HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

Hello to you all, I'm new to this thread - am 6 weeks today. BFP two weeks ago, and so far only dh and I know (and local doctors surgery - my booking in appointment with the midwife is still 3 weeks away - it seems ages).

Just joined to say mizza, really vivid dreams was the first sign for me (before my period was due and I got the bfp). I do normally remember my dreams for a short time when I wake up, but recently it was almost like the texture of the dreams were different. Am not sure now if they are still like that, and I've just got used to them, or if they are reverting back to normal.

I have one ds (4), and I haven't got too many symptoms at the moment, although I don't know if I am imagining it, or if my clothes are starting to get feel a bit tighter already - I do seem to feel more bloated early on this time. Breasts are a bit tender, and I am quite lightheaded, but my blood pressure was really low first time around, so I guess that is nothing new.

LauraSmurf · 15/04/2011 15:04

Just back from booking appointment! All great, it all feels a little but more real now! Exciting, scary, wonderful and nauseous!! ( oh that should be our slogan )

LaraMi · 15/04/2011 15:16

Anyone been getting strong twinges...? Am 7 weeks today and after not having had any twinges for about 4 days, they have started up again. Not painful, just odd.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 15:18

Labour was a really positive experience for me. Slept practically thru it and had a pain relief free labour and DD was born in her waters. Membranes were totally covering her.

Think my heighten sense of smell kicked in today. A colleague of mine was eating some peanuts and I could really smell them and made me feel quite nauseous :( other than that is just needing to pee every 5 mins. got appt with the dr on weds to book in and get things rolling so can't wait

Cherrypi · 15/04/2011 15:19

Hi all. Been to the doctors this morning. They didn't do much except take blood pressure but were friendly. I'm six weeks approx and 29 by the way. Husband has told his family today so hope nothing goes wrong.

Cherrypi · 15/04/2011 15:21

28 I mean. Is it too early to blame baby brain. Anyone else finding it hard to concentrate?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 15:27

Cherrypi I'm finding it hard to concentrate because i'm soo tired.
Was it a joint decision your DH telling his family so early on? We are going to wait until we've had the first scan.

xstitch · 15/04/2011 15:37

We have told immediate family already. I decided that if something did go wrong The pressure of pretending nothing was wrong would make me feel worse. This is just based on my own personal experience of when no one had known I was pregnant so there was no one to confide in properly when things went wrong.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 15:54

I can def see that side of thinds Xstitch I'm only 3+4or5days pg so want to check that the 2 tests are not a fluke and the constant need to pee and tiredness are not all in my imagination lol. Am going to try and get an early scan as i'm a bridesmaid for my sisters wedding in June which would make me 13wks. so if i'm showing by then need to alter my dress but would like to tell her beforehand so she knows but don't want to unless i've had the scan that says everything looks alright.

Cherrypi · 15/04/2011 16:00

Yes it was a joint decision. He has more family than me. I just hope we're not tempting fate. As crosstitch said i would want their support.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:01

I agree with the support thing totally. :)

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 16:07

I'm sure my brain going wobbly already...I keep looking up and realising I've typed a totally different and random word to what I meant to and got really confused with the date of a meeting yesterday at work Blush My DH v keen not to tell anyone until 12 weeks / scan. I'm allowed to tell one friend though...so you guys are all going to have to put up with my chatter I'm afraid as I need to talk about things...not very good at internal processing and there are just some things DH really not going to want to know about or have any chance of understanding...eg CM levels, seesaw emotions etc!!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:13

BC I'm with you on that DP doesn't want anyone to know until we've had everything confirmed and its alright. so you and me can chatter away endless useless things together Grin

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 16:23

Good stuff darcies Grin

Not sure who was saying that their trousers already feeling tight but by the end of the day I'm sooo bloated and uncomfortable...going to have to root through my wardrobe to find all my loosest fitting work tops and bottoms as I just feel really fat and obvious at work at the moment which is a bit of a pain!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:26

LOL! loosish dress? maybe?

I think my colleagues will get an idea if I keep getting up to go to the loo to pee!

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 16:36

They'd all definitely guess something was going on if I wore a dress to work...I get enough comments when I wear a skirt! I work in an almost entirely male office so tend to stick with trousers most of the time mainly because that's what I prefer anyway! When one of the other girls at work was PG last year she wore dresses and leggings most of the time but really not sure how I'd feel in leggings at work so will have to see how it all goes...

xstitch · 15/04/2011 16:39

I know what you mean darcie I am getting married in July and freaking about how much adjustment my dress will need .

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:40

I wear leggings to work - I work in a drs surgery, they are very comfy although not sure how comfy they will be with a bump!

Ahh so loose trousers and tops it is then lol.

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 16:43

Congrats xstitch Grin have you bought your dress yet? I guess if you haven't then you just need to make sure you get the best style for altering/looking your best with a bump! When I got married they had to take loads off the bottom of mine as I'm short and I was amazed how well they did it without wrecking the train and sorting out the halter strap/bodice so think a lot of the seamstresses associated with wedding dress shops are pretty experienced in making dresses fit all shapes and sizes! Just means you might have to have a few more dress fittings and get it adjusted closer to the day to reflect your actual size then.

xstitch · 15/04/2011 16:46

Its already ordered was convinced wouldn't succeed so quickly with Dp being away so much. Keep telling myself can't be the first time they've had to do it.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:46

Congrats Xstitch don't freak out too much it'll be fine :)

xstitch · 15/04/2011 16:47

My DP keeps saying does it matter if you look like you have a bump? I keep saying no but its bad if I can't actually fit in the dress. He doesn't quite get it, bless him.

BlueCrane · 15/04/2011 16:51

xstitch I'm sure they'll be able to sort it out...what sort of style is it? By 'already ordered' I take it that it hasn't arrived yet? It might be worth giving the shop a quick call just to explain and get their thoughts just in case they think it might be a problem and suggest swapping for a differen style?!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 15/04/2011 16:51

Men and their logic aye! and its not like you can breathe the bump in lol.

Cherrypi · 15/04/2011 16:52

Ooh congratulations xstitch. I'm glad it's not just me who's finding their jeans tight. Definitely going to buy some larger leggings for work and some summery dresses.
