Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Oh I'd love afternoon tea in London - I was 4 months pg the last time I was there actually. Hmmm...cake... How's your cupcake Terrys?

I binned the tests from 2008 when we moved house but they still had lines (Tesco & Boots own I think).

The CBDs hardly last at all do they? I only noticed that this time round when I popped back to have a look at the 3+ again and discovered it gone. V disappointing for the price!

yeah, i keep standin up in super slow motin! the effort and time it takes to get up to the computer :) and yes i too love love terrys advice aswell Grin but dont think dh would appreciate coming home from work to dirty house!

i have my pg tests on my dresser table! i love looking at them but are starting to fade... so i have taken pictures of them! x

cep · 09/03/2011 14:10

would be good to all meet up at that stage.

ah the non dig ones last a while obviously. dirge i'm always disappointed you can't test after the 3+ gives another meaning to the "the only test to tell you how pregnant you are" yeah as long as you're not more than 5 weeks.

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:15

i have kept my four tests and look at them every morning! had a bit of a panic at work this morning after a few days of bad pain so managed to get a scan.
i am 5 weeks and 5 days and 'baby' is in the right place, ie. not ectopic. too early for a heartbeat to be detected but have another scan booked for 12 days time.
feel reassured and luckily after tomorrow i am on holiday for 10 days so can rest.
I have gone off chocolate completly, havn't had any for over a week, unheard of for me! I also now love green olives which i have always hated! very weird!

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 14:22

Yay tallulah thats fab news. My scan yesterday gives me a revised EDD of 1/11/11 - how good is that! Obviously it won't happen but it would be a good DOB to have.

Cep you're right, it's actually quite a small window to use a CBD to show anything other than 3+ really.

I too took pictures of my lines and digis.

It would be lovely to meet up, this is my first antenatal group actually. Well, I was on the July-11 one but that was my mmc and it was a huge thread, loads of bfps so it was too big to get comfy in really.

Chocolate contains caffeine tallulah so that might be why you're off it. I have tried to avoid caffeine altogether this time for the miscarriage risk. No sure about the olives, they taste like meat to me.

Reallyusefulengine · 09/03/2011 14:26

Hello all. Not the best of news I'm afraid. It's officially a PUL (pregnancy of unknown location). The doctor still can't see anything, absolutely nothing in the uterus and at present nothing is showing on the tubes etc so. I'm booked in tomorrow for a laparoscopy to see if they can find it on the fallopian tubes or thereabouts. They aren't going to fiddle about with the uterus at all (just in case) but they are pretty sure it's another ectopic. They are certain that something should be showing in the uterus by now and I'd rather have early treatment.

Am really sad but feel relieved that it should be sorted out soon enough. Have now got a mad panic trying to arrange the rest of the week and childcare etc. Am feeling really morning sick which seems bloody unfair but am too nervy to eat now. Bah.

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:27

They taste like meat to me too Dirge! my dh thought i was mad when i said that. mind you he thinks its really funny i have gone off chocolate.
i suppose it could be the caffine, i dont drink tea or coffee or fizzy drinks so perhaps i am sensitive to it.

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:30

so sorry really thats awful for you. hope it gets resolved soon.

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:31

Dirge you mensioned the caffine thing, iv switched tea to decaf tea, but it says that there is still caffine in decaf! just dont know who or what to trust now! iv already had to give up my beloved peanut butter Shock (which come to tink about it knocks me abit sick now so, not a huge loss i suppose!)

im dreading the scan tho, i just remember from my first scan at 11 weeks of first mc...the horrible silence and the look on the sonographers face, still send chills down my body x :(

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:34

omg reallyuseful so sorry, your comment came up after posting mine! really insensitive!! im so so sorry for you xxx sending big ((((hugs)))) and lots of support! xx

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:34

3rdTime i am now looking forward to my next scan on the 21st but know i will still worry until the 12 week scan.

cep · 09/03/2011 14:36

really i'm so sorry to hear that. i really hope it is sorted quickly for you. if it definately has gone all wrong and you need to chat here's a link to another thread i'm on, the same one i directed missinvincible to. I hope you're ok and have lots of support in rl.

tallulah if you don't like them how do you suddenly try 1? i think i'd automatically not try it.

cep · 09/03/2011 14:39

3rd why have you given up peanut butter?? at my 11 wk scan whe said really quiety it's bad news i'm afraid. dh didn't hear her only realised what had happened when i burst into tears.

dirge i was on the due in june thread until mc, that was the only one i've been on.

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:41

tallula good luck with your scan! how many weeks will you be on the 21st scan may i ask? im being a bit useless really in organiseing anything, a bit reluctant really, iv been one doctors appointment, just to ask about asprin stopping miscarriage, have not been since, havnt sorte a midwife, havnt had any bloods done. i think im just waiting to see if i get to 12 weeks without pain/bleeding, then il start organiseing all that stuff Hmmxx

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:42

cep my dh made me smell one to see how much my taste had changed and i just gobbled it up! we were both surprised!

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:45

cep gave up peanut butter because i was told that if you eat peanuts whilst pregnant, the baby can be born with a fatal peanut allergy

im so sorry, i know how awful it is. im glad that ur dh was there with you tho, mine practically got me through the whole experiance xx

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:46

3rdTime 7 plus 3 i think. they said there should defiantly be a heart beat by then, if not then its time to start worrying. i am trying not to think about it too much. if everything is ok then they will organise bloods and midwife app.

rightontime · 09/03/2011 14:51

Really I am sorry to hear that. Does seem really unfair for you. Have they done any more blood tests to get you HCG levels?

I am sorry I haven't been around guys. I feel a bit guilty. I have been trying to avoid everyones bad news because I find it make me worry more so completely selfish. I am so sorry for my lack of support everyone. Sad

Welcome to everyone who has joined since my last post. And Dirge pleased to hear about the HB.

Hope everyone else is hanging on in there. Smile

I am having a very uneventful time. Have gone of sugar completely so no sugar on cereal, no chocolate, tea, biscuits, flapjacks... Have also gone off dairy so no cheese, milk, etc. That is pretty well anything that I lived on before I was pregnant so my diet has completely changed. On the plus side I have lost 3 lb in a week.

No sicky feelings now and other than the above I don't feel prgnant at all.

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:51

oh thats good! iv never gotten past 11 weeks so dont really know what happens from there! iv read lots of stuff about what happens to your body, baby ect but not to much about who you see and when bit xx

TerrysNo2 · 09/03/2011 14:54

reallyuseful I am so Sad for you, I hope that things are resolved quickly as you want them to be and that most importantly, your tubes are ok. xxx

3rdtime peanut allergy is only really a risk if someone in your family already has it, thus I scoff peanut butter on a daily basis! I guess everyone has to decide their own risks. My burger was pink today Blush I was out for lunch with a collegue and didn't want to ask for it well done as he would have noticed. A friend obstetrician once said that all foods are fine (raw fish, raw meat etc) as long as they are well sourced. So as long as I am eating somewhere nice I do not worry too much.

cep · 09/03/2011 14:55

tallulah i think pg changes your sense of smell as well doesn't it? glad you found something you liked rather than put off though. Grin

3rd Out of interest who told you that?? i think the latest advice is if your family has a history or peanut allergy, asthma, excema etc then to avoid. But since they stopped pg women eating peanuts the cases for allergies have actually risen, and the countries that have nuts as part of their natural diet have really low allergy figures. dh is asthmatic and i had peanuts throughout pg, not loads but certainly some occasionally, ds has very little amount of excema which only comes out when he's ill and rundown.

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 14:56

hi right nice to (sort of) meet you :)
i dont think anybody thinks your selfish! it doesnt make sense to put yourself thru more worry than what uv got already! xx i was just saying that pretty much all food wants to make me spew! i never knew pregnancy was such a good diet lol :o xx

tallulahpolly · 09/03/2011 14:57

Hope this really is 3rd time lucky for you then.
its ok rightontime, everyone has to do the things that keep them calm. although it is good to be able to share worries with those that understand completly.

cep · 09/03/2011 14:57

terrys when i was pg before the lastest is you can have rare - medium steak as long as the outside has been sealed properly, i had medium rare steak the other weekend and it was lush.
