:( chip so so sorry!!

can i please have some help? i havent been on since friday, iv been a bit devastated as myself and dh were sure we were miscarrying, it started off just brown blood but then turned to pink, iv not had any bleeding since, but i have been having horrendous cramps in my abdomen pretty much constantly since friday now! im so confused as symptoms have pretty much gone when i was having quite severe sickness before, i did a test today and the lines still came up instantly again! does this sound like iv still got some hope? im desperate for it not to be over:( xxxx

cep · 20/03/2011 17:57

3rd it is really frustrating and horrible to have blood of any sort. I'd book an appointment for tomorrow with your dr, unless you can self refer to your local epu. fx it's all ok. As you know i've had bleeding on and off for the last week, will find out tomorrow if everything's ok.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 20/03/2011 17:57

You need to go to the doctors 3rd, the hormones won't disappear instantly if you have miscarried, but that doesn't mean there is no hope. The doctor should send you for a scan straight away (they did for me), which will let you know for sure one way or another. I know lots of people who have been convinced they are miscarrying who turn out to have healthy happy babies. FX for you, make sure you get checked out though, it might be something else causing the bleeding which can be stopped easily. xxx

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 20/03/2011 18:09

cep fx for you tomorrow! im absolutly petrified! i hope everything will be fine for you xx

lizzy im just terrified that if i have another scan theyl tell me the babys gone or going. i only had a scan on wed and it had a heatbeat! isit possible that it could just be like a strange take on period pain? (i would be due on about now) i think i might be clutching at straws here. iv had this exact pain before in previous pregnancie that didnt end well :( xx sorry foe depressing post xx

TerrysNo2 · 20/03/2011 18:12

Evening all

So Sad to hear about your MC chip, I hope you are ok and have a healthy pregnancy soon.

3rd also Sad to hear about your bleeding and cramping, AFAIK there is always hope as some people do bleed during PG but you should go to docs asap to get checked out. As Lizzy says you should be able to get a scan (unless you live where cep lives Hmm) straightaway. Keeping FX for you.

cep I hope you get some sleep tonight!! Will be looking out for your return tomorrow. What time is your scan?

I am feeling so shattered and sick all the time, I don't remember feeling this sick with DS.

OP posts:
cep · 20/03/2011 18:45

thanks 3rd and terry's i'm petrified as well 3rd can't help but think something wrong. terry's i really need some ds was awake from 4:30 this morning and wouldn't stay in his room, dh took them downstairs about 8 and i managed to get more disturbed sleep, but have felt rather ill all day due to to weird sleep pattern. It's at 9:10.

3rd just saw your note about it being about that time of month, a lot of women have an odd bleed around that time of month it's called decidual bleeding see this get a scan just to reassure you.

smilingcl · 20/03/2011 18:53

Chip and 3rd I'm sorry for the sad and stressful times, look after yourselves and wait and see what the dr says.

Escape, thank you very much for the book recommendation it looks really interesting, I do feel slightly superstitious about ordering it yet! I'm envious of your triathalon ability, it's like the perfect sport coz you never get bored! Are you staying in Greece or do you plan back to England? I guess at this stage at least they can't see that you're pregnant?!

I find that exercise seems to be keeping the nausea away aswell, or at least distracts me from it. I cycle to work everyday which I love, it's only when I'm at work that it start to creep in. Saying that though, I'm a food buyer and spend a couple of hours every day tasting and spitting. I've found that's not really working out so well recently and makes me want to throw up. Not looking forward to the next 6 weeks where I'm expecting actual ms to happen!

Does the relaxin hormone kick in in early pregnancy? In yoga just now I was able to get my heels on the floor in downward dog for the first time ever?! I'm quite enjoying my new found flexibility!

chipmonkey · 20/03/2011 19:19

Well I still have a bean and with a heartbeat! Still a threat of MC but we have survived this one!Grin
Sorry for causing all the Sad faces earlier, feel silly now!

3rd, get a scan. My bleed sounds way worse than your and if I still have a bean, I'll bet you do to!

deemented · 20/03/2011 19:28

Another one with a bleed here tooSad

Just been to the loo and when i wiped there was a couple of spots of brownish reddish blood. No cramping though so that's a plus.

Manshape and i had rampant sex this afternoon though, so am thinking that may have caused it Blush

Am a bit Sad and Blush

deemented · 20/03/2011 19:28

Oh Chip - thats bloody brilliant news love!

chipmonkey · 20/03/2011 19:34

deemented, the doc asked me if we'd had sex. Dh was glad we hadn't as he didn't want to get the blame! If post-coital it could be just a cervical bleed. Probably nothing to worry about.

cep · 20/03/2011 19:45

dee yes sex can cause bleeding. Envy especially rampant. is most likely to be from cervix, but get checked if worried.

chip yay so so pleased for you. Grin what has their advice been.

right i'm off for bath and early bed, i really need sleep after last nights fiasco. not sure if i'll have time to post before i go tomorrow. they really need one of those.

deemented · 20/03/2011 19:47

Good luck for tomorrow, Cep - hope all is well.

WuzzAndBuddy · 20/03/2011 20:00

All is forgiven hormonal lady, come back in, put your feet up.
Really pleased for you, fingers crossed its just a cheeky little bean keeping you on your toes xx

Dee really hope it is just cos you've been a saucy little devil! Wink
(I'm only jealous!) [sexuallyfrustrated]

chipmonkey · 20/03/2011 20:03

Best of luck for tomorrow, cep! Now, get some sleep!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 20/03/2011 20:06

Blimey ladies, I can't keep up.

Firstly yay for chip fingers crossed!
demented Envy at your rampant sex. With DD, I was horny throughout the pg, and this one looks like it'll be no different. DP knackered atm, = one v frustrated person here! Oh and of course, I hope all is ok with bean.

Cep fingers crossed for tomorrow Did I see you live in Athens or is that pg brain? I love hearing about other cultures. On my 2008 antenatal thread we had 2 ladies in France, and the difference between UK and there wrt pregnancy and birth is amazing. Can I be nosey and ask lots of qns?

Welcome to all the newcomers. Too many names to remember. Here's hoping we get to know each other on the journey.

I had major lamb chop craving last night and devoured the 2 that DP bought :)

Am knackered tonight. My niece had her 4th birthday party today, so we took DD and brought home a happy, tired, sugar high toddler. Bedtime was fun.......
I have forgotten what a 7am wakeup felt like on a Sunday - today it was 5.59am! You can bet it'll be 6.45am tomorrow when it's a work day...

I have my first midwife appt tomorrow afternoon. I'll only be 5+5 so I'm amazed to get seen so early. Am hoping she won;t faint when I ask for a homebirth, especially as DD was a c-section Grin

But the best news of the day is we've booked our hols! We normally go in Sept but I'll be too big to fly. So we're off to Florida in June for 2 weeks!!
It'll be ace - a last big hol before baby with just DP, DD and I. We've managed to get a villa with its own pool, 30mins from Disney world. Am sooooooo excited, don't care I can't go on many rides - I want to see the space shuttle!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend and the nausea is not too bad.

Sorry if I forgot anyone - this thread moves fast.

clipclopclipclop · 20/03/2011 20:10

chip that's great news you must be so relieved

cep everything crossed for you tomorrow and hope you get a decent nights sleep

3rd and dee it's so so worrying but it doesn't always mean something bad. I echo everyone else and see your doc. You'll just worry yourself crazy otherwise

Xx

goldmaple · 20/03/2011 20:28

chip what great news! Don't feel silly at all! Very glad you are back with us!

3rd def go see your doc! You never know whats going on. I had really bad AF like cramps until a couple days ago. FX that it was just some spotting!!

dee I too had a little bit of spotting today after sex. Had it before I knew I was pregnant though too so hoping its just normal for me.

knockedupagain · 20/03/2011 20:41

chip Hooray for you!
cep Best of good luck for tomorrow.

Hello everyone. I quietly slunk off this thread a while ago and just lurked as things were not going well, and I felt there had been enough bad news on the thread already. I had my first scan a week last thursday, and there were two sacs (to newbies: I'm 50 and had IVF), but one wasn't bedded in and didn't look good. No yolk sacs visible, which was worrying, tho only right on the cusp of when it should start to be. I had a nasty red bleed a week last friday night and passed 3 large clots. Phoned the hospital next day, but as they'd scanned me two days earlier, they wouldn't do so again. Really felt that that was that, even though my DC4 had been a twin and I'd bled a lot when I lost one, and he was fine. Had a private scan a few days ago... and there, to my astonishment was a bean... with a heartbeat!! Everytime I've been about to post since then, I start a little brown spotting and panic and don't in case I'm tempting fate. Don't want to say "Hi again!" er "Bye!". Sorry for the long post, but averaged out over last 10 days of silence, feel you'll indulge me!

chipmonkey · 20/03/2011 21:01

knockeup, I was wondering where you'd been! Sorry you've had such a stressful time but am delighted you still have a bean with a HB. Grin

goldmaple · 20/03/2011 21:01

knocked up sorry you've had a rough time! Really glad to hear that you have a little bean and a HB!!! Very exciting!

Hope everyone is feeling okay. Going to bed with crackers to help fend off sickness. If anyone has a better remedy I'd love to hear it!

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 20/03/2011 21:12

chip!!! so so happy for you!! :o

thanks everyone for such positive comments! im going to the docs tomorrow to find out whats going on. i cant help but be a litle more optimistic about things now, although dh keeps telling me not to get my hopes up, think this will be my last post for tonight (giving in to the pain, and just guna rest now) just wanted to say thankyou for advice and hopefull thoughts, wel see what tomorrow brings. serious tho chip unbeleivably happy for you! xx

Piplysmelie · 20/03/2011 21:37

Hi all

My symptons seem to be ramping up a bit. I seem to cry at anything at the moment. Also on and off sicknesss but my biggest symptom is my tummy! It is huge, may be it is because it is baby 3? I am a petite person 5ft 3 normally size 8 but honestly I have a proper bump. I can't have eaten that many crisps! Blush. Oh well!

Welcome to all the new ladies, always nice to see new people appearing on the board.

Cep FX for tomorrow I really hope all goes well
Chip I was so sorry to read your news and then delighted you had had some good news.

Knocked up Glad to see you back, FX all goes well from now on.
3rd & Dee I would repeat the advice previously given go see your doctor. I have previously gone to A and E when bleeding and then been sent up to Gyne.

Best wishes to all

Woodifer · 20/03/2011 21:54

Wow Chip what a rollercoaster.

FX for everyone else with worries

Good luck for tomorrow Cep!

I am getting a bit nauseous on and off - with wanting to eat - and not knowing what i would like to eat!

WuzzAndBuddy · 20/03/2011 22:52

Just off to bed but wanted to pop in and say good luck for tomorrow Cep, I'm out in the morning but will check in as soon as I can, will be thinking of you xx

knockedup, good to see you back, don't lurk when you're having a hard time though, thats what we're all here for, a bit of hand holding and a sensible voice (not that I'm very sensible though!) when you're feeling worried.
Stay with us, you're just as important as the next person who has worries xx

Hi everyone else! Hope you're all in bed now, getting well deserved sleep?
I'm on my way now, night night all xx
