Rugbylovingmum · 27/05/2011 18:12

Oh yes, I forgot about the bank holiday Smile. Now that I don't work Mondays BHs aren't as exciting - instead of an extra day off it just means that the softplay etc is very busy Hmm.

My mum is coming for the weekend so C is very excited, grandma is her favourite person Grin. My friend and godson are coming down too so it will be a busy weekend but it's fab to see them.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Hello tink - not long til your birthday Grin

Hope everyone enjoyed their BH weekends.

We enjoyed visiting my brother and SIL. It was a good distraction from everything but back to earth with a bump today. My next appointment is tomorrow (was meant to be today but I postponed it due to work - I figured another day wouldn't make a difference).

GingerbreadGiraffe · 01/06/2011 07:10

hotcrossSES · 01/06/2011 07:49

Thanks Giraffe - it's at 10.10am. DH coming with me but needs to head off to work immediately after. As it's a Wednesday, Owen's not in nursery so I've confided in one of my NCT friends and she's going to mind him for an hour for us. Will probably go to soft play this afternoon with her and her DD.

Hope everyone else has a good day!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 01/06/2011 08:36

All the best Ses xx

bumpsnowjustplump · 01/06/2011 10:02

thinking of you ses...

Sorry i have been awol again but really busy.. Have the whole day off today so doing housework all day and baking with dd this afternoon...

Rugbylovingmum · 01/06/2011 10:26

Morning all,

hope the appt is okay Ses and you have a good afternoon at the softplay.

We had a lovely bank holiday weekend with my mum and C loved having 'andma here. She didn't get a minute to herself as C just followed her everywhere but luckily my mum loves it Grin. My friend brought my god son down overnight too and they camped in the garden which L thought was brilliant Grin.

I'm shattered today - C has started waking at 4.45 every morning Shock. She has always been an early waker but this is ridiculous. I don't know whether it's the light mornings but having the travel blackout blind up behind her blackout curtains didn't help. Hopefully this won't last too long and she'll get back to her usual 5.30/6am soon. How old does she have to be before we can teach her to go down and play/watch tv on her own for an hour Wink.

hotcrossSES · 01/06/2011 11:52

Well no growth and no heartbeat. Bleeding slowed right down so ERPC booked for Friday :(
What I expected really but still trying to get my head around it all.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 01/06/2011 12:00

Ses- I am really sorry to hear that. Are you ok without DH this afternoon?

xx

tinkbig · 01/06/2011 12:53

oh ses xx

bumpsnowjustplump · 01/06/2011 16:10

Ses I am so sorry.. thinking of you xx

hotcrossSES · 01/06/2011 20:58

Spent most of the afternoon at soft play with friend.

What I'm most worried about is that my appointment is for Friday and DH is away with work from tomorrow morning until Friday afternoon.
I have to be at the hospital at 7.45am and have arranged for my cousin to drop DS at nursery in the morning. I'll need to drive myself to hospital but will probably have to wait for DH to pick me up at about 3/3.30 as I won't be allowed to drive home after GA. I'm meant to be free to go home about12.30/1pm so I just hope they'll let me wait for DH!

I know it's early days but I'm also struggling to get my head around ttc again. With my history now there is just such a huge risk of further mc and on the one hand I'm just not sure I can keep putting myself and DH through that. On the other hand, I really would like another DC and for DS to have a sibling! Plenty of time to think all that through I guess.

Starshinetiger · 01/06/2011 22:41

Ses, so sorry for appt. I know it's what you expected, but still so tough to go through. It's so soon to be thinking about TTC- give your mind and body a rest, even if just for a few days. Remind yourself you do have DS, so you've done it once. I know I can't say anything useful but thinking of you (and sending a sneaky non-Wagon-esque hug).

GingerbreadGiraffe · 02/06/2011 09:03

Morning All

Ses - glad you had afternoon out yesterday. Its a shame DH is away for work. I guess there isnt a way he will get home early?

Agree with star, give you mind a rest on the subject of TTC for now and look after yourself. You wont have to work saturday will you?

Thinking of you x

tinkbig · 02/06/2011 11:31

ses hope all goes ok tomorrow

Starshinetiger · 03/06/2011 11:49

Ses - thinking of you today. Hope thing have gone as well as can be expected and that they let you wait for DH to collect you (I'm sure they will).

tinkbig · 03/06/2011 12:47

thinking of u to sesxx

went for a lovely sunny walk to town bought cheescake icecream yummy

hotcrossSES · 03/06/2011 17:18

Hello all! I'm home now but only after what I think can best be described as a bit of a comedy of errors:

  • no Dr had been allocated to do the list of ERPCs this morning so they had to draft one in from another hospital. As a result I got to the hospital as requested at 7.45am but didn't go to theatre until 11.50am! (As a result it didn't matter that DH couldn't get me til later!)
  • lost a load of blood during the procedure and have been put on iron tablets for a month as anaemic as a result
  • painkillers requested to take home were initially supplied at the wrong strength
  • temperature went up after the procedure so they're worried I might have an infection so I had to wait around to see the Dr and now also have a week of antibiotics

I'm feeling really pathetically week and groggy still so hoping DH will understand me taking things easy tonight.
On the plus side, the nurse looking after me was lovely.
