Oh, Bumps and Diege, thinking of you both. I don't know anything except what I've read on here from time to time, but think that the worst case scenarios usually seem to involve bleeding, so will keep my fingers crossed for you. Glad you got your scan brought forward Diege. Lots of positive thoughts to you both.

It's good news! After having totally prepared myself for the worst (to the extent that I was blubbing so much on the scanning table she couldn't scan me until I calmed down ) we saw a foetus with a strong heartbeat, measuring 8 + 2 (I'm 8 weeks today). Absolutely astonished, still can't really take it in. Am back in 2 weeks for another scan, but for today all is good . I really hope you have similarly good news BUMPS from your Friday scan x

Hi ladies.

Just back from hospital... Had a massive gush of blood and a handful of massive blood clots (like half the size of my palm big!) phoned delivery suite and was told to phone an ambulance if I couldn't get there fast enough. They were worried I might have been heamoraging (sp?)... Anyway seems its most likely just an infection so I'm home and just waiting on blood test results in the next couple of days.

Cant - how awful and shocking for you! Glad you got checked out ( no option from the sounds of things) and hope the infection clears up quickly.

Yay Diege - so pleased for you - no chance at all to get on here today to check.
Bumps - thinking of you for Friday.

THanks everyone! Still getting a bit of dark-ish staining on paper after a wee, but less than yesterday so fingers crossed it's tapering off.
CANT you poor thing, what a horrible shock that must have been. YOu did right to get to the hospital, and fingers crossed the infection will resolve quickly. Have they prescibed ABs or are they waiting for the results first?

Afternoon... Yes last night was very worrying! Was in tears to DH worrying about what could have been wrong. Waiting on blood results for any AN's, tho got some pain today, gonna keep an eye on it and if I dint get results by tomorrow I'll maybe get onto midwives in the afternoon.

Still a bit worried tho, as I dint actually know thats causing it- leftover placenta was mentioned the only thing I've heard about that isn't good... So just keeping positive that it is just an infection left.

Diege- glad to hear your bleeding is railing off by the sounds of it.

CANT, I'll admit my first thought was 'retained placenta', but I think this would have happened a lot earlier and you would be extremely poorly. Fingers crossed it's something easily treatable, but keep on at the mws if the pain gets worse or if you get a temp x

Well it seems my bleeding has all but stopped... Had a teeny tiny amount since first thing this morning... Pains still there but dulling by the hour.

The midwife said that if it was some placenta my body would have gotten rid of it and stopped bleeding or I'd have become very ill... As I was still bleeding when I was there about an hour after the clots they didn't think that was the case, however as I've lost very little since leaving hospital I'm wondering if it actually was that... Not heard from the blood test today, so just hoping I hear either way tomorrow.

DH is doing a stock take at work this evening. Was here till 2ish and didn't wanna leave me- poor thing was very worried taking me last night, I had to go alone too as he had to bring the kids home for bed etc. This last few weeks he's been amazing. Think I need to spoil him once all is well again! Trying to make a plan!

Just heard on the main breakfast news that we had an earthquake here last night... I didn't feel it myself tho. And DH is so skeptical about this morning that he doesn't believe it!
