Good luck J&Bm and Trice. Looking forward to seeing you on the other side....(the post-natal thread, that is )

xxxxxxx

mishmash2 · 25/10/2005 12:11

How exciting! Best of luck to those left... although that might not be many by the end of today!

nervousmum · 25/10/2005 13:17

Congratulations J&BM - i finally found the birth announcement on another thread. You'll have to put us all out of our misery and tell us whether Bump is a boy or a girl. I'm hedging bets on a boy...

Jockey · 25/10/2005 13:18

Elclose I got REALLY ratty with my ds2 (age 3) in the few weeks leading up to giving birth and ended up hating myself for it. It really can get very trying. I am actually finding it easier with him now that I've lost my huge bump, even though there is a baby to look after too.

Good luck to everyone that's left and I'm looking forward to reading a birth announcement very very soon!

grannygoose · 25/10/2005 16:51

Evening all - does anybody know for sure if J&B mummy has had her baby yet? I am dying for some news. Me...no sign of baby yet, but going for a sweep tomorrow. At this rate, baby is going to miss out on wearing his halloween outfit....

JessicaandRebeccasmummy · 25/10/2005 18:05

Baby Rebecca Alison born this moring (just!) at 12:15am. 7lbs 4oz..... and looks just like her sister!!!

Jockey · 25/10/2005 19:00

Congratulations J&RM and welcome to Rebecca Alison. Brilliant news

grannygoose · 26/10/2005 09:34

Congrats J&B mum and dad and big sister and welcome Rebecca Alison - such a lovely name too...

Is there anyone left besides little old me? Trice - are you still there? We might have to hope over onto the post natal thread lest we get lonely over here!

Redtartanlass · 26/10/2005 11:27

Blinking eck, nothing for ages then we all went at once??well sorry some of us. My heart goes out to you all still waiting. I?ll have to update the stats!!!

Have had a traumatic few days where I nearly lost my confidence as a mother. Falling out with the medical profession (well 4 paediatricians) and having ?irresponsible? written in your notes, does not help your confidence one wee bit!! If it wasn?t for the amazing mws at Cheltenham I?d have had a very distressing time.

Anyway HUGE CONGRATULATIONS & TILLYKKE to

For those waiting for their bbs, I have a tip for going into labour.

BAKE THE OCTOBER THREAD CAKE???

Will post some pictures when I have a bit more time.

shama · 26/10/2005 11:36

Hi everybody,

I delivered a baby girl on Oct 8 just 2 days after I posted my last message.
Did not have access to internet all these days.

Congrats to all others.

I am very thankful to this thread and all the people who post messages in it. This is my first baby and thanks to this thread, everything went off smooth.

Where do we go forward from here? Is there a thread for bringing up the baby?

grannygoose · 26/10/2005 11:50

Hi Shama - try the postnatal thread for October. Lots of mummies and stories there....

mrow · 26/10/2005 12:05

Grannygoose, Im still waiting too! 5 days overdue and counting! Think this is the hardest bit of pregnancy so far!

grannygoose · 26/10/2005 16:04

Hi MRow Just been to see the MW who has booked me for an induction on 4 Nov if nothing happens before then. I am quite disappointed that nothing is happening yet, but I am glad that I have some time to go naturally. I really dont want to be induced.

Lexie100 · 26/10/2005 16:29

Hello, this is Mr Lexie here. We had a beautiful baby girl yesterday morning at 3.55am. Annabel Elizabeth 7lb 8oz.

I know Lexie will give you ALL the details when she gets back home (tomorrow, hopefully) but she wanted me to post on here to let you know.

oh, and from me: thanks for supporting her and sharing all the knowledge through the pregnancy!

Hooray - another baby!!! Congrats Mr and Mrs Lexie.

babyonboard · 26/10/2005 18:35

hi..just a quick congratulations to those that have 'dropped'..you mus tbe so proud!
How many of you ladies seem likely to join us in november now?

mawbroon · 26/10/2005 21:17

Just popping in to say a quick hello to everyone. I will also post on the antenatal thread too.

We got home on Monday afternoon and even though I say so myself, we are doing really well. We managed to get breastfeeding established fairly quickly, despite the fact that the milk takes longer to come in after a section. Johnny has been sleeping since 3pm with only 45 mins awake during which time we managed to get him bathed, changed and fed again. Long may this continue.......

I haven't been able to read the whole thread, but I just want to say congratulations to everyone with their new arrivals, and fingers crossed for those who are still waiting.

ahem, I mean the post natal thread

Redtartanlass · 26/10/2005 21:42

CONGRATULATIONS LEXIE

JessicaandRebeccasmummy · 26/10/2005 22:00

YAY Lexie! I beat you to it but only just!!!

elclose · 27/10/2005 11:59

Hi, everyone congrats to all who have had their babes!
I am officially due today, so where is this baby? DD1 was 14 days overdue i just hope its not a repeat performance. On the menu tonight is a hot spicy curry!! How many of us our left in october?

Mimixx · 27/10/2005 16:43

Hiya, I was due 24th October, and I'm already booked for an induction on 4th November - but I will do everything not to be induced - It's curry tonight, s*x every night (my husband is happy!!), lots of raspberry leaves tea, hot baths, bumpy rides in the car, anything else??

grannygoose · 27/10/2005 17:08

Hello leftover ladies like me.... I have tried pineapple, curry, RL tea, walking with one foot on the pavement and one foot in the gutter, driving over cobbles. I must admit I havent tried sex - I dont feel at all sexy with this huge bump. I am yet to try reflexology...

I was booked for 4 Nov induction too but also hoping to avoid that. Loads of time to get baby moving down. (notice me trying to be cheerful).

elclose · 27/10/2005 18:35

hi mimixx, and grannygoose at least you have both got an induction date!
My mdw wont even refer me to the consultant until nov 7th which will make me 11days over then i will prob have to wait a few days after that for an appointment then an induction (hope it doesnt come to that)
DD1 was due on 23 october 2002 and i was induced on evening of 5th nov, nothing happened then went into labour at 9am next morning and she was born at 13.26pm so quite a good induction experience.
Dont mind if i have to be induced again i would just rather have this baby sooner rather than later.

grannygoose · 28/10/2005 09:58

Morning El and Mim - I think I ate too much pineapple for breakfast and feel quite pukey. El - did you manage to have a "natural" birth after your induction ie... without ventouse or forceps? And could you move around?

That's my main worry - that I wont be able to have an active birth and will be strapped to a monitor and a drip. I had really wanted a water birth. Oh well - there is very little to be done apart from wait and see - which is easier said than done...

I am going Christmas shopping this afternoon, so trying to make the most of the extra free time. Have a nice day to both of you (and anyone else lurking on this thread)
