Oh drom sorry things aren't going as planned but can you take heart from being able to use some of what you've learned to help you post recovery and with bf if you do it? I am a planned c-section baby and I am ace Smile

It's your baybee's birthday next week! How exciting!!!!

Roxette my eyes are on stalks! That info is going to have to go in my learn something new everyday list and never ever be told to the foot dragging one!

I have got a job interview on tuesday! Eeep! (As they say in these parts) I may just get away with not looking too diffed, going shopping on Saturday for slimming outfit! Anyone else had a job interview at 18 weeks diffment?

They should do a scaredy cat smiley don't you think? They could use my face as a prototype?

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 15:03

Drom, what happens if you go into labour before then? Will you be going ahead naturally (all being well) or whipped in for a section regardless. I don't know how these things work. You sound pretty calm anyway.

laurielou · 16/02/2011 15:05

Holy Moley, its Cheggs! How are you & the little ladies?

Drom Gah to not having the birth you hoped for but YEY for having a date. How do you feel about it? I hope you're OK. I suppose you shouldn't really have expected a such & such birth - have any PESH's had the actual birth they planned? Confused. Think I shall try some reverse psychology.

Rocket Thanks for drying all our wuss tears & bringing us back to PESHdom with talk of anal sex. Surely only us lot can cover lovely new baybee to anal stories in the space of a few hours?

(Am also glad its not just Mr Loz who has the mind of a teenager. No-one can mention "Number 2" without him sniggering).

PerfectDromedary · 16/02/2011 15:16

Berwhale's head isn't even engaged yet, so I don't think s/he has plans to come out naturally. But given the potential size, I think they'd whip me off for a c-sec whatever. Am very uncomfortable with the risk of oxygen deprivation at birth and it's relatively high because Berwhale has a big stomach which might suggest big shoulders. Tis all a guessing game, though - will be amused if s/he turns out to be under 8lb after all this!

Outcomes from planned c-secs are fairly similar to natural birth, as far as I can see, so should be fine once the baby is out. And there is something lovely about having a definite date in mind, too.

BUMSEX!

rocketleaf · 16/02/2011 15:34

Ha doesnt sound to me like 'planned' and 'birth' should ever be used in the same sentence really.

I have pumped my yoga ball up to bout a 1/4 full and am bored already. Surely there is some differs reason why i should not be doing this and can make TB do it?

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 15:40

maybe not rocket, but these wouldn't be proper BESH kids if they made our lives easy! And at least all the ESH mums and babies ultimately get through delivery safe and well.

At least you can be organised Drom. i shall be checking in with interest while away next week.Smile

rocketleaf · 16/02/2011 15:41

Good luck with interview bitey how about this for interview wear? :o

CurlyCasper · 16/02/2011 15:43

"checking in with interest" sorry, that sounded a bit detached. i will of course be thinking of you muchly, Drom, and sending lots of love, and violence that you won't be able feel anyway because of the drucks.

owlbooty · 16/02/2011 15:55

Blooming heck Drom , how big exactly do they think the baybee is?

Better to have calming planned section than last minute emergency panic section though. Plus you can look super-glam throughout and make sure everything goes exactly how you want as you won't be off your face on G&A, which is always nice.

Ivegotmrbitey · 16/02/2011 16:09

Is perfect lambsleaf!

milanomum · 16/02/2011 16:44

Drom slounds like it's all under control and I totally agree with the knowing the date aspect. The thing that I'm worrying about already is how to manage the arrival with no family here and a 2.5 yr old Confused

Bitey great news on job interview - are you showing much? Floaty tops a-go-go I'd say (or a tent with a scarf added).

milanomum · 16/02/2011 16:44

*sounds

Scorpette · 16/02/2011 16:55

Wahey, CHEGS! Unhoik the bra, Scorps is diving in Gawd, but it's fab to see you here :)

Mix of yay and bumflakes for Drom - on the one hand, you know when you'll be seeing Berwhale (this time next week, eeep!) and you and he will be safe and in great hands, but it is still disappointing to not get the birth you want, esp. after all your diligent prep. Just pass on all your best tips to us lot, then it won't be too wasted :) In fact, I don't think any learning is wasted; at least it's empowered you and given you positive focus throughout.

Quietness from Kate - hope that's a good sign. Perhaps the foof-footing or the bumsex has worked?! Grin

Bleeeuch to anal induction. I wouldn't do that when hot n horny n un-preg so I can't see myself starting when the size of a house Confused

I am 27 weeks today - THIRD TRIMESTER! Am excited but also bricking it that I haven 't started pg yoga yet (makes my headaches worse whenever I try), we have to move, we have to get a new rustbucket car and we still have to buy eeeeeeeverything. Well, apart from a bib - my Aunt gave me a Charlie & Lola one as an Xmas stocking filler. And I have bought The Lad some impossibly cute tops. Priorities straight an' all that.

Every bastard viewing for a house we book gets cancelled cos some other gits snap it up, grrr. Doesn't help that TYF works until 6 and doesn't want to take time off work to save it for the baybee. MEH.

Re: Muse and her pics - blimmin' amazing. I love pics of babies anyway but I could stare at ESH-bairns all day long

Oh, and Bitey, you go nail that interview, looking both sexy and professional in that lovely outfit Rocket has chosen for you. Just lay off the belching, farting, tears and all the other class preggo moves Wink

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 17:35

Quietness from Kate means she out walking t'dog. Wink

Milanomum I've had babies come out both ways, and in my opinion the foof-related advantage of the CS was outweighed by the near-death experience that was my CS. I was actually more concerned about how having a 9lb baby shot out of my foof would affect my horse-riding! After all, most new fathers are happy with any kind of 'ow's yer father at all, and are not fussy whether it's a bit flappy!

CluckyKate · 16/02/2011 17:43

Only quiet because there is no news and starting to get just a leetle bit pissed off about it all, but not so desperate as to try the bumsex.

Stressful walk with the naughty dog this afternoon - disappeared & wouldn't come for 1/2 an hour then I slipped & fell in the mud. Have also spent most of the day waiting on my mother (couldn't even make herself a cup of tea Angry) and fending off induction chat.

Sorry to be memememe....will post again when I've snapped out of this strop.

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 17:53

You know me, Kate - I'd have been complaining much louder by now. You should have a medal for your non-complaining-ness! Btw, didn't you just say to your mum 'you know where the kettle is, and mines a raspberry leaf tea, ta very much!?'

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 17:55

PS TT says you REALLY need someone to get that naughty baby out right now, he is a cheeky monkey! Apparently it's all she talked about at playschool today.

Medee · 16/02/2011 18:41

You're quite entitled to be a bit meme, Kate. Hope it happens soon.

Sorry to hear you aren;t getting what you planned for Drom, but at least you know when your baby is coming!

rocketleaf · 16/02/2011 19:16

I can't believe you are only having a whinge now clucks you have been so patient so far!! And what's with your mum? She should be waiting on you hand and foot Hmm

Walked to differs yoga and it cancelled due to half term (it's in a school) despite us checking last week. Oh well fresh air did me good and I am knackered after just the walk. Dunno what's wrong with me (oh yeah I'm pregnant)

Scorpette · 16/02/2011 20:13

Bloody hell, I don't think you're being mememe enough, Kate! Is no fun whatsoever to get this far with no sign of the baybee making an appearance. And as for you mum not making herself a cuppa, well... she doesn't get a cuppa then, surely? Grin

Are you okay after slipping over? Hope it wasn't too serious. Let me kiss it better

Nice of them to be so clear about things at differs yoga, Rocket Hmm I am knackered walking any-bloody-where nowadays and am a waddling freakshow Blush

CluckyKate · 16/02/2011 20:17

My mother might be a lazy caah but she did suggest a few G&Ts (also known as Mother's Ruin) to get things going. Not sure on her reasoning - she pointed out that gin was once used to procure abortions so may have some effect on the ole ute Hmm - but am willing to give it a bash Grin

Also read somewhere that laughing is good to get things going so will be sticking Michael McIntyre on once I've downed a few more gins.

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 20:24

Hey, hang on a minute. You laughed at me just now when I suggested you get hammered, even if only to give the MWs a laugh!

I am sure he will arrive tonight. I am onto my second glass of wine after finally getting baby-who-does-not-sleep off to sleep at last, then having TT play a little practical joke on me (oh how I laughed at being made to hunt high and low for her precious monkey clock when she had it under her pillow all the time - the tears she produced will have her an Oscar by the time she is 10!) Also OH has deflated the Princess bed tonight. Why?! Clearly LittleChick will be needing it shortly.

Backinthebox · 16/02/2011 20:28

Scorp I'd like to say that Clucky is used to hitting the ground with a wallop, but then racked my brain and realised I had only seen her fall off her horse once in 8 years. It would seem I am the falling-off-horse-lots half of the friendship. (I have seen her fall over many more times pissed, though! Classics being New Years Eve the first time I was pregnant and she was trying to pretend she wasn't getting pissed without me - result was a full on Delboy Trotter sideways plank fall, closely followed for amusement factor in her falling in a ditch trying to cycle home from my 30th birthday party and losing her flip-flop. Grin)

CluckyKate · 16/02/2011 20:55

Thanks for worrying about me Score - the slippage was minor and only involved muddy knees. S'not the first fall this pregnancy tho - slid down the stairs on my arse last week and had spectacular puddle-swim with LC last month. Clearly the safest place for me to be is on my horse Grin

Good to hear MrBox is doing his bit to get this baby out - much appreciated.

Ivegotmrbitey · 16/02/2011 21:24

Glad you're ok Kate

differs yoga was on here, half term is next week. I luff it, and even better it is next door to a chippy! Very tired, relaxed and stuffed full of chips!
