Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Preeety i live in leggings,, with a hole in the knee just to be cool!!!

Have resorted to comfy mat troosers for work and size sixteen tops from Next (tenner) which are long and quite stylish actually... (for me who usually looks like a tramp!) but rummaged in dsis loft at the weekend for our shared box of mat clothes...so once everything has dried will have some combats, a couple of nice ish tops....

But i will still wear....leggings!

I was a bit upset actually with DM as DS is convinced its a baby sister called Porsche!! and we were chatting that 'hes gonna be disappointed' and mum responded 'so will i' off the cuff... it really hurt and upset me but i dont think she meant it horribly, and i know people have their preference, but she will have what she gets - FACT! Grin I would love two boys as much as i would love a boy and a girl - and am sure she will. Funny.. she had daughters and now has grandsons Grin Grin... i feel like Ann Boleyn under pressure from the king except the other way round Grin

LadyGoneGaga · 03/02/2011 14:12

Nickster - my mum has 1 Granddaughter and 3 Grandsons now. And the girl is the eldest and now a very grown up 18! So I think there is a clear gender preference from her too. But your Mum will love the baby whatever. Grannies always do!

On the side my DP's Mum had three boys and then has one grandson. But SIL is also pregnant and is def having a girl so pressure is off! Phew.

I'm not going to find out though. I like the surprise!

Thank you all so much for the thoughts, advice and sympathy. Went into A&E and was admitted because of tenderness and bruising in the suprapelvic region (!) DH was meant to leave for Egypt last night (he's a journo) but cancelled and stayed with me.

They couldn't find heartbeat Confused so went for a scan this morning and everything is fine! Thank god. Little one was jumping around and dancing (all DH's dance moves unfortunately) but it seems I am further along that I thought. 14+2 so EDD is actually 1st August which is a bit too close to our wedding anniversary on the 3rd.

Bruising was from the seatbelt so all ok. Just want to say thank you for being such a wonderful supportive bunch. At least I didnt have to wait a few more weeks before my first scan in the end!

xxx to you all

KLou111 · 03/02/2011 14:43

Oh so relieved everything OK rehune :)

LadyGoneGaga · 03/02/2011 14:50

Great news, Rehune. Glad everything is ok.

littlemisslozza · 03/02/2011 15:54

Brilliant news rehune, and nice to be brought forward rather than put back. Could be a lovely anniversary present, double celebration.

nickstermum · 03/02/2011 15:57

Good news Rehune.... :) seat belt, just goes to show you never know!

daisysair · 03/02/2011 16:15

fab news rehume!!!

MrsStevo · 03/02/2011 16:16

Hurrrrrrrrah Rehune!!! So pleased and relieved for you! Must have been a stressful night for you but all worked out well in the end. And your wedding anniversary will be all the more special if a wriggling little baby arrives on the same day! Congratulations :)

Rehune · 03/02/2011 16:36

Thank you! ps - Chelsea and Westminister hospital seems really nice. It's not where I am planning to have the baby but was a really lovely place/ Very unhospitally if you know what I mean!

Rehune · 03/02/2011 16:42

And littlemisslozza and MrsStevo I was thinking the same thing about the anniversary although DH said he would laugh until he died if we were celebrating a birthday every year on our anniversary But this could be payback when he recently found out that first anniversary present is paper and not emeralds like I told him it was (I didnt get emeralds by the way)

PrettyVacant1 · 03/02/2011 16:45

Made up for you Rehune Smile

daisysair · 03/02/2011 16:47

I meant to ask at my appt today but forgot, so for those of you post 12 weeks-are you continuing taking folic acid/not?

FeralGirlCambs · 03/02/2011 16:50

Glad you're ok Rehune, what a scary thing to happen. I keep having day nightmare moments when driving about 'what if I crash the car now' (these do not improve my driving!) Never have done yet, but I think pregnancy makes these things seem so much more scary. Btw, your anniversary is my dd...

Anu3 · 03/02/2011 17:20

Rehune - Awesome news! Glad everything is ok!

Daisyair - Ive completed 13weeks + 6 days today and still continuing with my folic acid pills! But thats only cause i didnt know you stop after 12 weeks! I have an appointment with the mid-wife next week so Im going to find out - Thanks for posing that question!

Rehune · 03/02/2011 17:24

daisyair I am still taking it and gyno at hospital said to take Pregnacare as well which has Folic Acid in it. I will ask at my appt on Monday.

Oh and FeralGirlCambs at least having a daynightmare means you are concentrating on the road! It's those 'autopilot' moments that get you (Can you tell it's not my first car crash?)

Rehune · 03/02/2011 17:30

Carrie did you get through about your scan?

KTisPG · 03/02/2011 17:51

Rehune Great to hear you're all ok.

Byher I don't think it's a money thing as I work for a major global corporateConfused.

Just been pulled off my biggest project too, "for my own safety" Hmm because I don't handle stress well(!?!?) All the feedback I've ever had before is that I'm calm and collected under pressure. Sad. I'm trying not to over react but I'm really upset about it!

Scan tomorrow so that's something to look forward to.

Rehune · 03/02/2011 18:07

Annie456 Stay at home and rest. And more cake!

MrsVidic · 03/02/2011 18:26

you can stop taking folic acid after 12 weeks. I wouldn't take the project thing personally kt its probably just incase you end up having to take time off for preg stuff. Ie i have a friend who has been off for months due to doctors orders and she is due soon.

wishwales · 03/02/2011 18:28

DH just treated me to a spontaneous game of bowling. Now I am wondering if it is safe to bowl whilst 14 weeks pregnant??? Any advice??

Annie456 · 03/02/2011 18:59

Ah so pleased everything is ok Rehune, it must be such a relief for you!

I'm feeling a bit brighter now thanks ladies ( partly because DH is due to land in a couple of hours!!)
I'm getting used to life with my wound and had my first dressing change / re-packing, although annoyingly the packing has already fallen out after just 4 hours...but I have to go back daily so I'm hoping it will be ok. Hmm

Had my booking appointment today and it might have been because I was grumpy but my midwife really annoyed me! He was running through my details and he actually said "and I assume your husband is White-Caucasian?" WHY ASSUME THAT?????! he changed my due date to 2nd Sept but I wont change it on the list until I've had the dating scan. Would be quite nice though as that was my mums EDD with me!
Anyway, sorry for the long post! Grin

Rehune · 03/02/2011 19:18

wishwales It's safe for him to bowl as long as he lets you win I guess

Annie456 Tee hee I can totally understand. Get alot of tlc and take care of yourself and be as grumpy as you like!

MrsChemist · 03/02/2011 20:28

Good to hear everything is ok rehune

I've still not heard from the hospital about my booking in/scan appointment. I called today, but they were too busy and it went to answerphone. I'm getting bloody fed up now.

LittleBeaut · 03/02/2011 20:41

Aw Rehune I really glad everything went well at the hosptial Smile
