Thanks MB but I've given up and am trying to just chill out a bit....

Anyway I've just posted on anther thread about your greenhouse habit!!!! A lady was asking for advice about c section and I suggested she chatted to you......

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 09:22

Had a really "vivid" dream last night - i had a baby girl but she was HUGE! Filled the car seat when we brought her home from hospital, but she was the spitting image of Jessica..... really scary!

All i remember is that it was a monday we came home, so going by that, it means i would be due to drop on a saturday night to get out on a monday due to the 24 hr obs!

mawbroon · 14/10/2005 09:28

J&BM - does it tie in with Madam Zs prediction for you?

RTL - did you tell this other lady that it didn't work????

Redtartanlass · 14/10/2005 09:33

Maw - no I didn't I'm on a mision to see all pregnant ladies in their greenhouses burning things between their toes.

It amuses me greatly....

mawbroon · 14/10/2005 09:38

Glad to be of service Red!

I'm off to my aquanatal now.

madam z said night time baby and a girl..... who knows?!

Jockey · 14/10/2005 11:26

Hi sorry forgot to say baby was 6lb 9oz - heavy enough for me thanks very much! Still discussing names!

Yes, it was fairly straightforward in the end, as I said before I stayed at home but had no idea I was so far gone when arriving at hospital. Tried to push baby out on all fours with help from gas & air but this didn't seem to be quite working so the midwife asked me to turn round and lie on my back. Just in the process of doing so when, mid-turn, upright on my knees holding on to dh, she slid out (gravity gave me a helping hand!). Nearly ripped dh's t-shirt off in the process.

She seems to be addicted to the breast so I'm hoping there won't be too much weight loss. I like the timing as this now means we have a week or so of peace before half term begins. Everyone is stunned that she has come on time (well 2 hours late!).

Hope you're all doing ok. It cannot be long now surely - things are really hotting up!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 11:29

aww thats a really nice birth story Jockey..... with any luck mine will be as straight forward!!

Glad that little lady is feeding well, i doubt she will lose much at all.

COME ON GIRLS - and where is BBB - she MUST have dropepd by now?!

Lexie100 · 14/10/2005 11:38

Jockey - lovely story

I have decided to stand all day in the hope that gravity works here too! I'm up for trying anything now . Something has to work!

Wow Jockey - you make it sound easy peasy!

Glad to hear that things went well and that your little one is feeding so well.

Jockey · 14/10/2005 12:12

Phew! Had a chance to catch up now - huge congratulations to Piggiesmum . Sorry to hear that it was traumatic for you.

Still no sign of BBB? Hope danishmummy is ok.

I suppose my birth story does sound easy and I know I've been lucky but I was sweating like a pig and looked like a rough old dog (not much change there then!). It is so worth it!

Donbean · 14/10/2005 12:34

She says it was a very positive birth experience and went very well.
She will tell you all about it in due course.
Im SO proud of her x

triceratops · 14/10/2005 12:51

I can't believe all the ladies on this thread are having babies. I feel like an imposter, I am sure this bump is just wind .

I have to cross my legs until monday now as there is nobody on duty for my homebirth over the weekends.

Well done BBB I know a lovely little girl called Ruby. It is a great name.

Piggiesmum - congratulations.

mawbroon · 14/10/2005 13:17

LOL Trice. I think I've just eaten too many pies! I still can't come to terms with the fact that there's a baby in there!!

MB

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 13:19

Congrats BBB....

right, definately not many of us left now!

hope danishmum is craddling her baby now!

mawbroon · 14/10/2005 13:36

Yes, I hope so too J&BM. She had to be at the hospital for 7.30am but goodness knows what time she will get seen. I have started to warn DH that although we have to be at the hospital for 8am next week, it could be hours and hours before we are seen - especially if there are any emergencies to be dealt with. There are only so many old issues of Take a Break that you can read before going insane!!

Right - I'm going to go and do some gardening.

MB

elclose · 14/10/2005 14:11

Hopefully your hubbie wont be like mine MB, i told him to bring loads of mags to read and he did just that!! Right up until about 10 mins before dd1 was born, he only paused to pass me a sip of water between contractions then promptly stopped reading when i swore at him. He was pretty good for the last 10 mins though, and has turned out to be a super dad now.

Jockey · 14/10/2005 14:47

Many congratulations BBB and welcome to Ruby .

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 14:48

RTL - you have gone quiet - is this it?! Was i right?! Are you in labour?!!

God, the suspense of this thread is crippling!

mawbroon · 14/10/2005 16:34

Ouch - the three hours I've just spent in the garden is crippling me!!

But the front garden is now tidy!!!

Shame about the back garden, but tomorrow is another day!

MB

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 14/10/2005 16:42

MB - will you stop putting the rest of us to shame and sit on your bum for a day or 2!!!!

I havent even managed to hoover or empty dishwasher today - let alone do the gardening for 3 hours!

Lexie100 · 14/10/2005 16:44

Ok ladies do you think i'm mad.....

Due today and have just about had enough. The house and garden are spotless. I'm now wandering around not knowing what to do with myself.

My mum, who i get on with really well, has invited me down to stay with her. She lives 1.5 hours away. DH says he'll drive us down tonight. I know the hospitals down there and can take everything i need. If the baby comes we can stay for a week etc if not i can come back up here on tuesday for my 41 week appointment.

Do you think i'm mad to go?????
