Hey score I had a look on AA earlier but the problem is I am after newborn-3 stuff and the smallest they do is 3 months upwards.

I found some good trousers on here I got the purple and green with matching cotton hats for when she is newborn. If the quality is any good I can see me going back for more stuff when she is older.

meds you are amazing with your energy, makes me ashamed of how lazy I am (although i did clean the bathroom today)

Medee · 06/03/2011 18:28

Jojo Maman has nice stuff in their Breton range - lots of stripes in bright colours.

OP posts:
Medee · 06/03/2011 18:32

actually, the straight trousers start at 3m, but the dungarees etc are cute. I have a 10% voucher if anyone wants the code.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 06/03/2011 19:30

Judging by my enormo-bump, I have not bought anything in newborn size Shock Grin, so sorry, Rocky, I didn't notice the sizes. LOVE those rainbow kids ones; just perfect.

I bloody love Breton anything, me - off to JJMB right now... oh they are SO cute!!! Is that voucher code for just one person (ie one purchase) or a generic offer one, Medee?

I love navy blue - whatever the flava, my baby would be dressed up in that.

rocketleaf · 06/03/2011 20:21

Oh i could get carried away on there. I think i found the voucher code, just googled it and it seemed to work. Those little stripe bloomer type trousers are so cute!

Medee · 06/03/2011 20:44

I love the dungarees with the polo shirts - am going to get some in 3-6m once baby is here I think. The navy and red combinations are lovely.

Code I have is MTA11 for 10% off orders over £45. Not person-specific.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 06/03/2011 20:52

Cheers for the code, Medee :) I think all babies look adorable in dungarees. Summat about their padded bums and then the tiny feet sticking out of the bottom

The bloomers too are divine. Would they work on a boy? I think so.

Medee · 06/03/2011 20:53

Check the sale page for some trousers as well - only one colour in newborn size, but it is ecru and navy stripe.

rocketleaf · 06/03/2011 21:00

btw VIL02 works for any amount if you don't want to spend £45, although that is very easy to get up to!

Orchid12 · 07/03/2011 07:27

Hello ladies. Good to see you are all keeping the economy going (as my Dad would say) and buying the wee tykes lots of lovely thing Smile. I'm slightly Envy at the thought we don't have too much to buy. The most exciting things are a bed, a wardrobe and a buggy board that I can think of. However, it's probably a very good job as we have spent up on decorating our bedroom and the hallway, and then having to fork out for the roof to be fixed which we hadn't banked on! My car insurance reminder also came through on Sat, so I think not going shopping is bar far the best thing for me!

I have been having lots of lovely kicks over the past week. Mr O even felt one for the first time on Sat.

Meds any news from you?

AlpinePony · 07/03/2011 08:40

medee As you're having so much fun packing and unpacking your hospital bag, might I suggest outfits of different sizes? No knowing what size your baybee will be and I went home with mine looking like a gangster rapper and honey's looked like Dawn French in Mylene's bikini IIRC.

laurielou · 07/03/2011 09:08

Morning ladies!

Scorps how are you this morning? Sorry to hear of all your health scares. I have no words of wisdom I'm afraid, so a quick snog & grope will have to do. Let us know how you get on with your appointment today.

Rocket That is so sad about your BBF. Tales like that do act as a swift reminder that when I'm moaning about fat feet, or Mr Loz is huffing at my snoring, we are very, very lucky. I hope they have some positive news soon.

LadyG lovely scan news! Sorry it was in the same room which you received bad news before, but hopefully its put some ill vibes to rest. Did you find it hard not to find out the flava? I kind of wish I had now, but that's just me being awkward.

Well, I had a fairly rubbish weekend, but looking back its kind of a Frank Spencer kind of weekend. Went to a funeral on Fri - best way to describe relation is Mr Loz's step-gran (though he didn't really have that kind of relationship, if that makes sense). Obviously all funerals are sad, but thanks to my diffed hormones & them playing the same song as we had at my grandad's funeral I completely lost the plot Blush. Totally mortified, Mr Loz & I rushed straight to the car after the service so no-one would have to see me. Only step-mum did, & was really worried about me. Then, to pile on the embarrassment she later asked me if I was OK, & understood that the day brought me bad memories. I tried to lighten it a bit going on about being a crazy hormonal pregnant lady, but honestly. I'm still mortified. Blush

Sat was a disaster too. Went to hairdressers & decided to have all hair chopped off. Well, I can't be adventurous with clothes so said sod it! with hair (looks OK). Hairdresser was really enjoying a complete re-style suggested by her, when she combed over a head-mole I never knew I had, & I bled all over the shop. She nearly fainted, I had about 4 hairdressers all holding blood soaked tissue to my head. My hair was only partly cut at this stage. Once again mortified I was finally glad to leave. 5 mins away from salon I went over on my ankle & fell over onto my knee. That cut & bled through my jeans. Mr Loz answered the door hoping for a beaming me with a new haircut, only to find me sobbing & covered in snot & blood Blush. Many cups of tea & fuss later, he went to the footie & I went to my parents for a bit more tea & sympathy. Went to Ikea with my mum & sister, paid for 3 items, then only put 2 in the car! Left the other one presumably in the trolley.

Thankfully, yesterday was catastrophe free.

Fingers crossed for a good day today. For everyone!

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 10:14

Oh Lozza , oh dear, you poor thing - I too did not snort with laughter at your disastrous Saturday. I hope you are recovered now and I bet your hair still looks luffly despite the trauma. Grin

Please accept this heap of battenburg to make things better

I nearly bought a teeny tiny pair of socks yesterday then decided I will wait until the scan next Monday is over and done with. Waiting for scans is rubbish.

Medee · 07/03/2011 10:20

oh dear, Lou, what a day!

Good luck for consultant appt later Scorps

OP posts:
Ivegotmrbitey · 07/03/2011 10:29

I am not laughing either loz and I definitely did not snort tea out of my nose. Your poor thing! Did they finish your hair? (priorities)

I had a similar mole experience once and then it kept happening! I would warn the hair dressers it was there and they would always catch it. I had it removed in the end! I have a feeling that the differ hormones can make moles etc enlarge and darken so hopefully yours will go back down again?

I got into bed last night because my sister had been on the phone for an hour and it was making me feel faint only to park my naked behind in cat sick Envy The good news is that my sister was ringing to say she is eight weeks diffed! She had a MC on new years eve but is feeling extremely sick and pregnant this time so praying all goes well for her.

Waiting for scans is rubbish moley I am dying to go shopping but superstition won't let me yet. I have actually bought quite a few things, monitors etc but not things that are specifically for this baybee if you see what I mean. Can't wait to get my shop on, stupid scan isn't until next tuesday when I shall be 20+5, it's not fair!

rocketleaf · 07/03/2011 10:30

Oh loulou what a nightmare Glad you managed to have a disaster free day yesterday to make up for it (its because you didn't get out of bed isnt it?)

score fingers crossed for you today!

booty its hard waiting for the 20 week one isnt it. I kept almost buying things and putting them back for a few weeks before.

I am feeling a lot better today, I think even managed to get 6 hrs of unbroken sleep!! Still a bit snotty and have a cough that will prob linger on and on but have been up and about and Doing Things (tm) this morning. Off out to see BF which I think will be a bit emotional then going to try and get myself to differs yoga later.

I am intrigued by these full body pillows, how are they better than just loads of normal ones and how do you use them? Hug them or lie on them or what?

rocketleaf · 07/03/2011 10:34

Ohh forgot to say hi to orchid and the kickingkid Kicking is lovely isnt it! I was concerned it would have got boring/annoying/painful by now so happy to say is hasn't. Although having been on spinning babies I am now obsessing about where I am getting the kicks, which is daft as its all over the shop so Sprout is must still be changing position all the time.

Medee · 07/03/2011 10:35

a bit of both rocket - supports your bump and then wrap your legs around them to support your hips.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 07/03/2011 10:36

Awwww, poor Lozza. What a shocker of a day Shock Let's get comfy for some heavy petting to console ourselves PS re: the funeral - on the bright side, your ILs now think you really, really love their family Grin

Yay for lovely kicks from your little bud, Orchid :)

Bleeuch. I have not slept at all. I mean, not one wink. Hip pain, headache, sinus crap, The Lad booting bladder all night - between 5am and 9am alone I had to wee 5 times! I rang the antenatal peeps and asked about waiting times, cos I feel too rough to deal with sitting about there for hours and they admitted it'd be 12noon before I had a chance of being seen Angry Explained stuff to MW in charge and if I go in at 12, they will rush me in within 20 mins. Result (I think). Still can't sleep, but would rather feel menkul with exhaustion at home than anywhere else!

Also, the actual consultant is not in - will only be seeing a junior doc. Am sure they will be fit to sort out my multiple, complicated ishoos Hmm Deep joy.

Scorpette · 07/03/2011 10:45

PS V happy to hear BiteySister's good news. Must be both fab and scary after the horribleness of NY. The new year starts for them NOW, eh?

Orchid12 · 07/03/2011 11:24

Scorps sending lots of big, hope you get sorted vibes your way. You've probably left for the hozzie by now but didn't want you think I don't care.

Rocketman glad the cold is easing and you've had some sleep Smile.

Lozza I'm am also most, definitely, not laughing either Grin.

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 11:52

You never know, Scorps - you might get lucky and see a junior doc who has not actually succumbed to the NHS cynicism yet and actually manages to be helpful and caring - they do exist!

Whoop for Biteysis - that is ace news. Btw I have leapfrogged you on the scan front slightly. Next week we shall do The Shopping, oh yes indeed. Tiny socks here I come. Cat sick on arse is gross; ours barfed on the path yesterday and then proceeded to eat it. I almost barfed on the barf.

Hope your BF is okay, Rocket and not too downhearted. V.v hard.

Ivegotmrbitey · 07/03/2011 12:12

scorps the FDH saw a new GP the other day who was brand new, he was AMAZING! Up to date on latest treatments for his condition, full of advice and support and gave him some fabby new drucks. Hope all goes well for you anyway.

boots yes next week we shop! Loved sprockets rainbow baby link and will be ordering somethings from there fo' sho'. Also M&S had nice bright body suit style things. What do baybees wear on their legs though?? I am feeling a bit clueless about the whole thing! but haven't cried about it at all

Lovely kicking stories orchid, must be so nice espcially mrO having had a feel too!

owlbooty · 07/03/2011 12:25

Babies have legs? They are only short. Like Scorps says, it's basically nappy down to ankles then feet. Grin

I too love the bright and lovely things. There will be no pastel blue/pink chez Boots. Plus in a month or so I am going over to Netherlands so will have to have a quick shop whilst I am over there :)
