Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Boy oh boy you?ve been chatty today! Love all the food chat ... although I haven?t had any cravings or ?gone offs? yet. Interestingly chip I went completely off broccoli when I was pregnant with DD1. I love green olives whether I?m pregnant or not! I used to think they tasted like TCP (not that I?ve tasted TCP), but somehow came round to them. I?m not sure how that happens either. Mmmmmmm Terrys, I love melted camembert!

I?m also very interested to hear about the saved hpts. I?ve been binning mine Shock! But I find it really hard to do. I?ve taken a few pics too 3rdTime Grin. Am a bit worried that somebody stumbles across them ... hey ho ...

I may live in the arctic (thanks Terrys!) but I would love to meet up some time. Only thing is, if it?s when we?re as far on as 8 months I won?t be able to fly Sad.

On the subject of scans, I discovered tonight that there?s a clinic in Perth (more than an hours drive away unfortunately) that do an early scan for only £25! If they were in Aberdeen I think I?d be going for it. Unfortunately the clinic here charges £90 so I think I?ll wait. I?m a bit scared to have a scan if I?m honest.

I?m so sorry you didn?t get better news Really but glad you?re relieved to know what?s going on. I hope the rest of your week goes as well as it can.

Welcome littlewhitewolf - lovely to meet you! So sorry to hear about your mc. As the others have said, there are a few of us here who also mc?d in December so lots of sympathy on here. Hi to suziechan too!

Well, after this morning?s chat, I went ahead and booked a MW appointment (we don?t need to see the doc here anymore although we used to). I decided to leave the appointment until after my 7th week as my mc?s have been at 6/7 weeks. So 1st April it is. Fortunately it?s in the afternoon so the ?fools? part of the day will have passed.

freeangel · 09/03/2011 20:51

Welcome suziechan Completely going off the subject knockedupagain did you have a nice birthday? You said you have rats, i do! Im guessing its ok to clean them out etc?! I always wash my hands after handling them anyway. :)

loopybear · 09/03/2011 21:01

Oh a very busy day here today, I was tempted to look in at work but had to much to do. I love this thread it makes me smile that we are all going through similar things. On the food subject i have gone off chocolate (crazy I usually have to have lots willpower not to eat it everyday) and am wanting to eat lots oranges!!! Nearly threw up filling the car up with petrol though this morning. Just wishing the 18th would hurry and arrive, so as DH put it "We can see if the bun made it to the oven this time!!", which is better than his worrying that it will all go wrong again and I'll not make it to the hospital in time this time. (Ruptured in the operating theatre with ectopic in October). Strangely tomorrow would have been my EDD for my miscarriage in July, I feel a little strange that I don't feel sad about it, may feel different tomorrow. ANyway lovely ladies. I hope everyone has a good evening and day tomorrow.

bumpsnowjustplump · 09/03/2011 21:31

Evening all....

I am very Envy of your sickness and cravings.. I still have noghing. Have also been getting really bad pains today but no blood and they seem to have eased a bit now...

I have my booking in appointment next friday and both other times this has included an early scan (they dont do the 12 week scan) so am hoping that is still the case and they find a hb then I think i will relax a little..

So sorry useful what awful news.. sending you and your family lots of love.

I have finally started work on my diploma tonight, I am worried I may have bitten off more than I can chew now though as I will have to try and squeeze it all in little over 7 months.

welcome all the new girls...

Piplysmelie · 09/03/2011 21:44

Hi all

Wow I missed a couple of days and the thread exploded!

Hum my sickness seems to have settle a bit, not sure it that is good or bad news. I succumbed to temptation and booked a private scan for Saturday. I think I will be 6+2 then so not sure if that is too early.

Food I like any carbs especially crisps (are they carbs!) I seem to have a savory tooth which is odd as I had a very sweet tooth when pregnant with my DD's. In fact I don't really like chocolate ... I know I know I'm just odd that way but when i was pregnant with my DD's I absolutely loved it. I use to hum when eating minstrels!!!

Welcome to the new members.

goldmaple · 09/03/2011 22:56

Wow! It just took me 30 mins to catch up on everything!:)

Welcome LWW, suzie and other new Nov mums-to-be!

Really Fingers crossed for you!

I really have no symptoms except being tired and sore boobs... and now I'm worried because my boobs aren't even very sore?! (I am obviously going crazyGrin)

When did you all start getting symptoms? I am 4+5 today.

lol... about all the food talk. I have the 'What to expect book' and was trying to eat really healthy until this morning when I ate McDonaldsBlush

chipmonkey · 09/03/2011 23:21

I got symptoms on and off since just before my BFP, goldmaple but tbh, I never know if I am just looking out for symptoms and finding them accordingly! The morning sickness has kicked in big time in the last four days and is getting worse. But that's typical for me. I don't do pregnancy well despite doing it often!

goldmaple · 10/03/2011 04:47

chip I do the same thing! Sometimes I think I feel sick but I'm not sure if its in my head. I know the minute that I'm sick for sure I'll be wondering why I wanted a sign.

Told all the parents and grandparents tonight:) Felt great everyone was really happy/supportive.

cep · 10/03/2011 07:21

morning all,

feeling really sick this morning keep retching, i daren't have anything to eat, am currently drinking blak tea. i don't know if i should try and get to work or not.

welcome suzie congratulations

maple i only started feeling sick tuesday at 5+3

gold glad telling the family went well.

rightontime · 10/03/2011 07:46

Thanks 3rd and Tallulah I was feeling a little nervous about joining back in. I have been lurking though and keeping up with all the news good and bad.

Nearly threw up last night and feeling sick this morning. Typical after saying yesterday that I didn't have any symptoms. I hope I can get over it early this morning because I am going to Ikea with my SIL today.

I am not normally fussy on what I eat when PG. I don't like nuts anyway so that isn't a worry but I still have runny eggs etc. Will refuse next doors chicken eggs though just in case. I can't sue them if they make me ill. LOL

I have a Dr's appt next thursday for routine check in and to book 12 week scan but nothing other than that.

rightontime · 10/03/2011 07:55

Sorry I didn't realise there was another 2-3 pages after the one I was looking at Blush I will catch up later after my Ikea trip. Sorry.

loopybear · 10/03/2011 08:34

Today would have been my EDD from my miscarriage in July and I've started to bleed, which feels doubly cruel. Have spoken to the lovely staff at the EPU who have booked me in for a scan later this morning. I just know this is how the ectopic and miscarriage started. DH was right even though I was cross i shouldn't have allowed myself to get so excited in case we didn't make it again.

freeangel · 10/03/2011 09:19

Morning ladies, how are we today? Awww loopybear sorry to hear that, that is cruel. Good luck for your scan later. xx

excitedLJ · 10/03/2011 09:59

Morning ladies.

loopy FWIW i think its important to get excited, even if it may go wrong. This is my 1st pregancy and i had a bit of a bleed on tues at only 4+1. I'm tryinng to stay positive but DH is seriusly dragging me down by refusing to be excited until we know for sure. I'll be lurking to see how the scan goes and thinking of you x

i had my second blood test today and back to the docs tomoro to see if it has dubled, please keep evrything xd for me.

gold and bumps i have very minimal symptoms too but i guess thats ok at 4 + 3 (need a hopeful smiley here)

xx

chipmonkey · 10/03/2011 10:11

loopy, how could you not get excited? I have had two bleeds, I'm an old bird and have had 4 CS's so really should be keeping a lid on it but I can't stop myself. It's natural

FXed for you that it's just a minor bleed for no reason.

chipmonkey · 10/03/2011 10:13

excited, I would think a bleed at 4+1 is probably just your period not being properly suppressed.

No symptoms at your stage is perfectly normal.

excitedLJ · 10/03/2011 10:18

chip i think you're prob right (certainly hope so)and the doc wasn't v concerned at all but i will still be using it as ammunition for early scan!

My pregnancy bible i ordered off amazon yesterday has just arrived - sooo excited!!!

xx

TerrysNo2 · 10/03/2011 10:48

loopy I hope everything is ok. Keeping my FX for you and waiting for your news. xxx

stripeymummy · 10/03/2011 11:07

Hooray, at long last found the November thread!! :o I'm 5+3 and scared and excited. Have my booking appointment next week, and don't know what to expect about anything-its my first. Eek!! :)

cep · 10/03/2011 11:33

loopy sorry you've had a bleed as others have said hopefully it's nothing. edd's are a horrid day to pass anyway. fx for your scan and hope you're getting lots of tlc from dh. Will be watching for your post later.

stripey welcome and congratulations.

i went to work and just came home feeling bleurgh, big boss was really nice this morning and advised the ginger biscuit route so i bought some on way home to see if helps tomorrow morning.

hope everyone else is ok.

cep · 10/03/2011 11:41

ok this is cool (or at least i think so) just nicked it off another thread, www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/you/the-exhibit/your-beginning/make-room-for-baby/interactive/ hope it works

chipmonkey · 10/03/2011 11:51

Welcome stripey!Smile

Piplysmelie · 10/03/2011 12:39

Cep I loved the link it is amazinging to see pregnancy like that.

Welcome Stripy.

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 10/03/2011 12:45

morning all! loopy sorry to hear that, but that doesnt always mean its over! it could just be bleeding for the sake of bleeding, i know a few people who have actually bled all the way thru there succesful pg! if its any help my dh is acting the same telling me not to get excited but i think you just have to enjoy being pregnant while you are, however long it might be xx fingers crosses for you xx

cep you have just reminded me! the ginger buscuit is a good rout, but i remember from mc#1 i found amazing cure 4 ms! asda do a ginger and lemon cordial! i found it gets rid of it really really quickly! think il have to make a trip to shop tonight!xx
