i was over 20 weeks as well before I felt anything with my first. Cadmum - can't believe you've had a fall - it's actually quite scary as a grown up isn't it? Especially when preg. So sorry. Glad you are ok though.

cadmum - watch yourself on those stairs hun, really dont like the thought of you hurtling down stairways! sort of thing i do, mind you, i can be a right klutz.

Hi, I'm around - just feeling a bit flat. Got passed the exciting first weeks, the morning sickness, the 12 week scan, now used to the baby moving around, almost half way there - but still such a long way to go! My scan is on the 18th, so just waiting impatiently for that really.

And I did ALL of my christmas shopping online yesterday so I haven't even got that to do now. I've never been this organised before in my life, but the littlies have birthdays in November and December and I just wanted to get it all out the way. It took me less than an hour sitting on my bum in my kitchen, lol.

RP, cant believe youve done ALL your shopping!!
Done about half, thought I was organised!Was just thinking about what to put in my kids stockings actually.
Does seem a long wait for baby though doesnt it?!

RP-I can't believe you've done all your christmas shopping??!! I want mine done by end of October and have started, but not really touched the surface!
Romilly, I started feeling movement at 18wks with DS (but he was a tinker and never stopped kicking from that day on!) and about 16weeks with this one, but is far lighter and less often....but I know it can take longer...
Hope you all have a good, relaxing weekend...I too am feeling bored of all this pg lark...can't wait to get this baby! I hate this stage as it seems so far away until March!

RP - v v u've done all ur shopping - wanted to do mine this month but it's DH's b'day and the car mean's it's on hold till next month. (v expensive month then! lol) doubt me/DH will have much for ourselves.

pop - 21st for my scan - can't wait really looking forward to seeing bump again! just hoping and preying every thing's OK.

TB - yes nearly 20 weeks - isn't it fab!

cad - how did ur day go? hope u had a nice time out.

friz - lol, u sound like u live in our hosue with DIY! lol.

DH didn't get promoted, come to terms with it now- there's always next year and as long as bumps healthy and has enough we'll be fine.

have u guys seen babies r us have a sale on cotbeds - well the one we're after is half price to £99.99 and the changer is £50 (half price as well) so asking MIL if she'd go half with us. - out of intrest i've sold DH on the cot bed idea as i've told him the bed will last till baby's about 4/5 is that right? - obviously a new matress would prob be needed after a few years.

munz - just a thought on beds - our cot bed lasted til my dd was 3. however, if you plan to have another baby soonish, you may want to turf this one out before then so not get as much use. Kids beds for when 2-3 are really cheap - we got a gorgeous one from ikea for £70. (mattress was extra)

i might have to change the date of my scan as we might go on holiday - its meant to be 31 oct - halloween!!! spooky

I checked out the changing table, its nice. Might ask my MIL for it, although I might have to be really nice and suck up!

pop - that's why i've asked DH to do it! the arrezzo one on babies r us, I'm thinking the set, as she wants to get a 'big' item but cna't afford much and we're the same. I think it's a bargin. lol - he's asked MIL who seems keen but has to ask FIL if it's ok as i'm not sure how long the offers on for.

Wasn't sure until today and was most definitely not wind . Got to wait until nov 1st for my 20 week scan-seems like ages away but I'm sure it will soon fly by esp as we're moving house in a week's time. I'll go and sit quietly in the corner again now

Lizzylou, I know what you mean! although now I'm slowly growing I'm starting to feel more pregnant! now totally into my fat gear....no Munz n Rom I don't know how many sheets and will not even go near the bog roll until end of next week

My next scan is on Tues, Oct 25. I am not sure about finding out the sex... Still need to think about it.

Romilly, i am so excited that you may have felt movement! I certainly felt it in bed the first few times as well! I really wish that your scan was before mine. If you knew the sex of your baby I might be more tempted to find out mine. I just find that life has so few surprises that it is fun to guess for the whole 9 months.

Do you have a guess? Does anyone other than RP and Munzie? I think that I am having a girl but then again when the sonographer asked me if I wanted to know the gender at my last scan I started to wonder if that meant she could see a penis...

It's such a personal thing, isn't it? Some people love the idea and some people hate it. (Finding out the sex, I'm talking about, lol). I must admit, I'm tempted not to this time, as I have one of each anyway, but I know I will probably cave in and ask at the last minute. I would love to not tell family until the birth though, but again, I've not managed that yet.
