Still whispering the good news but is there anyone else out there wishing they had made the most of the Stilton this Christmas? [Wink]

Hope you are ok over the weekend Yoshi.

I managed to lose my lunch today more diarrohoa sorry if TMI. Praying its just something little thats upset it, as its only 2 wks since the last horrid tummy bug and I've been super clean hands etc. Fed up feeling crap.... but hoping the bean stays put.

I getting very nervous on this preg(my 2nd). Both my sis and best friend lost theirs at 11wks, I know its 1:4 dont make it and normally I am such a postive person just a bit scared this time (I 10wks+2d). Prob because it took 18mths to get to this point and I'm getting older... ho hum at least its friday :)

Hope everyone else had a better day?

Xmasevie · 11/02/2011 19:05

Hi all I'm currently tucked up in bed feeling soooooooo tired it's untrue. Had a shit day. Just coughed and my lower right abdomen hurt!! Is that normal?? Who the feck knows.
Yoshi - sorry for your worry, I know how you feel. If it gets any worse, go to a and e. I agree. That's what I did last time. It started light brown but when it turned black with lil bits of tissue - I knew. A and e would be able to refer you for a Scan or some epu are walk in. Stay positive and hope it's just random bleeding.
I took photos of my discharge (yuk) so I could show docs!

Hope everyones glad it's Friday. Doing absolutely nothing this weekend :-)

ursigurke · 11/02/2011 20:09

doobydoo I am so sorry for your losss. I wish you all the best for the future.

xmasevie, remember you have this lovely scan picture so I am sure everything is fine. Pain in your abdomen is normal in pregnancy, could have many reasons and maybe it is related to the green discharge? I think funny looking discharge can always be a sign for an infection (as well as your tiredness?) so I would say it is best to get it checked out as you might need some treatment for it even though it has nothing to do with your pregnancy.

yoshimi, I hope you could rest and relax a bit today. As said before, many women have bleedings at the beginning of her pregnancy, it is really common. I hope you'll soon find out it is nothing.

I hope everyone is having a nice and relaxed weekend.

redlaura · 11/02/2011 20:57

Evening all. Yoshi you're doing all the right things. Just got to rest and think positively as far as possible. Catching up on old tv sounds just the ticket. If it helps two of my friends bled all the way through their pregnancies and both have lovely healthy kids. Spotting or pink discharge does not automatically mean the worst. Try to put it out of your mind until monday xxx

Xmasevie short sharp pains in different parts of the abdomen are perfectly normal as far as I can make out. Ive been getting them too especially when I sneeze. It is likely to be ligaments around the uterus stretching and moving. Google it like I did and you'll see how common it is

Had my first midwife appointment. She's absolutely lovely and we went through medical history and took some blood tests. She also made me drink a whole bottle of lucozadeto check whether I'm likely to develop diabetes. Burped all the way through!!!

I had the most creative craving last night. I made a new dish called Mexican lasagne. Chilli con carne instead of bolognese, sour cream and grated cheese instead of White sauce and fajitas instead I'd pasta sheets. A-maz-ing !!!!

yoshimigalloway · 12/02/2011 13:08

thanks for your messages. yesterday evening i had a little bright red proper blood. Not a lot and just when i wiped a few times again but it was proper blood. i have had nothing since just a little brown discharge again once. sorry for the details i know it's gross but i think updating here helps. So still just waiting, my oh and i have talked it through and think that it could go eiether way. I have to say that i don't really feel pregnant anymore but i could just be preparing myself i suppose. I'm glad it's the weekend but i really just want to know whats going on.

redlaura, i think mexican lasange sounds very temping actually!

yoshimigalloway · 12/02/2011 13:31

*tempting.

ssmile · 12/02/2011 19:42

Anybody found some nice black straight legged 'work' type maternity trousers that are not all nylon/polyester? I am a curvy 14/16 but I've tried a few pairs now and keep looking like clown type pants. I don't want the big elastic band ones that go over the bump but the ones with elastic adjustable waist with the little buttons that you can let out slowly. I've looked on M&S and tried DPerkins and Debenhams but none fitted right. I had some for work 4yrs ago with DD and lived in them for months but strugling this time to find some I like. Ideally under £35??

Suzie3 · 13/02/2011 20:26

Hi there.
Found out last week that I pregnant again (no 4 - and NOT planned... eek!) Edd 11 Sept.
So I thought I would look you all up and see how many other people are in the same boat.
It's been a bit of a shock, and has taken both me and DH some time to get used to the idea (We thought we were finished at 3!)

But, here I am, and am now starting to get excited at the prospect (but this is DEFINITELY the last!)

My others are DD1 6yrs, DS 4yrs, DD2 18mths.
I feel totally exhausted at the prospect of another pregnancy with 3 small children, and even more weary when I think about having another little baby to add to the chaos... But it's also very exciting too!

And thankfully I am feeling pretty OK so far. About 9 weeks now I think.

How are you all doing? Hope all's well.
x

Suzie3 · 13/02/2011 20:27

Sorry ssmile, haven't thought about maternity clothes yet, but will keep my eyes open.

feralgirl · 13/02/2011 20:27

Yoshi, fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.

ssmile I had a really nice pair a couple of years ago that were either from Dotty P's or New Look - can't remember which - but they had the buttons and I was almost sad to give them up! I was looking in NL last weekend and their current maternity range has got some really nice stuff (although I wasn't looking at work trousers, admittedly).

I'm quite looking forward to going up in the loft and finding all my mat clothes and digging through the noobie baby stuff again Smile

redlaura · 14/02/2011 07:13

Thinking of you today yoshi

ssmile I found some yesterday in mamas and papas.

I watched "knocked up" yesterday which is a funny film but god knows what happened because I burst into floods of tears afterwards. A mixture of happiness, fear and a whole bunch of irrationality!!!

I think because you see both the guy and girl adjusting to this massive change and it all kind if hit home. With a bang. Feel better today though and I have my weekend in a spa hotel in the peak district to look forward to!!!!

Hope you all have fabulous weeks xxx

redlaura · 14/02/2011 07:16

Congraulations suzie and welcome aboard. Number four!!! Wow!

8035emma · 14/02/2011 07:36

Hi there everyone,
Can I join you please. I am roughly 7 weeks but have to wait for my first scan which is a few weeks away. I am happy, excited and nervous but just can't believe this is happening-congrats to everyone else. Think this forum will be great!

yoshimigalloway · 14/02/2011 13:05

hello everyone,
I've been for the scan and everything is fine! They saw a heartbeat and baby measures 25mm, they said 9.2 weeks. So what a relief, I had completely convinced myself that it was over, that i didn't feel pregnant and it would be bad news. So a complete shock.

Thank you for the support. I really don't know why they say 9.2 when i should be 8.4 from my LMP, but do you think it's just the rate of growth and it will even out? We weren't even trying 9.2 weeks ago! They could find no exsplaination for the bleed and said no cyst or fluid where it shouldn't be. They also couldn't find my ovaries but they must be there somewhere!

I have promised by oh that i will calm down now as it's a long 9 months!

x

ursigurke · 14/02/2011 14:13

yoshimi that is great news! :)
As for the exact day - business, I wouldn't think about it at all. Some are bigger some are smaller, inside the womb or outside. I don't even understand why they tell you "the day". Only a couple of babies are born on their EDD anyway.
I hope you will now be able to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
Oh, and LOL at them not finding your ovaries. I guess at any other point this scan result would have been really worrying but I guess not during a pregnancy. Maybe they just went on a well deserved holiday? After all they won't need to work in the next couple of month Wink

lxr1 · 14/02/2011 17:36

yoshimi so pleased to hear your scan went well today :)

Still have 2 weeks to wait before my first scan at 12 wks...

MandaHugNKiss · 14/02/2011 18:35

Great news, yoshi Grin

I've been super-stressy all weekend/today. Just everything and anything makes me arrrrgghh Angry Gotta love these hormones Hmm

redlaura · 14/02/2011 19:11

yoshi that's fantastic news. I'm absolutely delighted for you. Now put your feet up and enjoy the ride. Xxx

feralgirl · 14/02/2011 19:33

Hurrah yoshi, so pleased Grin

My scan was full of lies with DS; I'd worked out I was due the first week of December, the scan said end of December. Guess when DS was born? 3rd December! And we then had to go bloody miles to hospital instead of the birthing unit up the road and spend the night because, according to the stupid scan, DS was 3.5 weeks early!

I went to tell my boss that I was pg today so that he can start doing some planning (I'm a teacher so we're making the plans for September now). He said congratulations, he'd guessed already and he's already written the ad for my mat cover to make sure he gets someone decent in plenty of time! Shock

Liking the new Brew emoticon, although it doesn't make up for the no Wine. Just have to have some extra Biscuit Biscuit Biscuit instead!

redlaura · 14/02/2011 22:21

Mmmmmm wine

redlaura · 15/02/2011 11:48

Oh ladies. I actually puked this morning... an all time low as until now it has just been nausea. I'm exhausted, emotional and my skin has the tone and texture of a manky old dish cloth. i have a report due at 4pm and am sitting here at the table at home staring at the words and sipping lucozade and all I want to do is curl up with a hotwater bottle and wake up in 6 months time.

And the thing that gets to me the most is that you're not at any point allowed to express anything other than abundant joy when you're pregnant. When someone asks how you are and you tell them the truth they just say, "oh well, it's for a good cause" , which I am more than fully aware of but to be honest is not stopping me from hurling into the toilet.

Sorry for the rant and moan Sad Anyone else relating to this

Yours in a grump

RL

MandaHugNKiss · 15/02/2011 17:31

Dear Laura

God YES! I can relate completely No, YABVU, pregnancy is a time of joy, happiness and all things wonderful.

Grin

My nausea seems not too bad today - cue worrying!

redlaura · 15/02/2011 19:44

Grin manda!!! that made me smile. Don't worry, be glad you're not nauseous, i'm sure it's nothing more than the tectonic hormonal shifts we're all experience Smile. If there aren't any other symptoms just luxuriate in feeling better.

i finished my report, kept my dinner down and now that the football is on I think I'll retire to a candle lit bath with some chill out music.

night all.

Louplet · 15/02/2011 19:58

leannemummy We have the 3 kids under 5 scenario here too Smile When DC3 arrives, DS1 will be 4 years and DS2 will be 15 or 16 months. Should be interesting Wink Just glad DS1 will be going to school in September!

Nausea bit better for me now though still starving all the time and getting v tired.

Scan on 22nd so v excited about that.

Love to all x

yoshimigalloway · 16/02/2011 14:34

hello,

Today I woke up feeling exhausted, had to get up twice in the night for the loo and when awake had a foggy head. I seem to be bloated again, i feel inflated! At lunch time I went to debenhams to get measured for a bra. There was a lovely older lady who measured me and said that from 34FF i've gone up to 38FF nearly 38G So my cup size hasn't gone much and she suggested to leave it a few weeks but sold me a pack of three extenders for the back, only five pound. I was very inpressed that she didn't try to sell me a bra, she even gave me loads of advice saying that between 6 and 8 in the evening we carry more water so that explains why i can't wait to get my bra off when I get home!

Hope you're all doing well x
