RTL - no worries hun, just cant believe you are still here!

Did you manage to get some sleep? Could be a long day.

I finally fell asleep at about 1.30am after erading for a while in bed.... Jess woke me up at 7.30am so thats not too bad, still feel knackered though!

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 08:20

Yes RTL. I will give Pawbroon instructions how to post on here on Friday. Of course, the ECV might work in which case I will be able to post myself and will then have to play the waiting game along with the rest of you (although surely you will have all dropped by then - especially if i go overdue too!!!)

So, please don't go starting a new thread or Pawbroon will be talking to himself!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 08:24

Bless.... well done on getting Pawbroon up to date.

My DH knows MN like the back of his hand, but i have told him he isnt allowed to post - but that was before i found out i had to stay in for 24 hours after baby born..... may have to let him post very BASIC details now!

So, we have got Ponto this afternoon for induction, RTL will drop at some point today, and then MB for friday...... we're doing well. Mine will be here at some point in November!

Redtartanlass · 19/10/2005 08:30

lexie, forgot to ask, did you go to your mums?

Where's hester and Danishmummy?

Maw, if Paw can't do it maybe Joe, Maggie or Hen will be able

triceratops · 19/10/2005 08:32

Good luck Ponto and RTL.

It is my due date today and I am going to bake myself a cake. And eat it.

I hope I manage to get a nap today - I didn't sleep and I am shattered.

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 08:33

Remember J&BM It MIGHT be Friday for me IF the ECV doesn't work..... I could still have another three weeks to go if they get this baby turned as I have decided that if they do manage to turn him then I am not going to be induced.

I have been swithering between hoping for a section so that it's over and done with, and hoping that they get him turned so I can have a "normal" birth. I think that wanting a normal birth is now winning by a long way!

Yep went down to mums and back with not an twitch of this baby coming. I thought just the idea of being away from home might set something off, but no.

Will get date for induction today so will be able to see the end in site if nothing happens naturally after sweep this am.

Trice - what a FAB idea.... maybe i should go to the shop and get a packet mix - its about all im up to!

Jess is being really good so far this morning, just sitting palying and letting mummy sit at the computer undisturbed!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 08:36

Good point MB....

Ok so....

Ponto - induced this afternoon
RTL - anytime today!
MB - POSSIBLY friday
Lexie - Sweep today - baby tomorrow!
Me and Trice - WHO KNOWS!

elclose · 19/10/2005 10:24

Hi ladies its really hotting up now, am getting jealous of all this birth talk, 39 weeks tomorrow got gp app so may ask her to have a look as feeling loads of pressure in bum area! Is that normal? Cant remember having it with dd1. GOOD LUCK to you all.
P.S. dont bother with packet mix for cake just do 4442 as in oz's of flour, butter, sugar, and eggs and slash of milk it never fails.

Lexie100 · 19/10/2005 11:05

Well that was a complete waste of time. The bottom part of my cervix is ripe but the top part is still closed so they couldn't do a sweep. She said to do some walking. I did 6 miles yesterday with the dog how much more can i possibly do .

Booked in for induction on 24th so only thursday, friday and monday to find things to do as DH will be here at the weekend.

Well I can confirm that Curry doesnt work. I had a large one last night, and it just kept me awake all night, and when I was asleep, I was having really horrible dreams...Staying in today to catch up on my rest/sleep. Weather is dismal - I am so glad I am home and not commuting to work now.

elclose · 19/10/2005 12:31

Just got absolutely soaked picking dd1 up from pre school, had to walk really fast so hopefully that may get things moving (chance would be a fine thing)

Redtartanlass · 19/10/2005 13:01

oh lexie - what a downer...mind you I've had 2 sweeps and a 4cm dilation and I'm still here!!!!

Dp and I have just spent the whole morning, mega spring cleaning!!! Well I say me and dp, really it was dp with me giving the orders!!!

Still drip, drip, dripping, but no pains.....
SHe is a wee madam!!! Everybody thinks I'll just gopush, push and out she pops.

Lets hope eh

elclose - do you just chuck it all in and mix with a spoon?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 13:12

awww Lexie - thats crappy.

Well ive jsut woken up from an hours nap.... Jess has just got up from 2.5 hours sleep - oh well, DH will be home shortly to entertain her while i get a little bit more sleep.

As im off out with the girls later, fell i should be well rested so i dont fall asleep on them!

Lexie100 · 19/10/2005 13:19

RTL - wont you have to be induced after 24 hours when you waters break because of risk of infection?

Off to see me friend who just had the baby. Hopefully holding the little one will bring out the hormones and start of the contractions, ohh i can dream

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 13:24

I reckon after all the things you girls have been trying to get labour started that it's safe to say that none of them work!! I'll bear that in mind if mine turns and then I'm sitting here waiting for things to get going!!

I'm going to watch Neighbours today - I haven't watched it for years but I believe that there are loads of old characters coming back for the 20th anniversary. Am I sad or what!!!

Then I will clean the bathroom (no, really, I will been threatening this for days now!!)

MB

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 13:29

Mawbroon - that was yesterdays episode!!!

elclose · 19/10/2005 13:30

rtl- put flour in last then splash of milk depending on consistancy, cook at 190 for 25-30 mins, but dont rush out to the hospital and leave in oven!!!

Redtartanlass · 19/10/2005 13:33

elclose do you have one to many 4s. Recipe too confusing for me

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 13:41

Oh no!!! I thought it was a whole series of episodes. Bugger. Oh well, I'll watch it anyway

RTL-
4oz SR flour (or plain and some baking powder)
4oz butter
4oz sugar
and x2 eggs

bake for 18-20 mins at 190degrees. Don't forget to grease cake tin first though!!

Enjoy

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 13:42

oh sorry. 18 - 20 mins instruction is for if you are making x2 thinner cakes.

Sorry, I'll just butt out of the cake discussion

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 13:43

well that will be my task tomorrow - waiting for shopping between 4-6pm and then going out at 7pm so no chance of doing it before (need sugar which is in the shopping!)

elclose · 19/10/2005 13:44

forgot to say it must be self raising flour xx

elclose · 19/10/2005 13:48

Rtl-- sorry should have written it like MB did but it really is simple just bung it all in a bowl mix and bake xxxxxxxx or buy a mr kippling victoria sponge i did that yesterday
