Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
KLou111 · 25/01/2011 18:17

oh just doing my tesco shop online (got a £10 voucher so can't be arsed to go) really struggling not to get carried away, but I think doughnuts will just have to be there somewhere!!

MrsVidic · 25/01/2011 18:24

oh and the nando's i had after the doughnuts was amazing. The bean burger and chips hit the spot. Now i can.t move though. I even took my dd swimming after to get rid of the bloat but it didn't work. I am shattered now though.

LadyGoneGaga · 25/01/2011 18:47

Chip shop chips, battered sausage and curry sauce tonight. Yum Blush. Have eaten plenty of fruit today though so hopefully baby won't get scurvy just yet!

I wish I could be arsed to go and make some pancakes. I asked DP to fetch eggs the other day as was going to make some. Needless to say I still have a full pack of eggs!

bettyboo83 · 25/01/2011 18:54

If you're in the Lancashire area Gaga I'll send you a pancake round Wink Just found some Nutella too, oh my!

KLou111 · 25/01/2011 18:55

Nutella and banana pancakes are the BEST! Although am off chocolate at the mo :(

MrsChemist · 25/01/2011 19:01

I can't have nutella pancakes any more after I went to a pancake house and nearly slipped into a coma after all the sugar I consumed. It was a nutella, cherry jam, whipped cream and icing sugar monstrosity. Very tasty though.

daisysair · 25/01/2011 19:01

hersetta that sounds wonderful! Paternity leave is the only thing that affects us and it's a standard 2 weeks half pay Hmm

Yakuna fab news re the house

and teladi hope i follow your lead on no longer feeling sick soon ;)

KLou111 · 25/01/2011 19:06

LMAO mrschemist

LadyGoneGaga · 25/01/2011 19:10

Ooooh Betty - if only I was! I AM going to go and have a spoonful of Nutella though...

Yukana · 25/01/2011 19:39

Crikey MrsChemist that's certainly a lot of sugar!

On the food subject, have only eaten some haribo, quavers, pasta and... pasta, today. Should probably get some fruit into me.

spilttheteaagain · 25/01/2011 19:48

You lot are barking Grin Loving the food swaps and tips! For tea we have just had crap bolognaise and it was gorgeous. Just mince, onion, jar sauce (normally we do it properly but I was craving junk and sugar and the like) Yum.

Thank you everyone for your congratulations. This was a private scan - dating one is in a fortnight. They measured me a bit further on than I thought at 11 weeks (I thought 10+2) so am a little Hmm about the new date and will wait for the next scan and see what that reckons.

To those talking about screening and decisions - we have chosen to decline all the Down's blood tests. This is because the tests just give you a risk factor and aren't diagnostic, and I'm not willing to have an amnio so don't want to just have worrying info but no certainty. Both me and DH are 25 so are likely to be low risk on that basis which made the decision a bit easier. Also the little girl we lost at 20 weeks had her chromosones tested and they were all normal so that has given us more confidence with respect to chromosones if that makes sense?

If at the anomaly scan there are massive issues suggesting our baby is incompatible with life... I don't honestly know what we would do. Maybe ask for an induction so we can have and hold our baby for any moments they have. I don't know. It would be torturous. As others have said though I think for me making the decision would be the most horrific part. I was so grateful to our little girl for not needing us to chose to end it for her. We have no "what ifs" or "was there a chance" as there wasn't, and that certainty gives me some peace.

Yukuna congratulations on the house! I went to school near Yatton so know the area well. It's nice there Smile

MrsStevo · 25/01/2011 20:04

Ooooh, exciting times Yukuna ! I love househunting but, although we deffo need a bigger house, we deffo can't afford one! I wasn't far from Yatton this weekend - we were in Clevedon visiting rellies. Nice part of the world!

hersetta I am Envy but very pleased for you! I still can't get my head around the maternity leave thingamy. I also need to work out what will happen if I decide not to go back to work Confused

Had some fairly miserable news yesterday - DH is being made redundant in 2 months :( couldn't be much worse timing really but nowt we can do about it. I've made it clear that he needs to get himself sorted because I'm not going back to work so he can be a househusband!!

Was SO looking forward to breaking the news to the outlaws this weekend but it didn't go particularly well. Step-mother-in-law, aka 'the crow', 'the crab' and 'witchy features' was miserable about it, nobody seemed surprised or particularly excited about the whole twin thing and afterwards I just wanted to go home :( There may have been some hormones involved in my feelings though!

I'm all about the cake at the moment! Can't be doing with vegetables or, god forbid, FRUIT! Ugh. Cake, biscuits and ice cream are the food of the moment! All this talk of pancakes has got me very interested though ....

6 sleeps until the next scan! 5 sleeps until my first wedding anniversary! Exciting weekend ahead Grin

CappuccinoCarrie · 25/01/2011 20:09

Spring rolls are the new chocolate round here! And I really want some pain au chocolate but will have to wait to get to a shop, hopefully tomorrow!

DH away on business for 10 days :( [sob] etc. Grandparents driving the length of the country to come and help with the DCs, I'm full time at home with a 3yo and 2yo and rather low on energy right now!

I'm sure I felt the baby move a couple of times in the last few days...isn't 10 weeks a bit early for that?! Prob just wind again Blush

Bless you split for sharing that with us, what a great attitude you have though despite what you've been through. I love how you put that you were grateful to your girl for not needing you to make the choice. We're similar in that we've declined all tests as we wouldn't have an amnio, or terminate. That said, if we'd opted for them, I'd get the chance to see our little babyccino before 15 weeks Hmm

CappuccinoCarrie · 25/01/2011 20:10

Oh mrsS so :( :( :( about DH's job :(
Being a SAHM mum rocks though [bgrin]

spilttheteaagain · 25/01/2011 20:22

Thanks Capp.

Most likely it's wind I reckon though a few ladies are feeling movements now I think they are the exceptions. I have terrible gas Blush

MrsStevo bugger about his job, does he have a decent redundancy package or is it going to be a very grim few months? Sad your inlaws were so joyless about your news. I would have been very hurt.

MrsStevo · 25/01/2011 20:58

Hmmm..... cappucino, I've just spotted an uncanny resemblance between your last post on here and one of my sister's best friend's recent facebook updates. Hmmmmm....... coincidence??

Thanks for the redundancy sympathy, no redundancy cash as he's only been there 18 months. BUT he's a social worker too and works with childen so there will always been several jobs out there for him ... just a case of finding the least rubbish one that pays the most cash!

nickstermum · 25/01/2011 21:19

Gah busy on 'ere tonight, cant keep up!

I too have wind that i keep thinking is movement, i know what am looking for this time though, and tis the fluttery bits!! Didnt feel it when it was doing circus backflips at hte scan though!!

I am having downs bloods, i am older. I cant at this point say whether i would or wouldnt terminate in the event of a problem. I have another child to consider and i would look at the impact on him, plus the life the child would have. I would have an amnio. I know peeps who have had high risk bloods and amnios been clear. I wouldnt terminate without one... I would however make the right decision for my family. KT dont take this the wrong way, are you doing some research or genuinely just interested in opinion? Reason i ask is some threads have suggested journo invasion Grin

mrsS sorry about MrS job, been there, got the TSHite its wank! Hope he gets sorted veyr soon xxx

No judgement of young or single mums on here. I am older, just dont make me feel OLD! Grin No names LB Grin

I feel shattered tonight and totally on edge... wired like a spring in fact! Overtired... off for a nice bath, night all xxx

CappuccinoCarrie · 25/01/2011 21:56

Ha Ha mrsS I know you worked out yonks ago and I'm just a slow coach ;p

CappuccinoCarrie · 25/01/2011 22:07

last opportunity for burns night emoticons [bbear]!

Firawla · 26/01/2011 08:48

Mrs S sorry to hear about your dh job, hopefully he will get another one quickly

as for your inlaws what a miserable bunch they should have showed some enthusiasm especially for twins!!! i think most people will give you more of a better reaction

got my scan today Grin im gonna take ds1&2 with me so hoping for the chance they might both just sleep in the buggy so i can concentrate properly on scan, otherwise if 2 yr old is loose from the buggy he will just cause mayhem but dh is gonna meet me there too hopefully

LittleBeaut · 26/01/2011 08:54

Morning Ladies!!

God I had the most horrible night last night (ex paid an unannounced visit!!) which ended in my with a banging headache and throwing up most of the night. Didnt sleep and look well rough this morning (which is actually something he said... well that I looked rough last night not this morning). So because I had no tea last night I'm absolutely starving today... and havent got owt with me Sad. I hope someone is going out for some lunch early so I can get something

KTisPG · 26/01/2011 09:29

(hugs) LittleBeau I hate being hungry when I'm pregnant it makes me beyond grumpy!

Sorry to hear about your DH MrsS, I can however recommend having a SAHD - my DH is at home and I work fulltime. He is a marvel Grin.

Nickstersmum I'm really interested in what people will do, scouts honour. It occured to me with all the talk a couple of days ago about private nucal scans etc because I wasn't sure why people wanted them so badly IYSWIM - I've declined all the test with both my previous PGs. I've been a member of MN since 2007 if that helps, although have namechanged several times Grin

SelinaDoula · 26/01/2011 09:32

Was at a homebirth last night and knackered this morning, had about 5 hours sleep and trying to summon up the energy to cycle into work. And I'm hungry!

daisysair · 26/01/2011 10:15

littlebeaut hope you've managed to get some food-being hungry isn't good for feeling sick HUGS

mrs s :( @ your ILs and DH's job. Here's for some better luck your way!!!

nickstermum · 26/01/2011 10:23
