Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

Bit late to the party, but you're an amazing person knockedupagain. And haters gonna hate, but you sound like you know what is right for you. :) Also, our names are too similar, I might have to change mine!

reallyuseful I'm so sorry to hear about the scan, and will keep my fingers crossed that the next one gives a more hopeful result. Agree with everyone else that it sounds probably too early to show anything useful on a scan anyway, so FX.

Hi and congratulations! freeangel and jaffababy and anyone else who's joined.

I'm really tempted to go buy a cb digital now. Especially since I keep needing reassurance that all is going well. I might find myself in Boots tomorrow...

As for symptoms bumps, I've got some achy/crampy pains, but am mostly feeling really tired, and occasionally coming over all faint, like a Jane Austen heroine. I might need a bottle of smelling salts to get me through. :)

pooky have you told your DH yet? How'd he react?

ochaye · 02/03/2011 21:58

Well this looks like a lovely place. Mind if I join you? I'm Terrys friend and am very excited because I got two lines today despite not following the fmu etc rules. I have a couple more tests in the cupboard so I don't think the testing's over for me!

I have two girls already but have had a couple of miscarriages over the years so am a bit cautious and will soon start worrying and wondering. But will enjoy the moment tonight Grin.

Anyway, lovely to meet you all!

MissInvincible · 02/03/2011 22:18

Hello ochaye - welcome to the thread!

I started wearing a maternity bra today, I am excessively sore and I have gone up 2 cup sizes already! DP thinks my 'boob job' is amazing, hehe! I have also stocked up on polos as I was feeling queasy at work today - I had to tell my boss as I need time off for my scan on Tuesday, she is the first and only person we have told so far. I am thinking that stretchy pants are not too far off as I feel very bloated, I had a definite bump at 9-10 weeks last time and I go really big really quickly. I won't be able to keep the secret for much longer!

cep · 02/03/2011 22:23

hey ochaye congratulations. i recognise your name from the ttc after mc thread. so pleased for you.

pookypup · 02/03/2011 22:36

Dp's reaction- "you're joking?" no. Thinks. "you are joking" no darling. "yes, but you are joking". No, I'm really not.... Ooooh followed by big grin "that's great!" Grin

... "You said it would take longer though!"

( it was our second cycle)

:)

Loup23 · 02/03/2011 22:37

Hi all, thanks for the invitation cep. I finally got my BFP on 28/02 and EDD for baby #1 is 08/11 I think - off to the doctors on Friday but will only be just over 5 weeks so really early days - am so excited but nervous....

I have done another FR test which got darker, and have one digital clear blue in the draw which I want to use next week. Aside from big boobs I don't feel pregnant at all... I'm guessing it's just too early!

Look forward to sharing the next eight months with you girls. Good luck to all x

cep · 02/03/2011 22:46

you're welcome loup glad to see you here, congratulations again. Grin

pookypup · 02/03/2011 22:46

bumps that would be cool. Seems so far ahead but I bet the time will fly by.

I don't really have many symptoms either apart from previously mentioned a few twinges, bloating and wind!

TerrysNo2 · 02/03/2011 23:07

loved your DH's reaction pooky!! Grin

Welcome loup and ochaye Grin

chipmonkey · 03/03/2011 00:08

Welcome loup and ochaye!

Thought I might have been spotting again this evening as I felt seepage down there ( sorry for tmi!) but wiped and it's clear. Relieved.Smile

tallulahpolly · 03/03/2011 06:12

Hello all, can I join? tested positive yesterday! very excited and nervous too, first pregnancy at 37. DH happy but very cautious. I want to tell my parents face to face next week,(they live 300 miles away) as they are visiting but DH thinks it's too early.
Sorry for the MC's on this thread, I can't imagine how nervous you must feel.
Nearly forgot EDD 7/11/11

rightontime · 03/03/2011 07:44

Welcome and congrats for all the newbies. Grin

Got my fingers crossed for you really useful Hope all goes well for you. x

pooky thats a fab reaction.

My DP was looking at cars on the internet and I showed one of the ebay cheap test strips and said look theres a second line. Admittedly it was faint but he just said no theres not and carried on talking about cars. so I said 'I'm trying to tell you I am pregnant' He was a bit shocked and then went into denial. so I took the clearblue the next day so he could READ it!

Chip So pleased that there is no more spotting.

Symptom wise I think I have quite a lot now. Very tired, very emotional (cried 3 times yesterday) bloated, wind, little heartburn and queasiness every evening and morning. Come about 10-11am I feel 'normal' though until 5-6pm.

Felt all faint and funny at work yesterday until I had a drink of water and then I was fine immediately after having a drink.

I haven't booked a Dr's appointment yet. Was going to wait till about 6weeks is that ok or should I be doing it sooner?

Am telling my mum tonight so fingers crossed she reacts well. She has been trying to discourage me from having another baby since I had my coil out. I think she assumes that I can't cope with my youngest. He has a lot of energy but he is not a problem at all so don't know why she thinks that.

ochaye · 03/03/2011 08:20

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! It might take me a wee while to catch up with all your stories so forgive me till i get up to speed.

cep i thought i recognised your name! Hello!! chipmonkey where do i know you from too - the same thread?

Love hearing your DH reaction stories. You've got to love them poor things!

DirgeInVegas · 03/03/2011 09:03

Hello everyone, I am reading but dh has broken our laptop again so posting from my phone, which I hate.

Welcome new people! Glad to see you back reallyuseful I knew the hobb nobbs would do it Grin

Cep I don't believe in tempting fate with maternity or baby stuff so if you find something that will adapt then go for it. My friend had lots of maternity stuff and breastpads in the loft before ttc and she's onto #2 now! Plus I bought maternity stuff between having dd and ttc#2 if I liked it and it was in a sale or something.

I am taking comfort from others lack of symptoms. I am 5 weeks today and feel not pg at all. I did another CBD this morning and it says 3+ like it did on Sunday. I am very windy (embarrassing incident during dinner with parents last night) and have heartburn but not hugely uncomfortable.

I am sure I had more symptoms with my past pg and I had a mc (which perhaps proves that symptoms mean nothing...er). Anyway, the point of this incredibly verbose post is to say I have booked a private early scan for 2 weeks time.

Off to make breakfast for dd. Will check back soon! Hope you're all well.

Red spotting this morning.Sad Really feel this is not going well. Am in work as well and am supposed to be here till 9pm tonight.

TerrysNo2 · 03/03/2011 10:07

chipmonkey I hope the spotting stays just that. Can you ask to go home now to rest? Keeping my FX for you. xxx

chipmonkey · 03/03/2011 10:45

Have patients booked in to see me. Will see how it goes.

DirgeInVegas · 03/03/2011 11:09

Oh no chip I hope it's stopped. I had spotting throughout my pregnancy with DD, they never found a cause. Hope it's nothing, I'm checking here through the day if you want (virtual) company.

OP posts:
bumpsnowjustplump · 03/03/2011 11:15

oh chip how awful for you. If it is any help i spotted for the first three months with both of mine and went on to have full blead 3 times with ds. Was taken in to hospital for test and rest but they couldn't work out where the blood was coming from. DS is now 2!!

I have my fingers crossed for you and hope you can get some rest today.

I am also getting worried. Now the shock has worn off i am so happy to be pg. I really am so excited and amazed and well extatic (sp?). But i have no symptoms at all. No sickness, no boob pain, no bloating, no heartburn, no tiredness, not even a peep of wind... I had all these very early on with the other two. I have a dating scan booked at gp two weeks tomorrow but the time is going to go so slowely !!

DP still not talking about it much but has thrown himself into trying to solve the space issue so he is coming around i think!

bumpsnowjustplump · 03/03/2011 11:16

opps excuse spelling

bumpsnowjustplump · 03/03/2011 11:24

Also

sorry to be a pest but need some advice.

DD has woken up two nights on the trot crying her heart out that her bits hurt. She is litterally holding her herself and when I lay her down she lifts her hips up saying it hurts inside. I have looked and can see nothing do you think it could be growing pains? She is fine during the day and when she goes to the toilet there is no pain.. She also wet the bed last night for the first time in a year.. dont know if it is related.. what do you think? GP or see how it goes? She is almost 4 by the way x

TerrysNo2 · 03/03/2011 12:06

My right breast is bigger that the other and hurts (not a lot) - WTF?!?! Hmm

bumps sorry I can't help re DD, I would say if you are worried at all then take her to docs.

knockedupagain · 03/03/2011 12:12

Welcome all newbies!
chip all you can do is hope for the best. I had terrible bleeding, not just spotting with my DS2. I felt convinced my baby had died, and went off for a scan at around 6 + 4. They said "Ah yes. There is a large haemotoma over here causing the bleeding. Looks like it didn't make it...Oh! But over here is a heartbeat!" They reckoned the likeliest cause was a non identical twin that I'd miscarried. This may be tmi, but I found that orgasms would set the bleeding off again. Sex wasn't an issue, I just wasn't allowed to enjoy it! I'm keeping my hands where I can see them for this pregnancy! I also had spotting for two out of the three other pregnancies which still resulted in a baby at the end.

knockedupagain · 03/03/2011 12:25

bumps It may be that your DD has threadworms. Very common in smaller dhildren. I remember my DD2 crying that her bits hurt, and it turned out worms were coming out to lay eggs and getting lost and heading up her vagina. It was itchy, then sore when she scratched. The worms only come out at night, so no symptoms during the day. Also my kids were prone to wet the bed when they had worms. I think the tickly sensation sets them off whilst they're asleep. I suggest you have a torch handy, and have a good look tonight for any worms or tiny white specks which might be eggs. They only come out once she's been in the dark a while. You could also examine her poo for any worms - easier done if it's in a potty, but still worth a squint in the toilet bowl if she objects to this! Might not be worms at all of course, but it's a thought if a not very pleasant one!

knockedupagain · 03/03/2011 12:34

pooky How lovely for you!Grin Pity I don't have a partner to tell, but never mind. Now that I think about it, got a cushion chucked at me when I told my ex about DC4. I'm off to buy a CBdigi now... all this talk of them is making it irresistable. Boots had a 2 for 1 offer on First Response POAS, so I got 2 double packs on Sunday.
