Oh God probably just us. i'm now 8 days late and two sweeps later. This little one is not budging. Well i still have 2.5 days before i'm induced.

so, you booked in for monday then lexie?!

Jeez... then i really will be sitting here talknig to myself!!!

Oh well, ive got a sweep tomorrow so maybe we will both popmonday/tuesday with any luck!

Oh lets hope so. Have to go in monday night 7.30. DH not allowed to stay with me

cant believe ur dh isnt allowed to stay. i was induced with jess and dh was allowed to stay with me - they would have known about it if they tried to send him home!

i think i just had a show not that that says much but at least things might happen themselves.

yay! Ill bet you pop tomorrow or monday morning - i know so many people that have been booked in for induction and done ti themselves just before!!!

ive been a bit "damp" down there this morning so not sure if its slight trickle of waters or what!!!

My gorgeous baby James was born 14/10 at 11:58am (long waiting time due to traffic accident blocking up operation ward!!) by straightforward C section, 4 kgs 51 cms. (Midwife a bit embarrassed about not quite so big baby... said I could probably have got him out myself. But he was perfectly ready and healthy, so I am not angry. Not worth running the risk anyway.)

I am absolutely besotted!! He is feeding and sleeping so well -- long may it last! Will write more later. How can I put a picture link in?

Sorry for the silence, have been busy giving birth!! Baby girl Alice Anwen was born Thursday 20/10/05 at 8.26pm, weighing 9lb 15oz (4.5kg), 16 days overdue.

I went in as planned on Wed afternoon for induction and was given a prostaglandin pessary,which had no effect, repeated the next morning with still no effect. Then I had my waters broken at 6.15pm and just over 2 hours later she was born! Horribly painful but mercifully quick labour.

Midwives took all day yesterday to get round to discharging me and I have been breastfeeding constantly ever since (including now!) so difficult to post earlier.

Congratulations to danishmummy, mawbroon, hester and redtartanlass! Good luck to those still waiting!

Afternoon ladies. Congrats to all you new mums. Today is my official due date, and no sign of the little tyke - but it's my first, so probably to be expected.

I am getting more and more nervous, and DP is getting more and more excited. I have an appointment for a sweep on wednesday, but holding thumbs that I wont have to go......

Ponto - well done! (although the thought of 40+16 makes me want to cry). You have your beautiful baby now and I bet the long wait means nothing to you now.

Trice - ive given up!!! im 40+1 now - officially ocverdue!!

Sweep tomorrow will hopefully kick things off a bit.... who knows?!

Wouldnt catch me going 16 days over - but congrats ponto!!

(if sweep doesnt work, got another Thursday and then booked for induction next weekend, so either way by 1st November i SHOULD have a baby!)

Have been having regular BH since 4pm and they have been painful. Getting closer together but i don't think they are painful enough to get excited about. Will keep you posted.

Morning.

Had another show last night but BH stopped at 9pm and nothing since. If nothing today then i'll have to be induced on monday. Lets just hope that all this practicing means it wont be as long or hard when i get to do it for real.

Off for lunch at MIL - really willing baby out so i don't have to go
