HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

I'm so sorry crazy, make sure you give yourself time and space to rest.

welcome mizunderstood, and congrats! If the test says you're pregnant, you're pregnant!

I've had sore boobs for a few weeks and in the last few days have had lower back ache but nothing else...oh apart from being ridiculously tired all the time! I had no symptoms at all until 9 weeks last time, in fact it's weird knowing so early (I didn't get BFP until 8 weeks with DS), which of course means it'll go so slowly!

Add yourselves to the role call....

DS is being a pain in the arse today. I probably let him nap too long yesterday (going with my theory since he was tiny never to wake a sleeping baby!) which meant he didn't want to go to bed last night, was singing and chatting til gone 10pm in his cot. And is of course shatttered this morning and being so whingey and annoying. SO I gace him an early lunch and now he's napping - dear god please let him be nice this afternoon! Am seeing my local mums as one of our number moved to Sudan and is back for a week, so going to tell them all the news! And I'm too tired to cope with a whingey toddler...

Crazybit · 29/03/2011 12:16

Thank you for the nice messages, went to GP, have had a blood test and booked in for another on Fri so will know for sure when they come through but bleeding is pretty heavy so looks like not my time this month.

Misunderztood-Congratulations :)

All take care of yourselves :)

Joining you guys as did a test this am and got bfp! This will be my second as have 2yo DS.

I'm with those who said they will end up with bigger age gaps than they thought before their first was born, DS had reflux which calmed down when he was 1 but didn't go till just before his 2nd birthday. I found newborn stage very hard, but hoping to be one of those relaxed second timers who takes it all in my stride (I can hope!).

ThePippy · 29/03/2011 12:49

Congrats to Earwiggo and mizzundastood and congrats on the BFP's

Earwiggo with you on hoping to find it easier this time round. I think the thing I struggled with the most with DD was the shock on how much of me and my life I had lost - I kind of figure my old life is a distant memory now so there is less to be shocked over, and also the realisation that nothing lasts forever, so when I am aching from tiredness at 4am doing the 3rd night feed I will know it is actually over in the blink of an eye - there are days I still find it hard to believe my baby is a walking talking 19mth old toddler!

crazy sorry to hear it, hope you're ok.

Congrats and thanks to everyone else, especially Thunderbolt, so glad you finally got there.

I'm still in disbelief. Had sore boobs (like huge balloons Shock) and super hungry but put it all down to pms, plus I had tummy twinges which I now learn were implantation (thanks Mnet) but I pulled a muscle a fortnight ago thought it was that!!

Oh wow, done another test since this am still BFP and off to doc soon.

How the hell do I keep this quiet for 10 weeks???

Ha ha Thunderbolt thanks for that really helpful Grin.

I too have spent all day on MN it will be a good thing to go back to work tomorrow and do something productive! Faked a sickie and done no housework, (I know, I know, what a bad person) it was all I could manage to get dressed and not put my clothes on back to front!

Iggly · 29/03/2011 15:52

crazy really sorry to hear that :(

Welcome newbies, please add yourself to the role call Grin

As for waiting for the 10 weeks - it's hard!! I too have been checking prams out and baby names...

As for symptoms, I have sore boobs and occasional nausea.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 29/03/2011 17:33

what will i do with my time?! We're going to use all the old stuff from before and 9 months of ttc means we've got a good list of names.

I am so hoping to be less nuerotic this time round, hopefully having a toddler to run after will prevent me from becoming all consumed by my newborn

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 29/03/2011 17:45

i've had really strong lower back ache today....that's normal, right?

LondonGirly · 29/03/2011 19:23

Crazy so sorry to hear.

Hi everyone - sorry have been a little quiet since the weekend. I am now booked in to see the doctors on Friday - this is our first, so all a little new to me.

Think it is all finally starting to sink in, which is nice. Is this anyone else's first?

Well having managed to burn dinner (think this is the first time I have ever managed to do this) I am having pizza for dinner, not the best I know but needs must!

I have had some back ache but I also have problems with my coccyx, so tend to get some back pain anyway. I fell down the stairs two years ago, and managed to hurt myself quite badly (oops) much better now, but I am a little nervous about what this is going to mean whilst pregnant. My specialist doesn't think it should cause problems, but I wasn't too reassured by his "we'll put you on morphine if the pain gets too bad!"

Mizzunderstood I know what you mean!! I really have to stop wishing away time!

hartey · 29/03/2011 19:29

Hello everyone!

Would love to hop aboard - had a BFP yesterday at 10dpo so very early days! My own calculated EDD is 8th Dec!

Already seem to have heartburn and fatigue - this will, fingers crossed, by DC2 and all these symptoms passed me by the last time!

Congrats to everyone so far - and for those who have not been too lucky - just keep going!

kat2504 · 29/03/2011 19:34

Thought I'd tempt fate and put myself on the list. Stupid conception indicator not gone up and think i ovulated and therefore conceived later than i thought this month. But so far, still pregnant! It is so hard to get through all this waiting and worrying, with still 4 weeks until i can have an early scan.

Iggly DC2 due 2 December
Girlwiththemouseyhair DC2 Due 3rd December
Earwiggo DC2 Due 5th December
Kat2504 DC1 EDD 6th December
ThunderboltKit DC1 EDD 7th December
ThePippy DC2 Due 8th December

Really sorry to hear it hasn't worked out for you crazy I know how much it sucks. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you are taking a bit of time to look after yourself.

Bess12 · 29/03/2011 19:47

Pippy "I am totally expecting less "excitement" from people this time, and I think I might keep it quiet for longer - although I do like a few glasses of vino so as soon as people see me not drinking they will guess I think!"

ThePippy · 29/03/2011 20:41

Hi bess good to have you on board, even if we can't share a Wine.

I think we are needing a 4th Dec EDD looking at the list.

Just watched last nights One Born Every Minute - I can't imagine having triplets - clearly some people have so much more inner strength than me I think.

Hope you are all having a lovely evening.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 29/03/2011 21:47

Told my closest mum friends today who were all get excited, one even had tears in her eyes, yay! My boss on my next show just had triplets, it sounds mental! Anyone in chance of having twins?

Definitely getting the fatigue, fell asleep when I put ds to bed at 7, just woken by DH coming home from work, going back to bed and taking this backpain with me. Have heard everything is exacerbated 2nd time round, eek!

thunderbolt my brothers are non-identical twins and my grandad on my mums side was too. It does run in families so I also have that at the back of my mind! It's still unlikely but how exciting would that be?!

LauraSmurf · 30/03/2011 07:20

Hi!
Yes i am!
I just found out last night, need to do due date calculator!

Hi all! SO so excited

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 30/03/2011 12:50

that's quite exciting there's the possibility fo twins! Had doctor's appt today and he's put EDD as 26th Nov but seeing as I was 10 days overdue with DS and those calculator things take into account my ridiculously long gap between periods, I'm sticking with early December for now til I get a proper date with the scan.

Congrats Laura!

You already feeling sick thunderbolt? I'm incredibly tired and have this lower back pain which I keep trying not to get paranoid about. MS didn't start for me til 9weeks last time and only lasted til about 13weeks so seriously hoping for the same this time round.

Has anyone told many people yet?
