Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

cep · 12/03/2011 11:28

pip yay glad it went well. Are you going to go back?

cep · 12/03/2011 12:30

deemented how much was the one you had made to measure? i'm rather large and am a bit worried about buying something else that is just too small.

deemented · 12/03/2011 12:38

It was the same price, Cep - think it was about £40, but that was about three years ago now. All they really did was make the straps a bit lot longer for me, but as i said, they were really good about it.

I was worried that my peanutshell wrap sling wouldn't fit, but that's fine too, and i'm rather large too Wink

Nicnacknoodle · 12/03/2011 13:19

Congratulations, Piplysmelie on your scan.
Thanks for the supportive messages. Had a good nights sleep and feeling better this morning. Also told FIL and MIL this morning and it was great to see their reaction.

I wasn't going to tell anyone until 12 weeks but have decided to as I feel that I need the support. All this talk about slings and buggies I am still struggling getting my head around the fact I am actually pg.

freeangel · 12/03/2011 17:34

Hiya, How is everyone today? Welcome laabama

Glad your scan went well today pip

TerrysNo2 · 12/03/2011 18:04

Hello all - had a horrendous night last night at a 30th birthday weekend away only getting 2 hours sleep and having to make myself scarce from smokers who I couldn't tell I was PG so feeling shattered and a bit ill. Just want to say hello and welcome to all newbies. No way I could catch up with everything as I am about to die go to bed!

As for slings, I have my Kari Me from last time and can't wait to use it again, its so lovely having a snuggly newborn in it!!

ochaye · 12/03/2011 18:23

Oh Terrys I haven't seen that one before. It's very like the close.

Congrats on your scan pip.

Piplysmelie · 12/03/2011 18:26

Cep I think I might go back for another scan but I will see how I feel. I feel reassured for now.

Thanks everyone for your kind words of support.

It might be worth having a look on ebay for slings. I remember seeing some there that were made to measure but that was a while a go.

I had a closer sling which I loved - great for newborns. I bought a different one as DD2 got older but can not remember the name of it.

Any one else quickly growing out of their clothes. Not sure if it because this is bump 3 so I have no muscle tone left or it's all the crisps I have been eating!

chipmonkey · 12/03/2011 18:56

Great news about your scan Piply!Grin.

"Managed" my morning sickness today by stuffying my face. Went to MacDonalds to get a Sausage and Egg McMuffin but they were closed! This MacDonalds can't seem to make up their mind about whether they open for breakfast or not! I could see staff inside but after thinking about it, decided NOT to bang down the door shouting "I'm pregnant, dammit! " but had to go to Burger King for their inferior version of the thing!
Did the job though. Grin

I find there's no consistency with what I can and can't eat. Couple of days ago the thought of a brekkie like that would make me ill. Today I felt I needed it!

cep · 12/03/2011 19:59

evening all, having a bit of a stress here, had pink when wiped earlier checked cm and was bloody. went i went to the loo a bit later had a glod of pink cm on tissue. Is all to similar to last time. getting slight achy cramps on right hand side, starting to think i may be leaving here soon. Sad

deemented · 12/03/2011 20:03

Oh Cep i'm sorry - can you possibly fo to OOH docs for an EPU referral?

freeangel · 12/03/2011 20:34

cep thats not good, hope its not what you think. I havent got any advice for you really except rest and maybe contact an out of hours clinic. xx

chipmonkey · 12/03/2011 21:04

Oh, cep!Sad Can you ring your hospital and talk to a doctor or MW? FWIW, I had a lot of cramping with my second bleed and they still found the bean. Don't give up hope yet.

busyboysmum · 12/03/2011 21:06

Sending lots of vibes your way Cep - my SIL had a lot of bleeding with her baby and he turned out fine, I hope your baby hangs in there for you xxx

ochaye · 12/03/2011 21:34

cep - phone the hospital and speak to someone. Or even try A&E if you're worried. Look after yourself xxx

cep · 12/03/2011 22:05

Have had no more pink so hopefully that'll be it for now. It sounds daft but i really want to try and hang in there until next week, i have my dr's app on the 21st if i can get her to arrange a scan for me then that would be around the approx date it died last time. if it's ok then i can breathe a little better. If i get one now it'll be just too much like last time and i'll just be a mess for the next 5 weeks. Does that make sense? Thankyou all for your kind words.

chipmonkey · 12/03/2011 22:31

Glad its stopped, cep. Hopefully it's just a one-off. Do you still have nausea, sore boobs, etc?

cep · 12/03/2011 22:44

still getting nausea boobs never really got sore anyway although nips have started being sensitive over last couple of days. as i said it's just too much like last time for comfort.

Piplysmelie · 12/03/2011 22:52

Cep I am sending good thoughts your way.

If the bleeding has stopped that is a good sign.

chipmonkey · 12/03/2011 23:33

Nausea is great! I didn't get sore boobs on all my pgs either, just on ds1, ds4 and this one. I think you more than likely still have a baby in there!

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 12/03/2011 23:54

hi everyone, not been on for a bit, cep dont give up hope! fingers are crossed for you and sending good thoughts your way xx

pookypup · 13/03/2011 08:49

Hi cep so sorry to hear you are having a worrying time at the moment. Thinking of you and hoping all goes better today x

rightontime · 13/03/2011 09:30

Cep hoping that all the pink and bleeding stops for you and you can enjoy another 8 months of pregnancy.

nicknak welcome, and stand your ground at work. they are not allowed to ask you to do duties that may put your baby at risk. Know your rights and stand up for them. The emotional side of things just gets worse IME.

I am telling the last of my immediate family today. I am nearly 6 weeks. Have told DH side of the family and my mum so just need to tell my brother and sisters today.

Sling wise I have used hugabub previously but it seemed very long. I plan to use ringslings and woven wraps next time.

if anyone is interested in slings have a look at naturalmamas.co.uk. forum you can buy second hand there and there are plenty of fluffier mummys that you can buy longer slings from. Also check out slingguide.co.uk for information on different types.

Slingmeets as previously linked to are good for trying stuff out and seeing it before you buy elsewhere.

Loup23 · 13/03/2011 09:33

Good luck cep Fx for you x

Can I join? I tentatively POAS this morning fully expecting a BFN (been TTC sine MC in Oct) and it was POSITIVE!! YAY!!

(Waves to Chipmonkey, we're on the April 08 threads together too) Smile According to the MN due date calculator this one will be due on Nov 20th, but it'll be a week and a half-ish earlier than that because I'm diabetic. I've just realised that it will possibly have a birthday date of 11/11/11, how cool!
