Hi! Well have booked the hotel for the 23rd - finally settled on somewhere central after a few non-starters that looked good on paper but had terrible reviews...Will be staying over on the Sat night. Hotel (Hilton Metropole) is on the Edgeware rd, so I'm guessing not too far from Hyde park? (are we still meeting at the Diana Memorial Gardens?). Feeling pretty excited now!

hotcrossSES · 10/06/2011 21:07

Diege - yay for booking hotel!

Giraffe - happy birthday! Sounds like you've had a great day from your FB post

Cant - happy birthday for tomorrow! Hope you have a great time at the wedding.

tink - how did the Drs appointment go?

Rugby - sounds like a great time was had by all for your Dad's birthday but I'm not suprised you're tired!

Gruff - sounds like everything's working out really well for you :) Well done with the BFing and sounds like you've all settled really well into the new house. I'm really pleased for you :)

Buggies - I'm thinking of getting the Maclaren Quest here I can benefit from my staff discount :)

I've been feeling much better the last couple of days. My belly has shrunk back a little bit so I don't look pg anymore and I've lost about 4lb in the last week. I know they often say that after your first you can start to look pg really early but I was only 8 wks and it wasn't a viable pregnancy so it really didn't seem fair! Finished my ABs today too so hopefully my body will settle down a bit. I'm going to POAS in the morning and I'm hoping for a BFN! Hopefully a week after the ERPC will be long enough although I do know from the mc boards that sometimes it can take longer.

tinkbig · 11/06/2011 14:45

hi diege and ses

yes drs went great she is being referred

hotcrossSES · 15/06/2011 07:31

Ok.... I'm going to break through the tumbleweed in here.....

Hope everyone's ok?

I'm feeling a bit p*ed off this morning. Still got a BFP this morning 12 days after ERPC. Bleeding stopped about 4 days ago but I wish I could shake off this BFP! It comes up fairly quickly too so I'm worried that the ERPC wasn't complete and I'll need another one. I'm going to phone the EPU when they open this morning and see what they say.

Rugbylovingmum · 15/06/2011 10:19

That's rubbish Ses Sad. I don't know how anything about how long you should have to wait for a bfn after ERPC but if you are worried you should definitely speak to someone. I hope you get a bfn soon!

Tink - I'm glad you got the referral, let us know how it goes.

hotcrossSES · 15/06/2011 14:20

Hello Rugby and tink! The tumbleweed is fading!

EPU said test again in a week and then phone them if still BFP. All this waiting is v frustrating!!

Diege · 15/06/2011 15:25

Hello! Sorry you're going through this SES Sad I remember after my mcs that the nurse said it was usual to get a bfn within 2 weeks, but not that unusual for it to take up to 4. The last thing you need though Sad I would think that if you're not in any discomfort, that all should be ok in terms of the procedure, and it's 'just' a case of waiting it out xx
TINKS, sounds like a very productive start to the week! I also love Amazon, and frequently pop on to get a little treat or two Grin
RUGBY hello! I may have this wrong, but are you starting to ttc for number 2 around now? Apologies if I'm completely wrong Blush
All fine here, apart from the constant rain. Baby wriggling around now; feel something pretty much every hour, which I'm taking as a good sign. Very worried about the 20 week scan on Monday (based on past 20 wk scans) but am forcing myself to go through with it just in case there's anything there that seriously needs follow-up etc. We will be finding out the sex though if poss, so that's a nice bit to look forward to Smile
Love to all,
Diege xxx

Rugbylovingmum · 15/06/2011 16:59

Ses - I'm sorry they can't really tell you anything definite, the waiting must be frustrating. I have everything crossed for a bfn for you this week.

Diege - hope they can tell you the sex, it's very exciting Grin. We are indeed ttcing now and I think that I have just started the 2ww but I have totally forgotten anything I knew about ovulation/my cycle Blush. Between camping last weekend (with DD sleeping between us) and a couple of very late nights at work there hasn't really been enough gofing here to give us much of a chance this month anyway. Still fingers crossed and all that.

Tink - you have been very busy! Urgh for sore teeth, toothache is just awful Sad, hope you get it sorted asap.

tinkbig · 15/06/2011 20:39

ses - bummer :( - waiting is the worst thing !!!!!!!

diege - thought u would like amazon my shopping buddy Wink
wow is it really 20 week scan already exciting sure it will be fine
movement is exciting sounds like u have an active one and finding out sex is very exciting Grin

hi rugby trying is exciting Grin

not good re tooth Sad
did an xray have a trapped nerve have to go back next friday to have it taken out!!!
i hate the dentist !!!

Diege · 15/06/2011 20:52

Ooh TINKS that does sound painful. Will they do it with a local anasthetic?
RUGBY, you never know, you may well have been successful as you seem very relaxed about ttc-ing which anecdotally often comes up with the goods!
Off to watch The Apprentice now Grin

SESthebrave · 15/06/2011 21:14

Thanks Diege! No discomfort so will keep testing every Sat and Wed and hope for that BFN soon!
I can't believe your 20wk scan is around the corner! Any inkling as to whether you think boy or girl?

tink - ouch! I've not been to the dentist in about 5 years Blush I need to find an NHS one to register with...

Rugby - FX for you!
Funnily enough although I'm really worried about RL friends announcing pregnancies I'm really rooting for my MN friends! Hope you and Giraffe won't be waiting too long!

I'm watching The Apprentice too - I'm loving this week's so far!

GruffaloSoldier · 15/06/2011 22:16

Hi everyone,

I haven't said anything before as I was trying to stay positive but my mum is back in hospital (second time in 2 weeks) she is not well at all. I have spent all week crying my eyes out as she is 500 miles away and I want to be with her. I am so scared that we are going to lose her.

Me and my sister spoke tonight and decided if no change in a couple of days then we are going to have to make arrangements to go up there. Just because we don't know for sure what is happening and we would never forgive ourselves if, God forbid, anything happened and we weren't there. For me it is a bit more tricky with DS2 being 8 weeks old and DS1 only 2. I can't really travel up on my own. DH has just started his new role and is really short staffed at work already. So it is going to take some organisation.

My other sister is on holiday - a 12 hr flight away :(

It doesn't seem real that we are going through this. I am so worried. It's not fair, she is only 64. And it is horrific that she is in so much pain :

I am sorry to put a downer on the thread but I thought I would let you know whats going on.

DH is away at a conference tonight so I am feeling very down.

Hopefully we will hear good news tomorrow but until then all I can do is sit here and worry.

Sorry for the me post

SESthebrave · 15/06/2011 22:21

Oh Gruff - really sorry to hear this :(
Wish I could do something to help (if there is anything, just say the word) but I'm here to listen.
It must be so hard being so far away but I hope you can get something sorted to be able to go and see her.

Thinking of you and sending blatant hugs and positive thoughts for your mum and all of your family.

GruffaloSoldier · 16/06/2011 01:00

Thanks SES

sorry I didn't mean to post and run - but got distracted by sorting DH's fathers day present.

Thank you for your post. I am struggling at the mo, just don't know what to do with myself. Just have to take each day as it comes.

I'll keep you posted. Im in bed now. DS2 has been asleep since 8.30 and just wondering whether to wake him for a feed. I don't want to go to sleep, Im too scared of tomorrow :(

OP posts:
SESthebrave · 16/06/2011 06:19

Gruff - yes, take each day as it comes. Have loads of cuddles with your DH and DSs and offload here whenever you need.
Hope the news today isn't as bad as you fear. Do let us know when you get a minute xx

Starshinetiger · 16/06/2011 06:21

Oh Gruff, so sorry to hear that your Mum is in a lot of pain - that's really tough on you being so far away. If there's anything I can do, please just say. Thinking of you lots.

tinkbig · 16/06/2011 12:13

oh gruff so sorry must be so hard for you
here if you need to talk
hope u get some news today

Diege · 16/06/2011 20:21

GRUFF so sorry to hear your news Sad Will be thinking of you xxx

bumpsnowjustplump · 16/06/2011 22:08

Hello all, so sorry for absence I have been so busy.

I had my 20 week scan today and I have a pink one.... Grin. not that I would have minded either way but kind of glad that Owen will be less of a middle child somehow now. (also glad that I will infact have some clothes thanks to a very generous lady in a barn.)

going to catch up on everyones news now xx

tinkbig · 17/06/2011 11:08

bumps that is great news:)

Rugbylovingmum · 17/06/2011 13:17

Gruff - I am so sorry you and you're family are going through this Sad. I really hope your mum is feeling more comfortable today. Where is she in hospital if you don't mind me asking (just general area) - is it close enough to any of us that we can help out if you do want to come up?

Bump - great news and I'm glad the scan went well!

Ses - how are you feeling today?

Hi Tink, Star, Diege ....

Diege · 17/06/2011 13:30

On the back of RUGBY's post GRUFF, I was going to say that if you're coming up anywhere near Warrington area, you're more than welcome to stay over here x

GruffaloSoldier · 17/06/2011 23:22

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that I arrived at my mums bedside in Scotland at 3am this morning with DS2 age 8 weeks old. Myself my sister and stepdad stayed with her throughout the night. She was sleeping the whole and she did not see me but she squeezed my hand when I spoke to her. She died peacefully at 12.25pm today, and she fought this horrendous disease til the end. I can't tell you how devastated we all are to lose such an amazing woman from our lives. However I am relieved that she is no longer suffering.

Thanks to everyone for all your support xxx

Oh Gruff so sorry to hear about your mum Sad but glad you and your sister got there in time. Hope everything goes well for you while you're away from home, especially as you have your teeny DS with you too.

Sending a big fat blatant [hug] your way, and as always we're all here for you if you need us. xxx
