Redtartanlass · 09/10/2005 20:25

We're not a very happy bunch are we??? I fell 20 million times better this evening as have spent the day dozing....catching up on some much needed sleep.

Can't beieve we didn't have a weekend baby!!! Well maybe somebody will....3hrs to go.

Just think, next month at this time, it will be all over and we will wondering what all the fuss was about

Redtartanlass · 09/10/2005 20:27

Oh lovely to hear from Susis and NM..reminds us what we're waiting for Just the good bits please!!!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 09/10/2005 20:28

RTL - i hope you're right!

We are all sleep deprived and in too much pain to carry on arent we!

Had a really strong feeling my waters would go today- but nothing!

BigBumpBonnie · 09/10/2005 20:33

no weekend baby from me Should be pleased as was ds birthday today. Went out for dinner and have had a really nice day. Now nearly 2 days overdue so am hoping something happens next week. Still getting pains but would rather have nothing at all or something definate.

Anyway, off to try and relax (tried the active approach and that hasn't worked so I'm back to chilling on the sofa ) Good luck everyonexxxx

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 09/10/2005 20:34

At least you are still getting pains BBB.... mine have stopped completely

hester · 09/10/2005 22:06

Hi everyone. Nervousmum - lovely to hear from you. SusiS - I think I forgot to add my congratulations before so well done and welcome to litle Caitlin! Welcome too to Rodeo, and JBM - really sorry to hear about the GBS; you could do without that.

I'm still getting period-type pains, but they've not got worse over the last fortnight so clearly nothing is imminent. Lastnight I was up for hours feeling rough, and today i seem to have some kind of bug - feeling very nauseous - so am hoping to recover before anything momentous happens.

EDD is a week tomorrow! Scary...

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 09/10/2005 22:08

Well, just had a 20 minute stomp round the estate with Jess in her buggy as she was refusing to sleep.... and now i have the pains from HELL really low down. Its pretty constant though so assuming its nothing to be concerned about.

Good news though - Jess fell asleep and is now tucked up in her cot! Here's to a lie in tomorrow- HA BLOODY HA!

Jockey · 09/10/2005 22:29

Oh SusiS I'd forgotten about those afterpains. Seem to remember they were really strong whilst breastfeeding... so glad all is going well with you. Glad Joey is more settled now nervousmum.

J&BM - well done for getting Jess off & enjoy that lie in (if the pains stop, that is!).

Elf1981 · 09/10/2005 22:39

Sorry to all those still waiting to pop and feeling miserable. Wishing you all swift labours!

Back from hospital today. Just thought I'd pop on to give all details and then off to bed before my boobs weigh me down and I cant get off the chair

Went in on Thurs for my section. Had a scan before to confirm Boo was still breech, which she was. Off to theatre which was a bit nerve racking. Spinal didn't hurt too much, just a bit of pressure rather than pain. No probs with the op, and then was told that we'd had a little girl which was a shock as we'd suspected a boy!

We decided we couldn't stop calling her Boo (we'd called the bump Boo since the beginning of the pregnancy) so decided on Evelyn Boo which I'm sure she'll hate us for when she's older

Evie weighed 8 lbs 13 1/2 oz so prob a good thing I didn't go for a breech delivery! Think it would have split me in half!

Thursday felt rough, all hooked up to IV's and cathethers etc. Have been in hospital til today, slightly struggling with breast feeding but expressing has worked well (thank god other wise I would be dragging my boobs behind me!) so we're getting there.

Will post a pic when feeling a bit more awake! Going to have a lie down for a bit before Evie wakes up for her late feed. Just glad to be home. Here's for a good nights sleep!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 09/10/2005 22:43

Great to hear from you Elf... and LOVE the fact you have kept Boo.... and yes im sure Evie will hate you for it, but at least its individual for her!

If i get a boy, i dont think DH will be too impressed with the middle name Becky... we are so sure its another girl that we keep calling bump "Becky Bump" because we have chosen Rebecca for a girl!

Jockey · 09/10/2005 22:43

Oh no, this is really annoying. Fell asleep with ds for half an hour at 8pm and now can't get to sleep! Might have to try that glass of wine after all.... [shame].

Can you get gas & air for those afterpains btw? Actually at this moment in time, I'll be pleased to make it through the birth - I seem to have a mental block on anything afterwards.

Hope everyone sleeps a little better tonight.

Jockey · 09/10/2005 22:49

Good to hear from you Elf and great that you're back home. Evelyn sounds lovely & look forward to seeing that piccie. Hope your mum is ok.

mawbroon · 09/10/2005 23:10

Glad to hear you are home Elf. Not a drastically long stay in hospital for you then. My baby has made no signs of turning, so it is looking more and more likely that I will be following in your footsteps. My midwife told me that it takes an extra day after a section for your milk to come in, so hopefully that's all that's happened and you will be producing gallons of the stuff soon!!

I finally made my green tomato chutney today. I have been threatening to make it for weeks now however I still have around another 12lbs of green toms to deal with..... Guess what everyone will be getting for Christmas

MB

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 10/10/2005 00:08

Right, well after my stomp around the estate and sex with DH im now getting cramps again..... stopping me from sleeping.

Fingers crossed......

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 10/10/2005 00:35

grannygoose · 10/10/2005 00:35

Hiya J&Bmummy - you should be resting if this is the "real thing".

I cant sleep tonight too. Thinking of making myself a snack - any suggestions?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 10/10/2005 00:38

grannygoose · 10/10/2005 00:45

Good Luck and take care then - I am off to stuff my face. Probably because I have been watching UKTV food for the last hour! Will catch up with the news tomorrow.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 10/10/2005 06:22

Redtartanlass · 10/10/2005 08:19

JB&Mbump any update???
My due day today, receiving about 50 texts an hour asking "Anything yet?" I should be glad people care, but it's driving me mad!!! [GRIN]

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 10/10/2005 08:25

Pains are starting to die down at the front but got severe back pain right now.

this baby WILL come this week!

morningpaper · 10/10/2005 08:42

40+9

It's MY birthday in three days - I REALLY don't want a baby on my birthday and spend the rest of my life having to organise parties for someone else on my big day!

RedTartan I'm getting calls ALL THE TIME too! Honestly, do people think we're not going to let them know?!?!?!?!

Redtartanlass · 10/10/2005 08:44

MP -you still here.......

mawbroon · 10/10/2005 09:18

Oh MP - It has to happen soon for you now and things are sounding promising for you J&BM

RTL - Im getting folk phoning and emailing me every day asking if the baby has turned yet - and then they say "oh, still time" I just want to shout "leave me alone and i'll let you know if anything happens turning wise or labour wise". But of course I am too polite.

Going for lunch today with MIL and her cousin which should be nice. I am getting out of trailing round all the shops though (can't stand shopping at the best of times!!)

Hope there is some baby action today girls.
