Just taken the 10th off - apparently DH is doing an archery thing that day so wouldn't be able to have the girls.

Cool, thanks Diege - should get it posted tomorrow hopefully.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 05/05/2011 19:18

Where did you meet last time? Trying to work out if I'll need to get the tube too... Scary prospect if I will need to!

Cant - if I remember rightly, we met at Green Park last time and there is a tube there.
Wow, that's so cute that your DC want DC4 and clever DD2 trying to persuade her Dad!
Hope you have a good time tomorrow seeing your friend and baby again.

Hello everyone else!

I spent most of the day knicker checking and worrying. On the way home, I stopped off at the shops and bought a CB digital conception indicator test and went to the loos to test immediately. I reckon I'm only 4+2 (fairly accurate as I was charting) and figured that as I was testing in the afternoon, if it said 4-5 weeks, I'd be happy. It actually said 5+ weeks so that reassured me a lot!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 06/05/2011 07:26

Wuhoo ses, that means your hormone levels must be v high, and thats a sign of a good strong pregnancy.

As for london meet... Am now scared of the prospect of getting the tube alone! Only ever been on with DH!

tinkbig · 06/05/2011 10:09

yah ses Grin

dd1 back @ school after day off yest

Diege · 06/05/2011 12:07

Ah CANT the tube is easy peasy, and you know what I'm like with directions and lifts etc. The trick is to plan out your route first (I think London transport does an online journey planner) and you will be fine. I can't remember who it was that gave me great advice on here, but someone did!Is it looking like JUly 23rd? LIke CANT I'd save a lot of £ by booking now, so should we go for that date?

Moosy · 06/05/2011 12:56

23rd is looking good for me now too, so let's go for that date shall we?

Can't, there's an iPhone app for the tube map which I used last time, also buy your day travel card before you go, I didn't and had to queue for ages in a hot underground station, will be preordering this time! If you come in to the same station as me we could meet up and do the tube together?

Ses, glad your test looks good, do you think they'll let you have an early scan because of your history?

GruffaloSoldier · 06/05/2011 16:31

hey

i didnt get round to posting my dates...

but I'm pretty sure I can do 23rd July

Starshinetiger · 06/05/2011 19:56

Been lurking, not time to post, but 23rd is good for me too.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 06/05/2011 20:57

23rd sounds good to me! Will need someone to tell me what to do about train stops, where I'm going to etc... :)

Moosy · 07/05/2011 09:08

Are we meeting in the same place as last year?

Diege · 07/05/2011 09:19

Morning! So the 23rd it is! Grin Re: venue I'm happy to meet in same venue as last year unless other people have different ideas? I'm not at all familiar with London so just tell me where to meet and I'll find it. We will probably travel down Sat morning, and then stay over and travel back Sunday.
Have woken up with a stinking headache here and feeling generally bleughh but have to pick myself up as dh away and child's party to get to at 11am! Thankfully older dds are at a sleepover so makes things a lot easier!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 07/05/2011 09:51

i'm the same as Diege- tell me where we're meeting and i'll get there. Tho i will need telling which tube stop i'll need if travelling alone, or am happy to wait around in Euston for others to arrive and aid my arrival!! :) I'm not really that bad at knowing how to get places- but the tube scares me!! Have only been on it a few times, and always with DH... never alone!! so i'm super scared with the prospect of being alone, with a buggy... and possibly thinking of bringing DD1 too so she can see Diege's DD3... though it's be a super long day for her, and i dont know if it'd be wise with dd2 aswell... but i'll consider my options and if someone is happy to meet me at euston i'd be fine bringing her too, and then DS & DH can have a boys day.

got my sister coming today... think we're only planning a walk to the local shops and an afternoon of them trashing the house!! Hmm if the weather stays dry while we're out might allow them to go on the park for half an hour...

bumpsnowjustplump · 07/05/2011 13:54

Hello all 23rd is good for me. How about we meet at the princess of wales memorial park this time. it isnt too far away and has lots to do for little ones.. I will link to it in a min. We spent a whole day there last year it was fab...

I had a scare this morning. Was working and a lady had real problems with her hip she was in so much pain. She had deep heat and asked me to spray it on her. I did and when i left I started feeling funny, I had an allergic reaction to it (even though none touched me I must have got fumes on me). All my exposed skin went tingly and red and swollen. My face all ballooned up and my throat was burning.. I am fine now but am worried about any harm it may have done to baby, what do you think?? effects lasted about an hour.

back to work later but will check when i get home..

bumpsnowjustplump · 07/05/2011 13:57

park info here

Diege · 07/05/2011 14:26

Park looks great Bumps - gets my vote! Re: deep heat, I used it on and off when pregnant with dd1 (probably 4/5 times) and dr. said it was fine. Not recommended on a daily basis, but occasional use ok. I've also checked on the Babyworld website and it says the same, so don't worry! Allergic reaction probbaly due to your skin being more sensitive in pregnancy. Btw, I think I am one day behind you (14 + 1 today)?

Rugbylovingmum · 07/05/2011 16:57

Hi all,

had a rubbish day yesterday - 3 hour meeting with my awful boss, rejected for the fantastic job I applied for and worst of all I let C fall down the stairs at nursery Shock and Sad. I was carrying her down the stairs when I realised we didn't have her hat so I put her down on the little landing to check it wasn't in her bag. She wandered over to the top of the stairs but she is usually very wary of steps so I called her back but didn't move very quickly to take her hand and bring her back. She just stepped straight off the top step and tumbled all the way to the bottom before I could grab hold of her Shock. I was so frightened - she screamed for 5 min but then seemed fine. She has a small bump and a graze on her forehead but nothing more and she has been running around fine and it doesn't seem to be tender - she keeps pretending to drop her teddy then slaps her forehead and says 'oh no' so it can't be that bad. Thank god she is okay but I feel sick thinking about how much worse it could have been and so guilty - I was distracted by my awful day and wasn't paying as much attention as I should have Sad. Just thanking my lucky stars she is okay and hoping this is a better week!

The only piece of good news from yesterday is that we were going to put off ttcing until after this job as it was only a 15 month contract - not long enough for a ML - but as I was rejected we are going to start ttcing now Smile.

Sorry for me me me post, I'll be back later for a proper catch up.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 07/05/2011 17:31

Rugby- dont feel too bad something happens like that to us all at some point... When I was pg with dd2 dd1 managed to get hold of and open my anti-sickness medicine and buble some! Shock ds broke his leg at 2yo... All of them have fallen out of our bed, off the couch, down steps/ stairs etc. It happens to the best of us! :)

I got dd2 a bed guard earlier, then took the side off her cot and she had her first nap in her big bed! Wuhoo!

hotcrossSES · 07/05/2011 19:51

Oh Rugby , what a rubbish day but please don't feel bad. Accidents happen and they tend to bounce still at this age.
Yay for another ttcer :)

Meet up - all sounds good to me. I've not been to that park but have heard good things about it. Thanks for the suggestion Bumps !

Cant - I'm in the process (in my head only at the moment!) of moving DS from his cotbed as a cot to his cotbed as a bed. I'm a bit reluctant as he sleeps so well at the moment but he's also climbed out of his cot 3 times now so I need to do something!

Bumps - don't worry about the deep heat. It sounds like just an allergic reaction and unlikely to have got into your blood stream so even more unlikely to reach the baby.

Diege - hope your headache and bleurgh feelings disappeared?

We had DS's birthday party this afternoon - Jo Jingles with 9 of his friends. It was great but I'm exhausted now and then tomorrow we have a BBQ for friends/family with about 30 coming!

hotcrossSES · 07/05/2011 19:52

Wow! Didn't know you could do a whole sentence in bold like that!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 07/05/2011 21:15

Ses- when is ds's bday? Glad you had a good time today. Dd2 sleeps really well in her cot, but I want the girls in bunks soon so thought I'd get her used to a bed in her cotbed as a bed first, then move her into their room in the bunk when we get some. Put her for nap in it and all went well, she stayed in it... Tho tomorrow morning will be the test... I'll either have to get her out still or we'll wake to a jab in the eye from her or something similar.

Just watched sing if you can & bgt... Now its all a load of pants on tv so considering trying to kick DH's arse at monopoly after he won the other night!

tinkbig · 08/05/2011 09:57
