Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Welcome pod and lizzy Congrats!

terrys hope your scan goes well! What week are you at, I haven't even had my first Dr's appt yet... its on the 23rd. lol... I am an idiot will send you my email address next time, thought MN did it automatically.

cep sorry to hear about more pink:( Hopefully you are just having a good symptom day and they'll be back full force tomorrow.

I normally eat pretty healthy things, so I thought eat well through pregnancy would be easy but I often feel sick half way through meals and can't finish healthy things but then end up eating junk later (which doesn't make me sick[hmmm])...

Does anyone take DHA as well as a vitamin supplement?

chipmonkey · 14/03/2011 17:11

cep ds4 is 2.10 and yes it was a good impression! Grin

Welcome Lizzy! It didn't take you long to get a BFP again, did it?

I have an aversion to wine too. I don't drink when pg anyway but Mumsnet had an ad with a wine glass on it a couple of days ago and I couldn't look at it!

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 14/03/2011 17:17

Hi all and congrats and welcome to those recently joined (well a bit like me too - less than a week since my bfp). Told my acupuncturist today and she gave me a hug, she was so chuffed.
She's a fertility and birth specialist, so I'm hoping she'll help get labour going if I go towards my due date as I refuse to be induced again.

Terrys good luck for tomorrow, hope all goes well!

I'm currently still in a bit of denial as have have so few symptoms. With DD I craved watermelon and DP had to bring me a big bowl of chunks every morning, so I'm hoping that will come back. I've gone off diet coke but intend to have a small glass of wine once or twice a week as I did with DD. In France they actively encourage mums to be to have a small glass of red with a meal once or twice a week.
I've also found out that a bottle of crabbies alcoholic ginger beer is less than 2 units of alcohol and the ginger beer is good for nausea!
result!

Ah DD back from nursery, must dash. Back later I hope.

LauraInGuildford · 14/03/2011 18:18

Hello - I am also early pregnancy around 5 weeks although not sure about the dates (sometime in November - I think about 12th from the digital tests) as was not quite over the pill and had my last period on the 18th December. Got my first midwife appointment on the 6th April and not really sure what to expect....

Symptom wise been extremely tired and whilst in a good mood if anything goes wrong I am in floods.

Told close family but no one else known for 2 weeks now and not telling is driving me mad - just about to go out for a work meal and thinking up my excuses about not drinking! Thought I would go off alcohol but I would really love a nice glass of wine with my dinner tonight but trying to abstain completely for the 1st trimester at least.

I am 31 and it is my first one and I have no idea what I am doing....it is all very surreal at the moment. I keep doing pregnancy tests to check that it is still happening....

Laura x

Loup23 · 14/03/2011 18:38

Hi all, thanks for the messages, unfortunately my bleeding has got worse and I spoke to the dr who thinks its a m/c. I'm going to be checked tomorrow to make sure not ectopic but I think I'm back to square 1.... Was really sad today but trying to remain positive and hope that I get another BFP soon that sticks - will check in tomorrow.

Good luck to newbies and all x

suziechan · 14/03/2011 18:40

hello Laura
congratulations and I totally know what you mean...if it's any help, I'm also clueless as it's my first!
Can you say you're on antibiotics or something to stop the questions? I actually have insomnia at the moment (probably pregnancy related!) which I'm using to cover for why I have so many Doctors appointments and why I'm avoiding alcohol to help me sleep better.
Take care!
Suz

suziechan · 14/03/2011 18:41

Oh Loup I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed for you. Please check in tomorrow, thinking of you x

goldmaple · 14/03/2011 18:47

So sorry loup Finger crossed for you tomorrow!

TerrysNo2 · 14/03/2011 18:50

Loup so sorry to hear about your MC, sending your way and hoping for a sticky bean soon for you.

Welcome Laura although from the sound of your dates you might want not be on the right bus?? 18th December last period on a normal 28 day cycle says 24th Sept as a due date. How do you know you are 5 weeks? Not that we want to get rid of you!! Smile

Pipsbump · 14/03/2011 19:17

Evening

Loup so sorry, sending you a ...I hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow.

Hello to Lizzy and Laura

Goodluck Terrys

I am shattered...I actually thought that I was going to fall asleep at my desk today. I've totally cut out my caffeine...I now only have 2 cups of real tea a day (and boy do I savour every mouthful). Have been drinking decaf...but who am I trying to kid? Wink

Just about to sit down and have my tea but just wanted to say hi to everyone :)

cep · 14/03/2011 19:39

loup i am so sorry the bleeding got worse. fx for tomorrow.

cep · 14/03/2011 19:42

welcome lizzy and laura congratulations

same old for me, but still determined to hang on in there till monday. Nausea's come back and am absolutely knackered. Some of the ladies on my mc thread who are now upduffed reckon that if you've had a mc you're more likely have a bit of pink/blood (just opinion not scientific). I think almost all of them have had pink at some stage and are all ok so i am trying to stay petrified strong and positive. i'm going to have a nice soak in the bath then watch one born every minute.

smilingcl · 14/03/2011 19:52

Hello Ladies,

I found out yesterday that I'm expecting. Can't quite believe it still, I did one test yesterday and then got a clear blue one today that says 3+ weeks. I've got at 42 day cycle so I think I'm due around 12th November. Currently feeling worried about drinking my way through conception stage while on holiday.. I did the test yesterday because I was a week late and my boobs were really swollen, I've felt kind of travel sick all day today and have just been eating babybels. Oh dear :) I'm really happy about it, now I'm trying to find out what you're supposed to do next! Haven't told anyone apart from my boyfriend and you! I'm 31 btw and haven't yet worked out what all the acronyms on this thread mean..

stripeymummy · 14/03/2011 20:00

Hello all, and welcome to all the Newbies, of which I have lost track since I haven't been on since Friday! (Took me half an hour to catch up Shock)

I'm really sorry loup, I have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

Have had on and off cramps and some sharp pains, and feeling totally knackered in the evenings, though felt really tired about lunchtime for the first time today. Also starting to get the crazy dreams!

Have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, anything vital that I need to remember, or certain questions I have to prepare for? Am a total novice Confused

We told our folks this weekend, and they're really excited, am still worried that it's too early.

Hope everyone is well xx

rightontime · 14/03/2011 20:18

Loup so sorry. Sad

Welcome Laura and smilingcl

Stripey From what I can remember the first MW appt is just checking weight, blood pressure, finding out your birth preferences. Although TBH I'm not really sure. I will have basic Dr's appt which will be oh your pregnant, heres your notes and a pregnancy book, go to the hospital and book your 12week scan. Wont see anyone else until then I don't think.

ochaye · 14/03/2011 20:24

Knitter!!!! How on earth are you? It?s northeastmummy - I changed my name. I was on the April 08 thread too! I didn?t realise you were on there too chipmonkey! Gosh it?s a small world Grin (ha ha ... just typed [groin] by accident ... i wonder what that smiley would look like).

[Whispers to MrsArch (in case it?s controversial) ... I?m a trained doula ... would love to come and doula for you! Unfortunately I?ll hopefully be busy doing the birth thing ... hmph]

cep - you can put baby in the sling yourself, it just takes a wee bit of practice. You?ll be an expert before long though.

Hey there wuzz, snoozle, pipsbump, pod, lizzy, laura and localcrackpot. Warm welcome and congratulations on your bfp?s. What a lovely collection of names!

Hang in there cep. You?re doing brilliantly! Loup, I am so, so sorry that your doc thinks it?s not good news. I?ll look out for your update tomorrow.

Terrys .... everything?s crossed for tomorrow. Try and get some sleep tonight Grin.

I am full of the cold and it?s completely disguising any vague symptoms I had. I?m exhausted, achy, starving and feeling generally rubbish ... all normal cold stuff. I?m 6 weeks today-ish!! Only one more week (plus a wee bit) and I get past my last mc time. It?s going to be a looooooooong week.

SnoozleDoozle · 14/03/2011 20:41

the weirdest thing happened me today. Was dropping DD (age 4 1/2) at playgroup when I was congratulated by playgroup leader on being pg. Cue look of shock and 'how did you know that?' from me, seeing as how only DH, my parents and one sister (and of course mumsnet) knew about this as of this morning.

Turns out that dd had been telling them all last week that she is going to be a big sister. Now, we have not at any stage mentioned this in front of her, in fact short of telling DH about the positive test, we have barely mentioned it at all - nothing to discuss really. So, it seems that by coincidence, dd chose last week to start making up fantastic stories, and somehow managed to make one up that is actually true. How bizarre is that? She has never done anything like this before!

Hils74 · 14/03/2011 20:42

loup so sorry, let us know how you get on tomorrow

welcome newbies!

i'm still getting sore boobs, bloating and all sorts of twinges, aches and cramps :)

no ms yet, but my mum and dsis have recommended rich tea biscuits so i have those just in case!

cep · 14/03/2011 20:52

welcome smiling and congratulations

snoozle that is bizarre.

clipclopclipclop · 14/03/2011 21:48

Hi!!

Can I join? Just found out on Thursday when I got my BFP. Think I'm due 17 November. Very very excited.

I have a dd who is two and a bit. This time round I have had symptoms about five days before I tested. I am utterly utterly exhausted. Been having afternoon naps when my toddler goes down and that is not like me at all. Sore boobies and feeling a bit sicky. but getting the dreaded cramps too!

Just wanted to say hi and join in. Will read back and get acquainted with you all

Xx

WuzzAndBuddy · 14/03/2011 22:18

Crikey you lot can talk can't you!?
I'm gonna have to get on here more often, haven't a clue whats going on.......

Loup, really hope tomorrow goes well, fingers crossed for you x x

Welcome and Congrats to more newbies, looks like Novembers going to be full of fun!

I agree Ochaye, we have a wonderful collection of names on the November bus!

What made you smile today ladies?
We came home from nursery this evening and I went straight upstairs to get into my comfy slouchy trousers when DS walked into my room, prodded my bum and said 'Cor mummy, your bum's squidgy!'
Couldn't help but giggle! Grin

chipmonkey · 14/03/2011 22:40

Loup, so very sorry the doctor thinks it's not looking good.Sad However we will all still keep fx for you tomorrow just in case he's wrong. Hope he is!

ochaye didn't realise that was you! Do you know, it took me ages to realise your posting name is och-aye. In my head I've been saying Oh-chay!Blush

Laura you do know those CBD tests stop at 3+ ? Your dates do sound as if you may be further along, unless you were using ovulation sticks so know when you ov'ed?

chipmonkey · 14/03/2011 22:41

Welcome to clipclop and smilingcl!Grin

chipmonkey · 14/03/2011 22:46

Snoozle, I think sometimes they just know at that age.

When I was expecting ds2, ds1 was about 20 months old and I was 8 weeks pg. Dh and I had said nothing to anyone, I was reading "Miffy" to ds1 and had got to the page which said
"If we could have a baby now, how lovely that would be"
when ds1 turned around and patted my lower tummy! We hadn't said anything to him about babies being in tummies as he was very young so we really didn't know why he did it IYKWIM.

This time around, about a week ago, ds4 was sitting on my lap, turned around , patted my boobs!!!Hmm and said "I like babies" We haven't told the kids anything about the pregnancy.

Bizarre, isn't it!

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 15/03/2011 00:42

more new people! congratulations!!!

loup seriously hang on in there, its not over yet, bleeding could be anything! if its just blood with no clots it might still be ok! fingers crossed and praying for you!![there really should be one for hope] xx

iv been trying to get an appointment at the docs today or tommorrow(having a burning sensation around my abdomen, back and arse ) but the receptionist told me "definatly not today, i can give you an appointment on wednesday" me..."well can i have an appointment tommorow" ...back to receptionist " i cant give you an appointment for tommorow now, only one for wednesday, if you want one for tuesday, youl have to ring up tommorrow at 8.30" is anybody else abit Confused by that logic?

so its monday today, you can give me an appointment for wednesday but not for tommorow, even tho there are clearly many spaces??????Hmm

im really feeling sorry for my litle bean! it must be starving in there! every single thing that iv put into my mouth has come out (with a vengence) 20mins later! i can also say that i have never in my life smelt so rancid! my dh is so lucky to have me!!! :o
