what about gingerbread.....dp is on a mission to bake He's bored...waiting for dd to appear!!

ponto · 19/10/2005 13:53

Hi all, hopefully posting for the last time before baby arrives. Had another show last night/this morning but still only painless tightenings so labour could still be days away - I'm going to go in for induction later. Have just eaten huge slice of chocolate roulade to give me strength for labour!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 19/10/2005 13:53

All the best Ponto - look forward to hearing your birth announcement.

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 13:58

Good luck Ponto!!

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 14:07

Pah - now I remember why I don't watch Neighbours any more - it's pants!!!

I'm showing my age here, but I remember when it first started, people at school petitioned the headmaster to change time of the lunch hour by 10 mins so that they could see the end of the episode before going back to school for the afternoon!!!

Redtartanlass · 19/10/2005 19:16

Quick update....still here.......still breaking and NO contractions, love to all

Good luck Ponto, me and dp away to bake cake....

laurenholly · 19/10/2005 21:52

just checking in with you girls before i go to bed.

RTL.... cant believe you are STILL here.... honestly thought when it all went quiet this afternoon you were off!

Been out tonight and had a few drinks, so off to bed in a bit. DH is asleep on the sofa so i had better wake him up!

Will try and catch u all in the morning but MN has annoyed me slightly this evening (could jsut be the alcohol) but i probabyl wont be about all that much.... will try and post once a day to keep you posted though.

RTL - ill still be on MSN if u need me!

mawbroon · 19/10/2005 23:17

Oh well, been to bed - lying down gives me heartburn and lying in the dark does nothing to stop me worrying about everything. So now having a nice cup Horlix......

I need a drink.

Redtartanlass · 20/10/2005 01:52

J&BMum,take it you didn't win

Maw Broon, try not to worry too much, read your other thread and some of the replies sounded quite promising eh?

I can't sleep (obviously) offically 10 days overdue, when I go to MW tomorrow, think I'll let them book me in for induction. This is getting silly, gone through about 6 bath towels already!!!

Anywya love to you all -rtl

Lexie100 · 20/10/2005 08:15

Morning ladies, 6 days late. Had the most horrific backache last night and even got the tens machine out. Thought i might as well get some use out of it as if i do have an induction not sure it will be much help.

Will be spending the day walking the dog (poor old thing) to get this baby out.Lets hope it stops raining.

Have a good day all.

Hi All

Had terrible night, STILL no contractions, 36 hours after waters breaking. Have phoned community widwife who has told me to phone hospital. SO today will probably be the day....

Anyway, love to all and prob next time I come on I'll have babe in arms.

Jockey · 20/10/2005 09:13

RTL - just to wish you good luck - will be thinking of you today.

mawbroon · 20/10/2005 09:18

Good luck everyone.

I had a crap night too. Finally got to sleep around 2am. DH kindly woke me up umpteen times to complain about my snoring - I NEVER normally snore .

DH has got a stinker of a cold which I think I am getting too. I am wondering how wise it is to have a section whilst not 100% (unless it's an emergency of course) and will ask them this morning when I go to the hospital for my pre ops. I remember that when I got a wisdom tooth out, they wouldn't do it if you had any kind of cold or infection at all........ of course this could be theoretical as the ECV just might work!!

Travel system finally arrived today, lucky i am late!

Also caught the bug and made a cake - will now try and eat it all before Dh ever finds out .

Feeling far more relaxed today. However, dreading an induction.

mawbroon · 20/10/2005 21:33

I'm still here. Just been doing last minute stuff in case I go to the hospital tomorrow and return a mother!!!!

I have to fast from midnight, so there goes my cup of horlicks at 2am whilst browsing MN!!

I really hope that I am back on tomorrow telling you that the ECV was successful..... either myself or Pawbroon will keep you updated, but either way, it won't be until later in the day as I can imagine that we will have to do a lot of hanging around the hospital.

Have to leave the house at 7.15am - bloody hell......

Good luck everyone, hope things are happening soon
