Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

I had boob pain very early on before I noticed any other symptoms but all twinges have gone now. I don't think I have any pains with my first 2 but I think it was so early on that probably didn't associate it with pregnany.

Knockedup and freeangel Congrats on your PG's.

freeangel I have really bad wind too. better out than in though eh!

pookypup · 02/03/2011 08:43

*dog, :)

DirgeInVegas · 02/03/2011 08:46

Good morning everyone and welcome to Bumpsnow, freeangel and knockedup. How would you feel about twins knockedup? Thats a fantastic story, I have lots of questions too but shall ask you later.

Cep & Pooky I have no boob pain either. I get the occassional stabby boob pain which I had when I was pg last time (mc) but with DD it was one of the earliest signs for me. I think because I am still breastfeeding it changes thing slightly. Boobs change a bit later I think.

I have just been reading that if you are pregnant and nursing you should be eating about an extra 500 calories a day - on top of the extra 350 (2nd trimester) and 450 (3rd trimester) needed. I am thrilled Grin. Eating and enjoying food more is one of my favourite things about being pg. Does anyone else feel like that? I have no food issues when I'm not pg but when I am pg my life revolves around food, hunger seems more urgent and I feel like I enjoy food more, daydream about it, plan my meals all day. I did read that sense of taste is heightened in pregnancy so perhaps thats why. Have I just made myself sound like a loon?

I'm another windy one righton. Apparently it's to do with the smooth muscle in your body relaxing due to progesterone. Also causes early heartburn in some which I have a bit of now.

Anyone feeling particularly nauseous? I'm not and that's worrying me too. Should I worry yet? I lay in bed last night thinking I might book an early reassurance scan but apparently they don't do them until you're 8 weeks and my hospital one might not be too long after that.

No, no boob pain here either, didn't have any with the DDs though either (happily, as I'm tandem bfing through pregnancy now!)

I'm avoiding one paticular friend atm, she always knows when people are pg and I want it to sink in for me before eeryone else knows too. Weird, felt the opposite the last 2 times. Somehow I feel like expecting #3 to go as well is pushing my luck. Sad

DirgeInVegas · 02/03/2011 08:55

Lucy I feel like that this time but put it down to my mc. I thought it would be hard to not tell people but I am finding it easy to keep it to myself.

Wow, tandem feeding in pregnancy. How old are your DDs? My DD is 2 and feeding is getting a bit painful now. Fortunately she didn't wake for milk until 5.30am today but then she'd didn't want to stop. My poor nipples are killing me.

Morning all.. Well i did a clearblue digital and that says that I am 3+ weeks past ov so that means I am at least 5 weeks pg. I have a book in appointment and date scan on the 18th March so will know more then.

I have got bad pains down my right hand side but not sure if that is down to the nasty cold I have as I have been coughing all night and I just feel worn out.

DP is not really talking to me at the moment, he hasn't said anything about the pg to me at all.. Not sure what he is thinking, we havent really seen each other to be fair just for 10 mins each night, I am not working tonight though so will see how he is then.

I bought some pregnacare last night. God how much are they now. ! We are going to try and get a free quote from a builder of either going up in loft or build an extension over bathroom. If either are feasable and not too expensive then we will look at that but if not we are going to have to move.. Just hope we can afford to stay in the area as the school here is really good..

I have no symptoms at all yet so that worries me abit

Pooky i had both mine at pembury and will be going for that again they are amazing there..

DirgeInVegas · 02/03/2011 09:14

bumps I'm sorry your dh isn't talking to you. Do you think he is taking time to get used to the idea of another baby? It's not like you got pg on your own...

I am taking a pregnancy vitamin and an omega 3 one (can't remember the brand) and got them on a 3 for 2 from Boots which helps but they are still very expensive.

I had very strong symptoms with DD before I tested but looking back, I was further on than I thought I was and so probably my symptoms didn't start until week 6. Maybe we're just lucky this time bumps Smile

I'm going to a festival this summer. Not sure how I will manage that with a 6 month bump and a 2.6yr old. Hasn't stopped me looking for tents all morning though...Smile

dirge i feel a little queasy but nothing that makes me think i might be sick yet. i think it is quite normal not to feel sick till about 6 weeks. with DS2 it was 6 weeks before MS began.

lucy wow tandem feeding and pregnant- that is impressive, enjoy the extra calories.

i piled on 4 stone last time and only lost 1 so i am trying to be sensible this time. luckily i have gone off milk, cheese and sugary things so all of my culprit foods. Grin

bumpsnow hope you can get the extra space sorted out and that you and your DP have a nice evening together tonight.

Pregnacare is extortionate. Is it really nec? I have always looked at price at not bothered with it. I am just on iron tablets and folic acid ATM. I stupidly thought the iron tablets might keep the 'bone crushing' tiredness at bay but no such luck. Hmm

bumpsnowjustplump · 02/03/2011 10:07

rightontime with my other two I only took folic acid but as I am that bit older and my diet is poor due to rushing around working and running around after two children I thought I had better get the whole works...

may have to rethink that logic though..

chipmonkey · 02/03/2011 10:31

Folic acid only here.

My boobs don't feel majorly sore but I do get the odd twinge. I did have very sore boobs on ds4 so am a bit paranoid about this and keep poking them to see if they feel a bit soreBlush So long as I remember to do this in private, I should be OK!

Bit of nausea last two mornings but haven't actually thrown up.

Was on ebay last night and saw a great pair of maternity jeans, Citizen of Humanity in my size. I remember on another thread when I was pg with ds4, they were apparently the only ones which don't fall down but I think it would be tempting fate to buy them now!

When I do need them, what't the odds nothing like that will come up on ebay?

chipmonkey · 02/03/2011 10:33

By the way, we have a special occasion coming up, ds2's confirmation and I have to have a nice dress, something like you would wear for a christening or wedding.

Tried a lovely dress on but I need Spanx with it to hold my tummy in? Would it be very bad to wear spanx when 7-8 weeks pg?

TerrysNo2 · 02/03/2011 10:40

chipmonkey I wear the M&S all in one thingys - kind of like leotards with suction!! I think thats ok this early on, as its only holding in what was already there!!

I am taking the Sanatogen folic acid + omega three (when I remember) Blush

One of my breasts is bigger than the other and scratchy. It does not seem normal!! It was the same one that used to really fill up when BF too so maybe its the most sensitive to changes Hmm

lucyintheskywithdinos · 02/03/2011 11:30

My DDs are 23mths and 4 and a half, the big one only nurses once a day though so its no hassle. I was really fortunate last time round that I didn't have any problems nursing through pg, hoping its the same this time too!

bumps I'm really sorry, I really hope that he comes round quickly.

I'm taking Pregnacare, but feel silly. I really can't believe it!

Reallyusefulengine · 02/03/2011 13:22

Hello all,

I had my scan this morning and it isn't looking good unfortunately. There's no sign of the pregnancy so it looks like I'll be having a few tests over the next few weeks to figure out what's happened (or not happened as it looks at the moment). Sad Good luck ladies with the forthcoming months! My DD is a November baby and she's just about perfect!

xx

TerrysNo2 · 02/03/2011 13:29

reallyuseful so sorry to hear that Sad, I hope you find out what happens and go on to have another healthy pregnancy. Wishing you the best of luck with it all. xxx

DirgeInVegas · 02/03/2011 13:29

Oh no, really useful. How many weeks are you? You can't be much more than 5. Might it be too early to see anything? xx

OP posts:
DirgeInVegas · 02/03/2011 13:29

reallyuseful obviously.

OP posts:
rightontime · 02/03/2011 13:41

So sorry reallyuseful Wish I could offer you some kind of reassurance but have no clue about things like this.

Got my FX for you anyway and hope that your further tests turn out to be helpful.

jaffababy · 02/03/2011 14:29

Hello, all. I'm sorry to join on a worrying day for reallyuseful. I hope you get well looked after and are surrounded by lots of love.

I'm PG with our first child after an early MC in September. EDD 5/11. Feeling ok except peeing for England and very, very tired. Looking forward to pregnancy with you all.

chipmonkey · 02/03/2011 14:30

Reallyuseful, so sorry. SadI thought they couldn't see anything till 6 weeks, though? I do remember my obs having difficulty seeing ds4 at 8 weeks but then found him eventually. Do keep us posted.

chipmonkey · 02/03/2011 14:31

Welcome, jaffababy!Smile

chipmonkey · 02/03/2011 14:34

jaffababy, have added you to our stats thread.

cep · 02/03/2011 15:29

reallyuseful i'm so sorry it wasn't good news this morning. like the others i thought they couldn't see much until 6 weeks or so. fx it's sorted soon.

cep · 02/03/2011 15:33

jaffababy welcome and congratulations same edd as me. Grin we'll be having fireworks going off for us. Grin

pookeypup haven't you told him yet? is he home late? maybe you should do another poas and put it on a plate, put a plate over to "keep it warm" tell him his dinner is in the oven then when he opens it he'll see the result. (i have a large imagination)

all i took with ds was folic acid. i'm actually taking folic and vit d this time, don't think i'll do the pregnacare cause a, i can't afford it and b, apparently it turns your wee an odd colour and i'm already wiping 50 billion times a day don't need anymore things to worry about. Grin

jaffababy · 02/03/2011 15:48

chip thanks for adding me, and yes, cep, I'm aiming for those fireworks!
