Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WuzzAndBuddy · 24/03/2011 08:00

Morning.

Must have been something in the air last night, I hardly slept either.
Didn't help that DS couldn't sleep aswell...
He climbed into my bed not long after I'd fallen asleep and just wouldn't settle, he was driving me mad!
At one point he was wriggling down the bed and headbutted my stomach, not hard but it really ached after that. Then he fell asleep and I was laid there with stomach ache!

Work today... ugh... only 2 days and then its the weekend.

Got a family brief at DHs work on Sunday, find out when they're coming home, can't wait! Smile

bumpsnowjustplump · 24/03/2011 09:35

Bad nights sleep here too. Ended up with both little ones in my bed!! I dont need a bigger house when the new baby is born just a bigger bed Grin.

My baby girl is 4 now and it is really effecting me. Dont know why but it is. She will be in big school in september and I dont know how I am going to cope [sad women that I am]

Right better get on

Good luck with your scan dee will be thinking of you x

TerrysNo2 · 24/03/2011 09:56

8 weeks today!!! Grin Grin

Good morning all!

chipmonkey · 24/03/2011 10:11

Me too, Terry! Grin Going to see my obs later. Am in work now, have been congratulated lots and had lots of hugs!Smile

mashpot · 24/03/2011 10:30

Caz that's so funny you mention feeling hungover because that's exactly what I thought on my walk to work this morning. I feel a bit nauseous in the morning and especially while walking but I have a lot of experience in feeling hungover so am coping, for now!

Truffkin I hope the scan goes well on Friday and you enjoy telling your family. I was hoping you were having scan in London so I could benefit from all your research and book the same place but will have to do my own!

Hope everyone else is well on this fine morning.

rightontime · 24/03/2011 10:41

I have found strangely that my tried and tested hangover 'cures' do help with MS. Mainly spaghetti and sausages.

TerrysNo2 · 24/03/2011 11:15

mashpot where do you live? If you are in Surrey I can recommend the private scanning at St Peters Hospital in Chertsey, thats where I went

deemented · 24/03/2011 14:54

Hi,

Had a scan and found a live baby with a heartbeat.

But bay is measuring very very small for my dates. I know i am 7+2 today, but scan put me at 6 weeks exactly. Not sure how there could be such a discrepancy, i'm sure i'm further on than that. Clinic saud baby may be small because i'm going to miscarry - it's really just a wait and see.

cep · 24/03/2011 15:05

afternoon all.

dee could you have ov'd late?? i hope they're wrong. keeping everything crossed for you.

Woodifer · 24/03/2011 15:32

Arg for the uncertainty dee

but yay for the heart beat - where there's life there's hope

fingers crossed, and hugs to you xx

TerrysNo2 · 24/03/2011 16:35

Yay for a HB dee Grin sorry you are a bit concerned about the dates. How sure are you about conception? The sperm can hang around for quite a while! Keeping my FX for you.

OP posts:
dirgeinvegas · 24/03/2011 16:42

Dee congrats on the HB. I am a week behind my EDD based on my LMP. i knew I would be as I was using OPKs but at my first scan it was something they wanted to check (they don't believe in OPKs at my Hosp). Try not to worry x

dirgeinvegas · 24/03/2011 16:44

Did my post make sense? I mean I am 8 weeks but my LMP would put me at 9 weeks now.

chipmonkey · 24/03/2011 16:57

dee, I wouldn't worry. The relevant date is not when you had a period but when you ovulated. I was using Persona so am fairly sure of when I ov'd and my baby matches my ov dates rather than my LMP. Also I think the baby can also implant late which can also mess with the dates.

goldmaple · 24/03/2011 17:16

Hi everyone! Think I've caught up finally!

dee hopefully you ovulated late, could that be possible with SWI times?

busyboysmum will look into that book. Only 6+6 and feel like I need something to keep me sane already.

Had my 1st GP appt yesterday and apparently I don't see a midwife or obs, I just see her for the whole 40 weeks. She was very nice to talk to though and I get a scan next weds to date the bean:) very excited. Then I get a nuchal scan at 12 weeks if I want it... (I'm in Canada so we'll see how prenatal care differs here).

I don't mean to whine, but has anyone felt worse then they thought they would? I have had days where its like I have the flu and can't do anything... and even now the nausea seems to last all day. Just a bit worried that its going to get worse than this. I really need to work until 8months...

ImBrian · 24/03/2011 17:20

dee- i was two weeks less then i thought with my first and all was fine :) Was just having a bizarre month and oved late!
Im having a little mini panic, feeling very crampy which i have every preg so not too worried about that but considering how knackered and rough i was feeling just before i found out I'm feeling much better. It reminds me of when i had a mmc and i hate the thought of that happening again :(

deemented · 24/03/2011 17:42

Thanks all.

It's weird. I obviously don't know when i ov'ed, but just looking at my dates, if i am only six weeks, then it'd mean i got my first BFP just 5 days after ov, and really - how likely is that?

cep · 24/03/2011 18:02

ImBrian symptoms tend to come and go. unfortunately it doesn't help with the worries that come after a mc.

dee i'm not sure what to say to be honest, i don't know how likely it is to get a bfp 5 days after ov. sorry it's such a worry (((((hugs))))) fx for you. do they want you to go back?

chipmonkey · 24/03/2011 18:02

I think some of those tests can pick up the HcG very early, dee.

rightontime · 24/03/2011 18:45

dee sorry you are worried now. not sure what to say either. The fact that there is a little bean with a heartbeat is should be some comfort that at the moment you are still pregnant and if it measures a little small I wouldn't be too worried personally (easy to say, I know). I think something so small must be quite difficult to measure and if they have measured even 1 or 2mm out I am sure it could make quite a difference. Although I am certainly no expert.

Enjoy your little bean. FX that it grows plenty in time for the next scan.

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 24/03/2011 19:07

No need to worry about it I'm sure Dee The dating is not an exact science, they are pretty much guessing this early on. Just wait and see what happens at the next scan, they might go back to your original date. Hope you aren't worrying too much, fx for you.

I am so bloated and full of heart burn and constipation today. I'm feeling a lot more ill than I thought I would. I honestly thought I would barely feel anything, and I can hardly get through the day at school between feeling sick, exhausted and faint. I feel guilty for complaining, but I'm suddenly scared that I can't cope with pregnancy, how the hell will I cope with a baby?! We are looking after a friends 22 mo next weekend, and I can't think how we will manage, all I want to do is sleep!

Love and ((())) to everyone, x

TerrysNo2 · 24/03/2011 19:14

Lizzy the answer is, you just will!! And at least with a baby you get cuddles! Smile

knockedupagain · 24/03/2011 19:54

Hi all! Welcome to all the newbies, and congrats!
Caz, Sibelle and Escape Yay for good scans!
Dee FX for you. I really hope everything is alright. When are you due a rescan?
Truffkin Good luck for your scan, do let us know how you get on.

I'm actually not certain of my dates, which sounds bizarre when I know which minute the embryos were tranferred. I reckon I ought to count back to when the eggs were fertilised, which was two days earlier, but Dr Gomez was most insistent that I should count from the date of transfer. Also I'm not sure whether, if transfer was on a Friday, that means I am so many weeks + 0 every Friday, or if the week clicks over every Thursday as that is the 7th day. Anybody know?

ochaye · 24/03/2011 20:03

dee - I'm sure it'll work out. As the others say, it's so early to get decent measurements. I also lost 2 weeks with my first and was pretty baffled by it, but it all worked out.

I also had a rubbish sleep last night ... so did DD1 ... and I feel like I have a permanent hangover. Isn't it great to have so many people who feel the same to speak to?

bumps - I'm really struggling with DD1 being 4 too. She just seems so grown up right now. It makes me really sad. I think with a new bean growing it just takes me right back to when she was a bean. And when I hold her, all I can think about is how it felt to hold her when she was tiny. It makes my heart swell.

WuzzAndBuddy · 24/03/2011 20:43

Busy day in here again!

Dee, glad you're scan showed a little heartbeat, really hope things go well. Can't really offer much more than other people have said, scans at this stage can't be totally accurate, the little beans are so tiny... fingers crossed for your next scan xx

I know what you mean Bumps and Ochaye, DS is 4 in the summer and starting school in September. I look at him and see this gorgeous boy, no more little baby, he's so clever and gorgeously gorgeous, he makes my heart burst... but then, I see this little boy who's just too small for the big wide world, I just can't imagine him going into school for the first day. He's just a baby..!
Tonight when I put him to bed, I was sat on his bed, and just thought 'Bloody hell, I've got to make the most of every minute between now and November, he's going to be a big brother soon, so much more than he can understand....
I know its all going to work out in the end but at the moment I'm so bewildered by it all!

Eeeee hormones eh!? Grin
Feel like I'm going flippin mad!
Emotions are all over the house at the moment....!

Good luck for the scan Truffkin, hope it all goes well xx

Where's LkToday? Haven't seen her around since the begining of the week, last time she posted she was getting some pains and a bleed... hope things went well at the antenatal clinic today (hugs)
