Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Morning all! Well bleeding has stopped. I googled fetal heartbeat and apparently it shows up between 6.5 and 7.5 weeks. So maybe I am expecting baby to be too advanced for his age!

Didn't get any answers about why I'm bleeding but sometimes there just are no answers, are there?

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 10:38

chip I asked about my bleeding and they had no answers. I have googled and it seems there are lots of potential reasons but how do you know if any of them are the reason for your bleed? It's like torture really.

My sonographer did say that mine was the tiniest baby she had ever picked up a hb on (6 weeks) and she was quite surprised (and had to squint) so I wouldn't be too down about not seeing that yet.

Welcome to the new joiners - 3rdtime, excited and loopy. My ms only really kicked in a few days ago, probably Monday really. Today its just dreadful. I just want to go back to bed but if I start doing that at 6 weeks how will I keep my job?
I was like this until 17 weeks with DD.

I have eaten a terrible breakfast with absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever, balanced with a sanatogen "Mum to Be and Omega £" (catchy).

I am in Cheshire, no snow here but it is really cold.

Reallyuseful You should be in your scan now so I am thinking of you and shall keep looking out for your post. I so, so hope you have some exciting news for us.

Cep have you thought anymore about mentioning your bleeding and going for a scan? Like Ochaye says, it would be no bad thing to do it for the reassurance and it's not a lie, you have had bleeding. I think that mental health in pregnancy is as important as physical health so a scan for reassurance is not a bad thing.

cep · 09/03/2011 10:39

chip am so glad the bleeding has stopped. be careful on dr google cause information can be so conflicting it'll worry you more. i read a website that was saying how common it is, and gave a few reasons as to why it could be. You'll never definately know.

free i'm down near Fareham in hants.

terry's i just can't afford the prices. If i hadn't had the mmc last time i wouldn't worry about having an early scan and would just wait. if i hadn't have bled i would have just asked for a scan due to mmc, but as i have i'll tell them that.

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 10:40

ps like terrys sonographer, mine also said yesterday that it was likely that they wouldn't see a hb and this might cause me more worry so it was up to me if I wanted to go ahead with the vaginal scan. She advised not to if I thought seeing nothing would cause me to worry more. I think she said 6 weeks was really the cusp of seeing anything and it was more common not to see anything at this stage.

dirge morning hon, ooh what did you have for breakfast. i had branflakes really healthy.....then brought them up. Sad. for some reason even though i know i probably wouldn't be able to keep it down i fancy a burger??? i will be doing cause i am really worried about it, reminds me to much of my last pg.

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 11:03

I think you're right to ask for an early scan. The waiting and not knowing is horrible. A junior doc was saying to me yesterday that I shouldn't compare pregnancies or mcs because my body is physiologically different now to before I had DD. I was quite curious about that. I wanted to say "In what way? Other than the lack of tone around my belly/boobs". Is that physiologically different? I'd have thought generally the endocrine system and your uterus behaved the same way but I wasn't in the mood for debate and given that she's medically qualified and I'm not I decided she probably knew more than me Grin.

I had 4 potato waffles (fried) and an egg. I feel sick just thinking about it now but first thing this morning I needed it Blush. I am impressed that you went for the branflakes. I did consider porridge but....

I saw go for the burger. I fully intend to eat junk all day. Oddly enough I can't face fruit but the idea of vegetables appeals but only if they're mashed. Weird.

I can't drink tea now either, I think its the caffeine that tastes awful because I am the same with fizzy drinks containing caffeine. Sprite is fine though. Water doesn't taste nice either, does anyone else find the same?

I sound like the most unhealthy person in the world don't I?

*I say go for the burger. God my posts are always full of typos, transpositions, grammatical errors. I'd double my post count if I keep correcting myself.

Dirge make the most of it, we're (hopefully!) going to get fat anyway!! Grin

cep I am so with you on the burgers, thats what I am craving already, never usually have them but had 2 in one week now - lovely homemade ones on Monday night. With DS I craved burgers, crisps in the 1st trimester, salad and fruit. I totally went off most meat. Now I don't want any fish. So far my PG is very similar to DS - no big symptoms and wanting the same foods, maybe another boy!

chipmonkey · 09/03/2011 11:28

at burgers! Just don't eat the things in front of me!
Had one slice of toast with honey and that was because I tend to puke on an empty stomach.

2 nights ago, I just got this vision of freshly squeezed orange juice in my head at 11pm. Dh was trying to think where he would get oranges for me but luckily I didn't insist that he go out!Grin

Eventually dh suggested it must just be Vit C I needed and made me take a supplement.

My most bizarre craving on ds4 was raw broccoli. Something I had never had before and have never had since!

cep · 09/03/2011 11:44

chip ahh bless dh for wanting to get some for you. i'd be told where to go. Grin raw brocolli???

think i may have some boiled eggs and toast for lunch.

TerrysNo2 · 09/03/2011 11:47

I'm going out for a burger!!! Grin Mmm, gherkins, ketchup - drool

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 12:04

hahaha!! Sshh don't let chip see it! Close the thread before you eat it Grin.

I have decided that I would like soup but we have none so I am going to make some.

p.s Chip I prefer raw broccoli to cooked and eat it in salad instead of lettuce (hate lettuce!).

I lived on soup when pg with DD. We were on an all inclusive holiday when I was about 10 weeks and I had soup at least twice a day. They made evry flavour under the sun so I was in ms heaven (if thats not an oxymoron).

Enjoy your lunch everyone!

chipmonkey · 09/03/2011 12:56

I ended up having a cheese sandwich.Hmm If anyone had mentioned cheese to me this morning, I would have run straight to the loo. There is no logic to this.

Yay, cep! Am a bit worried as I know I have left a spare CB digital lying around somewhere in the house and can't remember where!Blush Expecting to see ds4 walking around waving it about any minute!

deemented · 09/03/2011 13:08

Oh dirge, i'm with you on the lemonade thing - I can't get enough of it at the moment - it's the only thing that i can keep down. The nausea and constant sickness is grim - the only time i've een this rough this early on was with the triplets. Eeek. P'raps i should ask for an early scan after all...

Was fun this morning. Had to take manshapes mother shopping. So walking round an indoor market with the smell of things frying wafting about, trying not to turn green or puke in front of her was great fun. She even insisted we went for breakfast. I told her i'd have some toast, but when it came it was dripping in butter. I made manshape eat it. We've decided to wait as long as we can before telling her. Ideally manshape would ring her with a birth announcement... Grin

busyboysmum · 09/03/2011 13:13

Laughing at all these food cravings - I've got this book called What to Expect When You're Expecting and it is so preachy telling you every mouthful you take should be full of nutrition for the baby! Hah! I got through an entire massive bag of crisps last night, once I'd started I couldn't stop.

Dirge whereabouts in Cheshire are you? We are in Sale which sometimes calls itself Cheshire and sometimes Greater Manchester and sometimes Trafford - I get really confused where I am sometimes!

I have got hooked on smoothies at the mo - my breakfast was a banana, an apple, a handful of blueberries, a plum and an orange and half a pint of skimmed milk with ice - gorgeous! Giving me full license to eat as unhealthily as I want for the rest of the day having had my 5 a day already Wink

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 13:27

oooh can i please have a bit of sympathy (and a few remedies if poss) im having horrific dizziness EVERYTIME i bloody stand up and my insides all feel hotr and burney! i feel very sorry for myself but hay ho im sure we all do atsome point! iv even gone off food! makes me wanna vomit just the thought of eating anything! Angry

3rdTimeLucky2000 · 09/03/2011 13:28

i sound like a horrible person! ME ME ME ME ME! How is everyone elsefeeling i might add x :o

DirgeInVegas · 09/03/2011 13:33

chip my DD is always finding hpts (I like to keep the positives Blush) and waves them saying "mummy wee wee stick baby".

Oooh...cheese...I made french onion soup for lunch. It was a bit of a faff but so worth it! Feeling sick again now.

deemented we see the inlaws so infrequently I reckon I could get to at least 6 months without having to tell them about dc2. Perhaps even a birth announcement if it wasn't for MILs birthday in October (60th).

busy your smoothie sounds lovely. I am wondering now if it's excessive to go out and buy fruit, milk and a blender....I didn't know you could blend an orange with milk. I thought it would curdle.

Oooh Trafford, so you're in the catchment for the good schools then? We considered moving to Knutsford/Mobberly to be in the catchment for Alty Girls but decided we couldn't risk it. My friends tell me Knutsford High isn't great so its a bit of a gamble. I'm not too far from Lymm if you know Lymm?

Are you standing up too quickly 3rd? I have some dizziness too. I haven't found a cure except getting up slowly.

OP posts:
TerrysNo2 · 09/03/2011 13:34

I feel sick - humungous burger and chips and now a beautiful cupcake is staring at me saying eat me eat me Grin Not MS related at all!! Grin

3rdtime sympathy a plenty for you!! If you get dizzy when you stand up, can I recommend not standing! Grin How did you like my useful advice?

deemented is "manshape" your DH?? Love the nickname!

cep Yay for 3+!! Smile

cep · 09/03/2011 13:46

3rd you need to keep hydrated and something in you, can you keep sipping water? nibble on plain biscuits or plain toast? and as dirge said getup slowly (although i do like Terry's advise as well Grin ).

Am i the only one down hants way??? again!!!

ds walked in as i was peeing into the pot "weewee" hasn't quite run off with the sticks though. Dirge how long do you keep them for? it only shows for a few days.

TerrysNo2 · 09/03/2011 13:58

I also keep my PG tests - very disappointing when they fade!! I am sure our cleaner knows our secret!

cep Surrey isn't so far from you! We had a lovely meet up with my Nov 2008 AN thread when we were 8 months PG for afternoon tea in London.

deemented · 09/03/2011 13:59
