Wow congrats on all the scan results, fab news Grin

Welcome Bprincess!!

I've been really ill with a horrendous cold/ headache/ sore muscles/ backache (so bad that I couldn't drive)/ exhaustion/ sickness........gosh I sound like I'm whingeing!! I'm rather fed up as I was just starting to feel ok.

Anyhow, finished work for Christmas so yay!!

Hope you're all well tonight :)

bananarama05 · 16/12/2010 21:40

goodvibrations same same same :( had one good day at the end of last week and this ones been a seemingly never ending migraine/cold/sore muscles/backache fest. I am whingeing, and will openly admit :)

v jealous on finishing work, 1 more week for me however i can't see it being very productive!

moomin156 · 16/12/2010 21:44

you poor things.......some of you have been having a really tough time. ive been so lucky......everyone keeps telling me how well i look and have been for weeks.....good makeup to hide the bags i reckon.
Hope you all feel better soon. Dont suffer though, have some paracetamol if you need it

KaraStarbuckThrace · 16/12/2010 22:18

Millie - glad you and your DH have worked out a reasonable compromise :)

Wonderful news on all the scans, and welcome BPrincess!

Barbie - fingers crossed your manager has good news for you (i.e he is sacking the old witch cow bag).

I am pleased, weighed myself yesterday and I have only gained 3lbs in about 4 weeks - phew!!
Really worried about putting on loads of weight - I simply can't afford to as I am already way too heavy!

GoodVibrations · 16/12/2010 22:37

banarama we can be whingey together then!!! Can I add slightly deaf and a stiff neck to the list??!! Sorry you're feeling rough too. I just think it's one thing after another. When am I going to bloom exactly???

moomin thanks and I hear the makeup tip - I have touch eclait on the christmas list as current makeup just isn't cutting it, I generally look rough most of the time now!

I am laughing at the boob posts. I am small-of-boob normally (b cup) but have giant cannonballs when pg (already stretching a D cup at 17 weeks and they are v heavy!!). It's one of the few symptoms I like!! (although not being able to shave under my arms in late pg as armits were full of boob was rather annoying!)

good vibrations....add some fake tan into your face moisturiser, every other day and it keeps the ghastly paleness away without being brown!

I am finding i am becoming increasing hairy......always have been and have to have lip/chin/eyebrows threaded every few weeks but went today as they are becoming so strong....they broke the thread several times. Not a nice look......will look like a bearded lady if i become bed/house bound later on in the pg

MainlyMaynie · 16/12/2010 23:27

Congratulations to everyone with scans today, it's great to see so much good news.

I got my triple test results, I can't believe them - they're 1 in 50,000. I didn't even know it was possible to get odds that low and I was expecting something in the hundreds as I'm 34. Has anyone else had a result like that?

cameli · 17/12/2010 07:13

My results were 1 in 9600 & I'm 35. Not bad for us 'old' birds!

KaraStarbuckThrace · 17/12/2010 08:36

Leroy - I also have a hacking cough, I sound like someone with a 60-a-day habit, except I don't smoke!! There was a thread about it so it is clearly going around. I think we are quite limited in what we can take for it.

No coloured phlegm though.

Morning everyone.....
very jealous of everyones good nuchal results :)

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 09:54

Hope you are all feeling better soon.....there are really nasty coughs and colds going around and sounds like you are unlucky enough to have one. Just what you dont need when you are pg, take your paracatemaol though if you need it :(

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 09:55

kara....thats a good word 'phlegm'

Moog72 · 17/12/2010 11:07

Hi everyone - just wanted to say congratulations to everyone on the lovely scan and really low nuchal results! Ithought mine was good at 1:3500 but 1:50,000 is amazing!!

Who else is still wiating for their 12 week scan? Can't be many more left??

I have just realised, I didn't feel sick or have indigestion all day yesterday - hurray!

nomoreheels · 17/12/2010 11:17

Hi all, I'm due June 3rd and I have finally got round to joining this thread...

Everything has been going pretty well, the 12 week scan was fine, all blood tests etc have been fine. I'm participating in some research at the hospital so got an extra check up this week, and she let me listen to the heartbeat with the sonicaid. It was ace and I was laughing and tearful at the same time. Grin

I've been feeling pretty good the last while, but I've developed serious pain in my left hip. (I'm going to see my community MV on Tuesday so will ask about physio then.)

And yesterday & today I feel rubbish - all worn out and feeling a bit beat up. I've read that my baby is probably starting a major growth spurt right about now, so I'm guessing that's why?

Anyhow - happy holidays to everyone here!

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 11:18

Hoorah Moog......lets hope it continues

bananarama05 · 17/12/2010 11:20

goodvibrations I wailed the exact same thing at my friend at work yesterday. His fiance is a couple of weeks behind me (due june 28th I think) and as i sat there taking paracetamol dose 2 with a glass of lucozade I practically sobbed "whennnnnnn does this glowing sh*t start then?!" poor boy gets it at home and at work bless him Grin Hope you're feeling better today too!

Leroy I'm a little Envy of your good work on the pelvic floors, they've become one of those things I know I should do but haven't got round to yet like hoovering behing the fridge :)

moomin my hairy belly has been a subject of concern this week. I did wonder if the fact I keep pointing it out to dp in disgust may be a contributing factor to him not willingly coming near me these days! Grin

Hows everyone nipples these days, we haven't had an update in a while :)

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 13:06

banana my nipples are fine thankyou...its my boobs that hurt. They get strange tingling sensations and a bit flaky skinned and i think they are bigger but cant say they are causing me any issues at all Xmas Grin

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 14:18

Just to make you all a little bit envious......having a baking day. Chicken pie for tomorrow and 1 for freezer, shortbread biscuits and now about to start bakewell slices!!!! May do some chocolate muffins for freezer too.....Xmas Grin
I am feeling very proud of myself as i have also tidied and cleaned the house, You can tell DH is home tonight for 3 weeks ...LOL

Moog72 · 17/12/2010 14:35

oo chicken pie - yum. You are obviously a domestic goddess moomin :)

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 14:48

Try to be...... ( i buy the pastry though Blush), i love cooking and baking but although i havent been suffering i just havent been bothered so making up for it today.
Had a kitchenaid as a wedding present and i absolutely love it. Makes wonderful cakes!!

takethatlady · 17/12/2010 14:57

Jealous of the baking Xmas Envy. I like cooking but my kitchen is 5' square (really!) and I'm still not really enjoying my food at the moment so not a lot of cooking has been going on here!

Just looking at my scan report and it says nuchal 1.3mm so I've lost a mm, whoop whoop. It also says the placenta is 'anterior low', which the sonographer never mentioned. Now getting scared after google reveals this isn't a great position, though it usually moves up. Anyone else got this?!

Moog72 · 17/12/2010 15:04

takethatlady - I didn't get to find out position of placenta although wish i'd asked because the position of the placenta in my last pregnancy meant I didn't feel movement until really late (22 weeks). I don't know about the low anterior position though sorry..

moomin - I want chicken pie!!

I am 14+3 today and am wondering if I'm feeling movement - definitely a fluttery feeling but I have been getting a LOT of wind so it may just be that... who else is feeling movement??

moomin156 · 17/12/2010 15:22

moog its the Jamie Oliver best ckicken and Leek pie.....except i cheat and buy a cooked chicken from Morrisons!!!! Its super easy and very tasty.
Im 15+4 and the other night ( 04:30 actually) i had some strange popping feelings in my tummy but again it could have just been wind as i havent felt them again and as its my first i have read its far too early.
The sonographer also didnt mention the placenta position and i didnt thnk to ask........
Bakewell slice in the oven now.......:)
