Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

oh lovely knocked I will check when I go to bed tonight she is good at letting me look but hadn't even thought of checking her bottom as she says her mini moo hurts... will check her bum tonight!! thank you

rightontime · 03/03/2011 12:53

Hope you get it sorted bumps doesn't sound very pleasant. I think a trip to the docs is defo in order if it doesn't get better soon.

Reallyusefulengine · 03/03/2011 14:00

bumps, we had a wormy household a few weeks ago and it was driving my 1 year old dd mad at night but at first I thought it was teething. Nope, it was worms. Right around ovulation time, which as you can imagine really put DH and me in the mood.

Chip Am thinking of you, a big shame you have to be at work so late today.

Cep and Dirge Thank you for being such superstars.

I have just had the 1st hcg blood test results back - 450hcg which the gynaecologist said is 'good news' and suggests a 4 week pregnancy (should be more I think but I did ovulate a bit late). She said to come back in 2 weeks or 1 week if I preferred for a scan. Which doesn't sound like she thinks I'm at terrible risk of an ectopic. Do you think this all sounds positive? Am now panicking and looking at hcg levels online and am doubting those too. Am clearly so happy that right this moment in time I am actually definately pregnant.

rightontime · 03/03/2011 14:27

Reallyuseful I'm sure I read that between 4-5weeks levels can be between 25 and 500. i may be waaay off on that though.

I'm sure that if she doesn't want to see you for 2 weeks she can't be too worried. Glad it was all positive. x

Still thinking of you here too chip. Hope the spotting clears up and you can enjoy the rest of your pg.

cep · 03/03/2011 16:01

chip i hope the spotting has stopped hon.

reallyuseful is that 4 weeks from lmp? in which case it sounds high which is good. the fact that she's saying to come back in 2 weeks is really good otherwise it'd be alot sooner, so yay.

is anyone else finding this page keeps coming up funny? i find i have to keep refreshing and going on and off the thread to get the page up properly.

knockedout · 03/03/2011 16:21

Hello and congratulations! ochaye, Loup23 and tallulahpolly. :)

Aw pookypup, your DH is cute. Mine just told me off for testing early, then has proceeded to ask me every day if I'm still pregnant. I can tell he's excited though. It's a like a small child asking 'are we there yet?!'

rightontime I'm planning to wait till 6 weeks (if I manage to hold out that long) before telling my GP too. I think (hope) that should be OK. Good luck with your mum! Hope she takes the news well.

I'm so sorry chipmonkey. :( I really hope it's all OK. Fingers crossed for you.

No idea what's going on bumps. Hopefully your GP can help if it's really worrying?

Yay reallyuseful! That sounds very positive! Must be good to be able to enjoy being pregnant and not just owrrying about it. :)

And no problems with the page for me cep.

cep · 03/03/2011 16:59

sorry very rude of me i meant to say hello tallulahpolly and congratulations.

oh i hope it isn't a sign of the laptop giving up the ghost then.

chipmonkey · 03/03/2011 18:17

Aw, thanks for all your messages.Smile
Well, spotting stopped but have weird period-y feeling. Went out to buy a Clearblue digital but fecking well bought just ordinary Clearblue by mistake which has confirmed that I am pregnantHmm but I really wanted to see if the HCG had gone up to 3 weeks which is where it should be. I did have a lot of brown spotting with ds3 but never, ever red. Have looked up ectopics and it doesn't seem to match that, at least not yet.

Dh has said we're not quitters and will try again if it's bad news but I am not sure I am up to that myself. Have been very busy in work which is partially good as I don't have as much time to think but has meant I didn't get to call the EPU. Am assuming they wouldn't see much at 5 weeks anyway?

MissInvincible · 03/03/2011 18:22

Hi Chipmonkey, my EPU won't see me til Tuesday (6 weeks). During my last pregnancy I had a bleed at 5 weeks and had to wait a week and a half to be seen.
Glad your spotting has stopped, I really hope everything is ok!

whereareyougoingmylittleone · 03/03/2011 20:36

Hello lovely ladies, may I join? I am 35, it's my first (and first ever BFP) and EDD is 11/11/11 :) I am just so shocked to get a BFP, I've been testing every day for a week now and still can't believe it. Still not told my husband... Don't want to get his hopes up as AF still not due til tomorrow.
Congrats to everyone though--really hope I get to stay on this thread!

MissInvincible · 03/03/2011 20:42

Congratulations whereareyou and welcome to the thread :)

pookypup · 03/03/2011 20:58

Welcome where congratulations :) I'm having my first too, it's very exciting and hard to believe at first x

Pooky

pookypup · 03/03/2011 20:58

Great due date too!

whereareyougoingmylittleone · 03/03/2011 21:48

Thanks for welcome Pooky and MissInvincible! Pooky, I love how you told your husband. I am terrified to tell anyone - when I saw Dr this morning she kept referring to 'my baby' and the whole concept just seemed so weird, yet we have been wanting and planning for this for ages?! Husband will be thrilled, but want to wait til Sunday to tell him x

rightontime · 03/03/2011 22:14

Mum took it surprisingly well which is good. DP was a bit defensive and expecting her not to take it well. Although I didn't get to tell her how I would like. She said 'you know another baby will upset the applecart with the other 2' and I 'well its to late to worry about that now'

I had wanted to make a Brew and tell her properly. Hmm

welcome and congrats whereareyou

bumpsnowjustplump · 03/03/2011 22:17

rightontime glad your mum took it well how old are your other two?

Welcome whereareyou you are very good not telling dh, very controlled.

rightontime · 04/03/2011 07:05

bumpsnow DS1 is 5 in July and DS2 is 2 next week so a pretty good gap I think.

lucyintheskywithdinos · 04/03/2011 07:29

rightontime really odd, my DD1 is 5 in July and DD2 is 2 next week!

I almost believe it now, not enough to tell anyone yet though!

Welcome to the new people, how is everyone feeling? Has anyone been sick yet!?

pookypup · 04/03/2011 07:45

where I had planned to wait a few days at first ( he wa away during the initial BFP) but am glad I didn't. Its lovely to share and feels so much more real now. It's nice to see him so happy and excited. Also, I emailed him an NHS page about becoming a new dad. Suddenly he's being much more helpful around the house Grin

DirgeInVegas · 04/03/2011 08:19

Morning everyone, I had a bit of spotting last night. It was brown in with normal cm but that and my lack of symptoms (other that excruciating nipples) makes me think this isn't going to be it for me. I am panicked to the verge of tears. I know I'm being dramatic, I can't stay rational. I think I'm going to call my GP but as I am 5+1 I don't think they'll do much.

Sorry for the miserable post. DH just keeps saying stay positive but I feel like he's not getting my worry.

OP posts:
freeangel · 04/03/2011 08:36

Morning Dirge, how you feeling now! Men dont feel the same worries that we do over this! Have you rung the doctor yet? I know its easy for me to say but it could be nothing, dont worry to much as people do have spotting etc and still have healthy pregnancies! I am bad, i rang the nhs direct after having tummy ache! Ha ha xx

Popolly · 04/03/2011 09:40

Good morning all! May I join too?! Just got my first ever BFP about an hour ago, so I'm a complete newbie at all this. I'm 25, and my EDD is 7/11/11.

Haven't even told DP yet, although I know he will be thrilled. We weren't 'planning' a baby, so its an unexpected suprise to say the least! I've been on the pill for 7 years, and didn't take it this month because I was ill and missed the first week of pills, so we decided to use condoms. Had unprotected sex ONCE thinking 'what are the chances anyway?'. That'll teach us!

What are my 'first steps' so to speak - do I ring my GP?

freeangel · 04/03/2011 09:52

Morning Popolly, congratulations! I got my first bfp last friday too! You only need to have sex once, you should know that! Grin that did it for us too but we were trying! Did take a bit longer than one month tho!

Yes you can ring the doctors, thats about all i know as i have my doctors appointment on wed, i have just changed doctors so i need to see him first anyway. when im there i will make a midwife appointment for 8 weeks. But theres lots of lovely ladies on here who can tell you lots more info!

bumpsnowjustplump · 04/03/2011 10:02

dirge so sorry you are going through this. Try not to worry it is very early days yet and spotting can be normal, implantation etc.

We are here if you need us

xx

Popolly · 04/03/2011 10:17

Dirge - I didn't read the thread and just jumped in and posted, I am so sorry for my insensitivity. I am thinking of you.x
