I have bought a chest of drawers and not the M&S one, so hopefully not copied Drom. Went for this from Mothercare Milano Dresser which with the 10% discount code I found was slightly more in budget. And unlike the M&S one, which said 4 weeks for delivery, is meant to come in 7 days.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 17/01/2011 10:21

Ah thats looks very nice muse (but I think you should have checked with drom first Wink) Can i just ask where you put the discount code? I spotted this at the bottom of the page and have found a code but can't find where you put it. Is it right at the end of the ordering process?

Muser · 17/01/2011 10:24

Yes, right at the end. After you do credit card stuff. I hate that way of doing it as I'm always concerned I've missed it. But you have an order review screen and a voucher option on the right hand side.

That's very nice too, I was admiring it.

OP posts:
PerfectDromedary · 17/01/2011 10:28

God, all this shopping. I really, really need to order a chest of drawers and I really, really can't be arsed. But both of the above look lovely.

Muser · 17/01/2011 10:31

Are you in De Nile Drom?

OP posts:
ginhag · 17/01/2011 10:36

Get the one muse has drom (obviously Grin)

This train is fucking busy. One before was cancelled. Think I may witness a fight over bOoked, unmarked seats soon...

PerfectDromedary · 17/01/2011 10:38

No, am not entirely in De Nile. Just waiting for this week to be over so I can think about stuff again.

Gin I hope you're sitting down and that no one has an elbow in your hurty ribs.

Muser · 17/01/2011 10:56

That makes sense. Soon you will be free of the vile commute!

OP posts:
Scorpette · 17/01/2011 10:59

I wasn't even aware there was a code. Must search later. Consultant soon Do other people have to tolerate Radio 1 being played loudly through a crappy stereo in the maternity waiting room of their hossie? Grrr.

That's a good plan, Drom. Just wait until you can get in a zone where you can think straight and blitz whatever's left :)

Gin, give 'em ESH hell!

Muser · 17/01/2011 11:09

Good luck Scorps.

OP posts:
Orchid12 · 17/01/2011 11:33

Scorps good luck with the consultant. My hozzie has the TV on, sometimes you can get Jeremy Kyle to entertain you whilst you wait...

All lovely stuff that people have been buying. We have most stuff (apart from a wardrobe and single bed for mini O) so I'm not out on a spending spree for squidge which is a little disappointing. One of the things I am looking forward to buying though is his/her first outfit for after it's born. I have a big thing about squidge having it's own clothes for it's debut into the world. After that it can have mini O's cast offs. So, the first outfit is something special to look forward to getting Smile.

Drom good luck on getting through this week. I hope it goes quickly for you.

Orchid12 · 17/01/2011 11:34

sorry - it's/its failure. Can I blame insomnia and hyperactive cats?

rocketleaf · 17/01/2011 11:52

drom just get muse to buy 2 of everything and give her the money Wink One more week to go! Hope it goes quickly.

gin train sounds horrendous, have you set a leaving date yet? (suspects gin will work until waters break regardless)

I haven't been to the actual hospital yet (prob wont before birth apart from tour) but the ante natal clinics always have a tv on with adverts pushing various differ gubbins and those 4d scans which always freak us both out, TB always refers tp them as Quade (from Total Recall - was going to post link but is actually too disturbing) I'd prefer radio 1 tbh!

orc insomnia is crap :(

PerfectDromedary · 17/01/2011 12:04

rocknroll That is a genius plan. Muse, you don't mind, do you?

LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO, BEYATCHES! Thursday is my last day. Makes all better - even the sitting here at them moment trying not to vom, knowing that I have to go out for posh lunch with lovely author and agent. (Oh, poor me, my diamond shoes are Too Tight etc etc)

Those adverts are hilarious! And I am always freaked by the 4d scans, even though I can totally understand why others might want. It just makes it a bit too real that there is an ackshual baybee inside you.

NCT classes this weekend did a good job of creating the terror in me, too. Newborns are weird. What was I thinking?

Grr to insomnia. Rocks Have you had gall bladder verdict? Have lost track of whether the results are in or not.

rocketleaf · 17/01/2011 12:24

Insomnia is not so bad for me at the mo as i don't have to get up early. I think i am missing sleeping on my front, configured 3 pillows this morning, two for upper body and one for hips with gap for bump and that seemed to work. Obviously won't be an option when i get much bigger.

I have appointment with GP on Thursday as I left it too late to get an appointment last week (and they didn't bother to tell me they had the results in) TBH not much to tell tho, 99% sure i have stones so it just going to be learning the extent of the problem really. Hey ho. Hope I can sort out some physio for back too and seeing an Osteopath for a free taster on wednesday so that should be interesting.

Right, must get on with filing (joy)

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/01/2011 13:13

Scorps they play local bbc radio in my hospital, it makes me want to tear off my own ears and eat them. I have my scan in a few hours so am taking my iPod with me as the FDH can't get here in time SadGood luck with the consultant.

Pillow arrangement sounds fab rocket will you pile more and more up as you get bigger? Am giggling to self at thought of you in the PESH and the pea scenario! I bought a bolster at the weekend becasue while I have no bump yet I need something to cushion my massive norks! I can pop one on top and cwtch the other one underneath and is bliss!

CluckyKate · 17/01/2011 13:23

Pillow configurations get more elaborate the bigger you get Bitey. Am sleeping with at least 4 normal ones & a long maternity on atm....there is no room for MrCK in our bed.

Hope the appointment goes OK Score

Hooray for getting to your last week Drom - blimey, seemd like only yesterday you were added to the not-list. Enjoy your last week....hope they're spoiling you with cakes & lunches out and aren't cracking that whip.

Ivegotmrbitey · 17/01/2011 13:36

I am looking forward to there being no room for the foot dragging one clucky! He spent last night thrashing around like a new landed salmon!

Last Monday for ages drom am Envy but very glad for you that it has come around.

Had a good read up on various pain control over the weekend but wasn't clear if you can have an epidural and a water birth. Very much liking the idea of both! Perhap OBEM will enlighten me tonight.

Medee · 17/01/2011 13:44

Do other people have to tolerate Radio 1 being played loudly through a crappy stereo in the maternity waiting room of their hossie?

Even worse, my GP plays Northsound 1 so not only can I not read against the crappy music, there are adverts too. I was reduced to 3 month old Grazias.
Hope the consultant appointment goes well, Scorps.

PS, my bump is no longer deceptive, measuring bang on this morning, so shall have to think of a new slogan for the next incarnation of this thread.

rocketleaf · 17/01/2011 13:50

I need a new one too meds I am toying with:

"growing a high priestess and a henge for her to worship in" :o

Medee · 17/01/2011 14:24

I hope that you watched QI at the weekend, and know exactly what a henge is - apparently Stonehenge isn't a henge Confused

owlbooty · 17/01/2011 14:25

Bitey good luck with the scan - and no, I believe you can't do epidural AND waterbirth as you would probably sink below the waves & never be seen again due to numbness in leg region.

Good luck with consultant Scorps also.

Someone else has a scan tomorrow I think. Is it Milano? Or G ?

rocketleaf · 17/01/2011 14:31

There is one tomorrow and Wednesday I think boots but baby brain has stolen my knowledge of the PESH involved. :-(

Just googled henge and I didn't know that medee will have to change to 'stone circle' then for the sake of pedantry (my own and everyone elses!)

owlbooty · 17/01/2011 14:59

Wednesday is me Rocket but general thickness has stolen my knowledge of who Tuesday's candidate is.

In my GP's waiting room they only have Saga and 'What Car?' magazine. Tis piss-poor. I never want to touch them anyway as they will be covered in PlebFilthGerms.

milanomum · 17/01/2011 15:00

Memememememe!
But am not thinking about it. Not at all.

Pliz to consult for any henge-related queries as have useless degree in Archaeology.

Scorps ??

I think the whole waterbirth+epidural might require some scuba equipment which might be distracting, buuuttt if you add G&A to the scuba tank then you might be on to a winner.
