I really hope the scan went well Ses, fingers crossed x.

hotcrossSES · 23/05/2011 11:29

Not great news. Although cervix closed, vague flicker if a hb and potential foetal pole, sac irregular and baby measuring too small. They expect me to mc naturally within a week. Have appointment to go back next Tuesday.

Ses I am so sorry Sad. Take care of yourself, we are all thinking of you.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 23/05/2011 16:54

Ses, so sorry to hear its bad news, was feeling so hopeful for you after recent wagoners going through similar things bleed-wise... Hope all goes as smoothly as possible, and that you can get enough rest. Thoughts are with you.x

GingerbreadGiraffe · 23/05/2011 19:34

Ses- how are you doing?

Been thinking of you all afternoon xx

hotcrossSES · 23/05/2011 21:00

Thank you for all your supportive messages. I actually went into work this afternoon as I decided that was preferable to moping at home. Worked as a good distraction. I may just be putting off dealing with it fully until the inevitable happens but it worked for this afternoon!

I just wish I knew when the inevitable was going to happen though and hoping it's not in the middle of an important meeting or anything.

DH has been great and we sat in the car park at the hospital for an hour crying and hugging. He also picked O up from nursery for me and bought me some flowers which he got O to bring in and give me.

They were really lovely at the EPU too and gave us the best photo from the scan.

No further bleeding yet but feeling a bit crampy.

Thank you again for all you love, hugs and kind words - it really does help.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 24/05/2011 08:29

Morning Ses

Thinking of you again today. Glad DH is looking after you. Hugs and flowers sound very good.

Lots of suppport here as and when you want it.
xx

Hi everyone else.

hotcrossSES · 24/05/2011 08:35

Thanks Giraffe. Woke up at 3.30am and couldn't sleep. Feeling a bit raw and fragile. Meeting most of the day in Gatwick. I've just arrived (early) so am treating myself in Costa for breakfast.

Diege · 24/05/2011 10:19

Morning. SES you are very brave; I wish I was with you to give you a bit hug. Hope being at work is helping but there's no shame in just going home of you feel rotton. Thinking of you x
Hi GING and everyone else x

cantmummyhaveabreak · 24/05/2011 10:28

Morning,

Ses- I echo what diege said, no shame in going home and hiding under the duvet! :) Thinking of you.x

Hello everyone else... Got indigestion, just had 2 soft boiled eggs and soldiers and they've not gone down too well... :(

GingerbreadGiraffe · 24/05/2011 11:51

Random Q Ses- does your DH know you've told us lot about what is going on?

tinkbig · 24/05/2011 12:31

Hi ses

you are doing so well sounds like your hubby is being great

received hammy cage in post was broken !!! grrrr
have been to pets at home and got one and treats etc
mum here having a nice day

still windy here but warmer and have some sun

hotcrossSES · 24/05/2011 15:35

Oh I'm not brave, just don't see the point of staying at home ina blabbing crumpled heap when I'm not in any actual physical pain (yet!)
It's all good distraction and I think I'm putting a pretty good act on at work!

DH does know that you guys know. In fact I think he thinks I talk to you lot more than him!

Still no further bleeding and DH is still hopeful that all might be ok. I've told him not to get his hopes up though as I'm certain when I ovulated and the MW was telling us that we needed to be prepared and they would support with the next pregnancy. Even if a miracle happens and there is growth and a hb next week, I don't think there's much chance of this baby developing properly when so small, irregular sac and weak foetal pole.

We're meant to be going away Friday to my brother and SIL in the Lake District for the long wknd. I still want to go but worried about if I mc whilst up there. Also they will probably expect us to go and walk up a couple of mountains (literally) and I don't think that will be the best plan! I'm thinking what I could do is phone them tomorrow evening and say I was in hospital at the beginning of the week with gynae probs so will need to take it easy. I don't mind staying behind on my own if they want to go climbing mountains!

Diege · 24/05/2011 16:10

HI SES, good to hear from you, and that the distraction of work is helping a little.
Re: the weekend, the only possible problem with citing 'gynae problems' is that they may not understand the severity of what you're facing (If you can't tell them though I can see how you'd want to keep things general). Do you still want to go?

hotcrossSES · 24/05/2011 17:07

Oh I would like to go (good distraction again!) but want to be able to take it easy. Didn't want to go into the detail because they have their own I fertility issues and actually won't be having any DC as a result.

tinkbig · 24/05/2011 20:30

hi ses - does sound like missing weekend would be a good idea do what u feel is best

have had a good day today

have set up cage all ready for hammy going to get after school on thursday

LaTourEiffel · 24/05/2011 21:37

Evening all, sorry been away again, DS1 is being a bit of a nightmare at the moment and DS2 is a bit under the weather.

About to go to bed but wanted to pop in and let Ses know I haven't forgotten about you, you're coping amazingly well. Thinking of you x

GingerbreadGiraffe · 25/05/2011 11:05
