A new thread for all us friendly Dec ladies

We sit and we type,
And we stare at our screens;
We all have to wonder
What this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam,
Through the rooms in a maze;
Looking for something or someone,
As we sit in a daze.
We chat with each other;
We type all our woes;
Small groups we do form,
And gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody
To type out our name;
We want recognition,
But it is always the same.
We give kisses and hugs,
And sometimes flirt;
In PMs (IMs) we chat deeply,
And reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships -
Yet why, we don't know;
But some of these friendships
Will flourish and grow.
Why is it on screen,
We can be so bold?
Telling our secrets
That have never been told.
Why is it we share
The thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see,
As though we were blind?
The answer is simple;
It's as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems
And need someone to tell.
We can't tell real people,
But tell someone we must;
So we turn to the computer,
And to those we can trust.
Even though it is crazy,
The truth still remains:
There are Friends Without Faces,
With odd little names.

Well DH redeemed himself tonight. He bought me a gift box JASPER CONRAN perfume and lotion set!!
Thankfully he was early coming in from work because after crying in pain on entering the bath i realised i couldnt get out without fear of my left leg going from under me! Felt so silly having to ask DH to help me out! DH gave my thigh and hip a massage which has eased it abit now so have informed him thats his job from now on!
What pump do i need to blow this ball thing up? Have an electric pump for bouncy castle (hand held thing used for inflatables in general) will that do?
Im smelling great now thanks to DH and have made him read the bit about moods from DQs MW! He proceeded to say that im moody all the time till i pointed out that since last July i have been pregnant 3 times so no wonder my body is so messed up!!
Am off to prop myself up on pillows and wait for ALEX to start her bedroom gymnastics cos shes been quiet today so i know she will want to hokey cokey till the small hours!
Night girls.

Hi everyone,

I do still lurk and keep up with everyones news, I just never seem to have time to post! I start my mat leave 14th Nov so should have no excuse for not posting more regularly then.

Still going for regular blood tests for my thyroid and iron levels and baby is moving lots and lots - sometimes a kick takes my breath away!

No other news really other than that my ds has just turned 3 and we had a lovely party. He seems to be looking forward to the baby - he thinks Santa is bringing him - bit different to the stork I suppose!

will catch up more later - bye for now!

ebbie22 · 06/10/2005 08:21

Goodmorning all,just a quickie[all i can manage at the mo]as soo busy,stressing out with all the things still has to be done...Hello strangers,gd to see ur still lurking,i try to do that so i remember what has happened...but i just keep forgetting..lol

george32 · 06/10/2005 08:40

You mean Santas not bringing our babies then YBear?
Ebbie, you can't be as behind as me. So far our baby has a t-shirt, some socks, some bubblebath (thanks SS) and 2 shawls. Hmmm, not sure that is enough really!
We are doing a one day major shop near the end of the month & then we just pray that everything will get del'd in time.
Bonkerz, glad your DH spoiled you. Sounds like you needed it. Hope you feel a bit better today.
DQ, yes please to Brownie receipe. That one will be for me, the fish ones are for the rest of the family.

I will register with Boots now, I will register with Boots now, I will register with Boots now......probably still won't remember!

ebbie22 · 06/10/2005 08:46

dramaqueen72 · 06/10/2005 09:24

morning all.
ebbie, george, sent brownie recipe for you both. its the 'basic' one if you want the peanut butter one too just say. I dont want to inundate you otherwise.

hope all is well with everyone today. oh - i measured my waist line last night - well BUMP line should I say!- and its 43inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats huge from my normal waist!! trust me ladies, DONT measure yours! stick to TP, its much much kinder. I'm still in shock.............

sweetheart · 06/10/2005 09:28

Morning all!

Dq - I measured mine at the weekend after my SIL suggested that my current waistline was bigger than hers had been at full term Anyway, it wasn't so HA!!!!!

Mine currently measures 41 inches!!! I'd say my normal measurment was about 28"

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 06/10/2005 09:35

oh no DONT tell me all your measurements guys, cause I'm bound to feel worse!!! I dont really mind it being this size -it doesnt FEEL that size, I know i carry lots of water with my babies, so I dont think omg its 12lb or anything
right supermarket here i come.
sob.
ugh
tired, need sofa, brownie and tea......
oh and NOW its raining. lovely

dramaqueen72 · 06/10/2005 09:36

p.s. -we must have the same tactless sil!! mine says things like that. grrrrrrrrr.

expatinscotland · 06/10/2005 09:38

The keys to a happy life involve not owning any other scale besides one for kitchen use and restricting the use of measuring tape to DIY jobs.

I have NO idea how big this bump is but can feel every ounce of it!

I'm paying for all my youthful athletic follies now.

My feet! All my lovely shoes I can no longer squeeze my puffy feet into .

I feel decrepit.

dramaqueen72 · 06/10/2005 09:41

EXACTLY expat!!
my feet are fine, but i feel at least 106 yrs old. I literally creak as I move.
lovely!

bigscaryeyes · 06/10/2005 09:55

ei23 re torch thing yesterday - you are supposed to be able to move a torch across your tum (turn lights out!) and your baby will follow with kicks or movement cos their eye open at this stage - read this in mag - any other mummies tried this?

ei23 hope your MW appt goes well mine is later!

Nemo666 · 06/10/2005 10:01

lol agree about feeling huge and decrepit..I took 10 mins to get off the couch last night after rocking about a bit and then bursting into fits of laughter I actually said to dh who was phsl that god help me in 10 wks time..

george32 · 06/10/2005 10:29

I'm so not measuring with a tape measure. I'm happy with toilet paper as a ruler for the time being!

Oooh, going to have to give the torch thing a try. Not heard of that one before Bigeyes.

I'm so relieved, today is my last day in the office this week so only a maximum of 5 more days to go!!

sweetheart · 06/10/2005 10:41

Just wanted to show any of you planning to bf this stuff

Apparently it's well worth the £10 price tag as it's supposed to be the best stuff on the market. It stops your nipples cracking and bleeding.

OP posts:
expatinscotland · 06/10/2005 10:51

Boots carries that as well! I have painful nipples, will deffo be trying that!

scully · 06/10/2005 10:53

Hope that does work for some people, I found last time the only thing that stopped me bleeding most times I fed was wearing shields . still, I persevered and fed for 7mths, just took mine a long while to get used to it all. After that and 2 bouts of mastitis I at least know what to expect this time around
Could you send me those recipes as well dq? fish one and both brownie ones if that's ok. shall endevour to to something with them in 7wks time when I finish work!
Carpet being fitted today, yay. But first antenatal class tonight so will have exactly 2hrs from when I get home to when dd needs to be at friend's house whilst we're at the class, so not much time to sort out anything else.... Taking a half day off work tomorrow to get the house a bit organised before the weekend.....
Has anyone come across an under cot drawer for less than £33? Found one on ebay but would like to pay less than that if possible......

bonkerz · 06/10/2005 11:01

dramaqueen72 · 06/10/2005 12:47
