Hi all, a few days away and so much to catch up on, so apologies if I miss anyone.
Buffy So sorry to hear about your Grandad. My Dad spent 11 days in a coma after a heart op 3 years ago. (DD was 3 months old and I was so glad I was on maternity leave) Anyway, he recovered and when he woke he was able to tell us some things that had happened, conversations he'd heard, but also some things that he shouldn't have known. He'd had some very wierd vivid dreams, but he also knew there were lots of people praying for him. We aren't religious but we have a very religious friend who went on the local Sunday radio show asking for people to pray for him. So I'm sure he'll have heard something as important as your news.
Agbag I had a heavy bleed at 11 weeks last time, probably due to over doing it and a low lying placenta. This time I've had a lot of spotting for about a week at 6 weeks but it's stopped now.
I had my booking in appointment yesterday, with the midwife I saw all the way through last pregnancy... even though she wasn't my named midwife then either. I've requested Midwifery led care which I'm so pleased I can have. I wasn't allowed it last time due it being new, 1st pregnancy and low lying placenta, but hopefully it'll all work out this time. I've been assured that this way means I'll be encouraged to walk, be active and they'll be minimal machines. Last time I was hooked up to foetal monitors for the whole 6 hours and not allowed off the bed. With good reason, but it was still flipping annoying. I also get first dibs on the pool! Yay. My friend has just had a water birth and I'm seriously considering it now.
Our Midwives book the scan online at the booking in appointment so I'm due to have that on 8th April.
Mumma2b my blood tests consisted of one needle with 2 vials of blood. All over in seconds. I have to look away when it's being done to me even though I'm fine seeing/helping other people have them with work.
I've had horrendous indigestion every night now since Friday. Last night was the first night since then that I didn't spent any time on the settee. Oh how I miss my Lanzoprazole! Copious amounts of peppermint tea appear to have helped, and my MS has eased today too, barely felt queasy.
