Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

I knew that wouldn't be the last of her!! Grin

Oh I LOVE lists!! I have my one from DS, its extortionately long and I will amend it this time now I know whats needed and whats not, but happy to e-mail it to any newbies if you PM me.

BTW - I am a hippy sort too *chip - a extended breastfeeding, cloth nappy using, baby led weaning, Gina Ford devotee!! Grin But we can get into all that later!

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 18:42

PS - I am getting a Stokke pram I didn't last time and really regretted it. I can't wait!!

Sorry to read your news loopy.....

I am 6 weeks today and time is just dragging to that all important 12 week. Have no sickness whatsoever but the worst bloated tummy and what feels like trapped wind for three days now (tmi!) Is anyone else suffering this? I'm actually looking like i'm three months gone.... Tried some Rennie as that seems to be ok during pregnancy, any other tips girls?!

ochaye · 10/03/2011 19:44

Oh I'm so so sorry loopy. I hope you're ok Sad.

Hils74 · 10/03/2011 19:46

lou I feel the same, bloated and windy, plus sore boobs, and thats it, don't really feel pg in the slightest, am 5+1 today.

Will be interested in tips!!

ochaye · 10/03/2011 19:48

Terrys - you lost me a bit ... so you are or aren't a Gina Ford devotee?

I am intrigued by the hoo ha around her. But have to say it completely failed for me when I had DD1 because we had feeding problems from the start and she spent most of her first 6 months crying. It was all very new to me so I wasn't able to work out what was going on. Now I've had DD2 though, I realise what happened (and it was nothing to do with her routine).

Anyway, what put me right off was the way her book made me feel like it was my fault that her routine didn't work out because I think the theory is that if you apply it properly, it can't fail. It was a horribly stressful time.

lktoday5 · 10/03/2011 19:54

Hey

So after lurking for 2 weeks while i fretted and stressed I think i should add me now and acknowledge this is real Grin

Stripeymummy - 30yrs, 1st baby,EDD 08/11/11

Congrats to all.

loup I'm the same, no sickness, but lots of wind and some bloating-nice! And Congratulations! :)

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 22:14

Evening all!

Welcome Ik! and congratulations.

ochaye I am a Gina Ford worshipper - she literally saved my sanity with DS as I had this new baby and had no idea what to do - I loved her "instruction manual" and for my personality (control freak Grin) a minute by minute plan was what I needed and DS thrived on routine. Having said that I didn't follow it rigidly - some naps in the sling/pram and as he got older I amended it for DS. It is NOT for everyone but for me it was a godsend and I honestly think I would have had PND without some form of "ideal" to cling to, I was at my wits end when I bought the book I said I never would!

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 22:16

cross post - welcome stripey!! Smile

PS, a bit graphic, but anyone else got nipples like bullets (as DH would say Grin)?? Had this with DS too so whilst uncomfortable, clinging desperately to any symptom!

rightontime · 11/03/2011 07:18

Morning all. I am not a Gina Ford fan. Although TBH I haven't read any of her stuff. I just prefer to go with my instincts and have never read any parenting books (tons of pregnancy ones though). I didn't know she had legal stuff going on with MN. Hmm

Hello stripey

I have nothing to buy except maybe a pair of curtains otherwise I have everything from last 2. If I have a girl I may have to splash out on girly clothes but we wont find out the sex until birth.

My mat clothes are with a friend I leant them to but I can't ask for them back as she said she will hold on to them until I am pg and I am not ready to tell her yet.

Had an exhausting day in Ikea yesterday. Napped on the sofa 5pm-6pm Made myself hoover mop and cook and then was in bed by 9pm. Blush hows everyone else feeling?

TerrysNo2 · 11/03/2011 07:34

Morning all

righton I am very Envy of your nap, I love naps!! I'm feeling quite tired too but not sure if that's pregnancy or DS's middle of the night parties!

Gosh, I had the most horrible dream last night, dreamt that my mum and dad died and I woke up actually sobbing with tears and everything Sad That's only happened once before - the night before my wedding when I dreamt DH had died. Its so weird to cry in your sleep and then even when I woke up the dream was so upsetting that it took me ages to calm down.

Has everyone seen the Babycentre website? At the top there is a bar with each of the weeks of pregnancy on it and each week it tells you about your body and the baby, its really lovely. Here is what a baby looks like at 6 weeks, which I am today!!

cep · 11/03/2011 07:35

Morning All, I think most of you are already on our nov stats 2011 thread. i've been trying to add as we go along, although i know i may have missed a couple. So you do you want to have a check to make sure you're on the main list.

i hope everyone's ok.

busyboysmum · 11/03/2011 08:25

Hiya - I am 41 and we are TTC number 3, seems a lot harder though this time as we have been trying on and off for a year with no luck.

busyboysmum · 11/03/2011 08:25

Sorry I didn't mean to say that at all - I have mumsnet saved in roboform and it must have saved that bit as well!!

busyboysmum · 11/03/2011 08:28

What I meant to say was I too have very vivid dreams when pregnant - they can be really terrifying nightmares, or lovely steamy dreams that you don't want to wake up from!!

I think that was my first symptom actually - last week before I did the test I was waking in the middle of the night convinced we had another child who I had forgotten all about and totally neglected! It gave me a really horrid feeling the following day as well - hard to shake off.

Hope you all have a lovely day - will check in later to see how everyone is.

Smile
freeangel · 11/03/2011 08:38

Morning ladies, hope you are all well! Sorry you had a rubbish dream Terrys2, ive had those dreams where i have woken up sobbing. They stay with you for a while!
Ive spent lots of time on babycentre, and bounty! Ive looked at the 4 week mark, 5 week mark and 6 weeks lots already! Im just excited i guess! My baby is the size of a pea!Grin

I have the doctors so i guess i better go shower and make it today!

Have a nice day ladies xx

DirgeInVegas · 11/03/2011 09:30

Morning everyone,

Good to see we've moved on to GF already! Grin

I tried her book with DD but she made me feel like a failure too ochaye. I remember getting up with DD, dressing her, washing her, putting her down for a nap X minutes after a feed and then expressing. I was feeding on demand and DD didn't sleep or feed to the timetable for babies at her number of weeks. It just made me miserable, like sobbing-on-the-sofa-miserable.

DH made me throw it away, we started co-sleeping and I felt a million times better. I can't believe I used to get out of bed because a book told me to. No wonder I was exhausted.

I can understand the desire for routine though, my dsis is a lover of routine but has created her own. I am more of a wing-it kind of person.

I probably won't buy much for this baby. A new sling, one of these and some clothes. I can't think of anything else. Maybe another chest of drawers like DD's so I have somewhere for clothes. Oh and a car seat....er...my list is growing isn't it!

Feeling sick still but not drastic. Sprite seems to cure me completely and I was reading last night that breastfeeding during pregnancy can reduce MS so I won't be weaning DD!

Have to go, DD drawing on radiator in red biro. Back later x

Morning Ladies

I am rubbish at this sort of thing so if i pop my stats here can someone make sure they are included please:
excitedLJ, 25 yrs, first baby, EDD 14/11/11

thanks Grin

I get the results of my bloods today at 3.30. Have been feeling positive and pregnant but hardly slept last night worrying about it! Fingers crossed for doubling!

I love all this talk of lists etc but i honesty think dh would faint if i did one - getting him used to this, even though we were trying, is baby steps!..... but i would love a sneaky peep at the list terrys!! Grin

xx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 11/03/2011 10:00

Well the time has come to say hello I think.

Today I took my third test in a row and got 3rd bfp.
I can't quite believe it as we've been trying for over 6 months
using temperature charting and I never though it would happen and
DD was a one-off.
I have zero symptoms, apart from being a bit dizzy and no appetite and hopefully have lots to share.

I'll come back later as on phone but can someone add me to the list please?

MrsArch 38 yrs, pg #2 (DD 2.5) EDD 16/11/11

Oh and I threw all my baby books like baby wisperer and gina ford when I realised DD hadn't read them. :)

freeangel · 11/03/2011 10:21

Welcome mrsarchancelloridcully

Well i made it to the doctors, yay it was nice to finally have my first appointment! Feels a bit more real now! He did tell me off for being underweight and telling too many people! Ooops

He thinks my tummy ache could be a urine infection so i have to drop a sample back in later! And my pains are my uterus stretching!

He did confirm im pregnant, but not sure if that was because i told him i was! He felt my tummy and said i was, and am all soft! How bizzare! Shock

I have my first mw appointment on the 31st march!
