I second Moomin TTL put your dress on and have a wee party at home. Got any of that ribena left? Xmas Wink

By the way, the shopping was fine. I've ordered some train track off of Amazon for DS and at least some of it should arrive before christmas. DH and I will get each other something next year when the cashflow situation is better.

NoMoreSnowPlease · 16/12/2010 17:56

Actually if I did take a swing at someone I'd probably just hit myself. Xmas Hmm

moomin156 · 16/12/2010 18:01

id just fall over......my balance is rubbish at the minute

jasmine51 · 16/12/2010 18:25

jingle - I do pg yoga. Funnily enough my yoga teacher (who is pg qualified) is also pg and due on the same day as me...although shes the size of a stick insect whose swallowed a pea and I am a walrus who has swallowed another walrus.
I am having to adapt some of the moves now as it is too uncomfortable to lay on my front..boobs get in the way. The classes end tonight and they might not be carrying on after xmas so I have got hold of a pg yoga dvd. Much as I hate putting on a tracky and going out on a cold night, I do find the yoga beneficial. Mind you, it is the laying down and meditating bit thats my favourite!

Clarkiee · 16/12/2010 18:45

Had another scan today. The sonographer thought they were boys Grin(will check again in new year) I thought they were! I should have another scan in two weeks but they can't fit me in because of Christmas Angry One twin is smaller than the other but not enough to worry about it at this stage.

milliemuffin · 16/12/2010 18:53

Sorry about the late post ladies but it's been a busy day! Good but busy :)

DP apologised first thing this morning and we had a chat and agreed we will pay off what we can and then maybe get a small tv in the january sales. We wanted a big one for the lounge but we've agreed to get a little one for now which can then go into our bedroom when we can afford a bigger one for downstairs. We do need one soon ish as every day the picture goes on ours and we have to get up and the wiggle the lead in the back.

But anyway!!!

Scan went great!

We were booked in for the nuchal scan so was prepared to be there 20mins like last time with DD but baby was just lying there chilling out in the perfect position so they got the measurement straight away and we were out within 5 minutes! Measurement by the way was 0.9 and CRL is 5.2 which sounds small compared to some other results I've seen but DD was only 6lb 8 so hopefully this one will take after her!

My mum wasn't back til late today and her and my dad are out all day tomorrow but we want to tell them in person so might have to wait til saturday before we go public. We did however tell DP's parents or rather DS did, he was so sweet! "Mummy is going to have another baby, it's in her tummy"!! He's only 3 so we didn't think he'd really understand but he was great!

Gotta dash out now for dinner with some friends, I did want to tell them but not before my mum so they'll have to wait. It's a 20min drive so I'll not be drinking anyway.

Congrats to everyone else who had good scans today!

Sorry again for my moaning last night, I did feel better at the time for getting it off my chest, I just feel bad for moaning about DP as he does work hard and I feel doubly bad that you probably now think really badly of him which isn't fair, was just my emotions getting the better of me.

Forgot to say they've put me back a day so EDD is now 1/7 but DS was 11 days early and DD 14 days early so I'm hopeful for a mid-june baby, just no earlier as my birthday is the 5th june!

OP posts:
moomin156 · 16/12/2010 19:01

congrats millie on scan and glad you and DP have talked. Dont worry about moaning on here and no one thinks badly of him as we dont know him.....we only know how you were feeling at that precise moment in time.

Good news clarkie.....gald everything is going well

milliemuffin · 16/12/2010 19:02

Typical! Just been to the loo and quite a bit of brown discharge. Why is pregnancy soooooooooooooo stressful!! xx

OP posts:
79monica · 16/12/2010 19:03

Great news on the scans! Smile

Someone was asking about bump bands a few pages back. My trousers were really digging in today at work so at lunch I went and got a pack of bump bands from Mothercare and then spent the whole afternoon with the buttons on my trousers undone but with no-one being able to tell, bliss! Grin

I don't feel big enough for any maternity clothes yet and so I haven't even dared try any on so hopefully the bump band will sort me out for the next few weeks until I feel justified to look at maternity clothes.

I am also very happy because I got a negative result for the possible nasty urine infection in my re-test so I don't have to have 2 days of IV antibiotics (I googled the name which the MW put in my notes and it said that it is resistant to almost all antibiotics which is why is can only be treated with IV).

Now I just need the snow to melt and not be there tomorrow so that I can still go to the office Christmas party........ fingers crossed!

79monica · 16/12/2010 19:05

millie I have had that a few times this week, and never had it before. I wasn't worrying too much because it was brown and not red and so therefore not fresh blood, and also because there was so little of it, but I keeping an eye on things and if it gets worse I'm going to give my MW a quick call.

petitech · 16/12/2010 19:19

jbells I found a pg yoga class which I was planning on joining in the New Year. Only thing is it's £32 for five sessions and I'm also maybe of a gym/health club where they also do yoga, pilates etc and have a pool so I might just give those standard classes a go first. The girl who runs them is qualified in pg yoga anyway and mentioned to me that there are a few girls pg in the club so they might start doing some specific classes. Result!

Clarkiee · 16/12/2010 19:23

I was asking about bump bands monica defo going to get one this weekend. I'm glad they have them at M&S. I live in a big town that has had a Mothercare for as long as I remember, well not anymore it shut down a few months ago Angry bad timing.

bananarama05 · 16/12/2010 19:45

petitech I want to come and live near you. There's two pg yoga classes local to me, one had no 2011 classes on her website so I emailed to ask when she was starting again and found out she's pg too so is stopping after xmas and the other is on an evening I work :( Gutted I well fancied trying it!

clarkiee New look, asos and a few other places do bump bands too, I was looking the other week but neer got round to buying any.

I've been in bed since i got home this eve, feel like I'm coming down with something really nasty. Can't figure out if its flu like or what. I feel like all my nerve endings are on edge (rubbish description sorry but the only way i can think to describe it) and everything just seems to hurt. DP won't be home til gone 9pm and I can't bring myself to cook :( I offically suck at this pg business, seem to have been ill and moaning for the past 16 weeks!!

On a positive note, congrats on all the scans!!

milliemuffin · 16/12/2010 19:50

I got half way to dinner but felt so rough I turned round and came home. Upset stomach, not what people want at a meal so early night for me. Xx

takethatlady · 16/12/2010 19:51

Thanks ladies. Got a Chinese (well, a fake Tesco one) and watching Million Pound Drop ... saddo that I am. No dress on but I'll wear it before Christmas is out. I will, God damn it! Still got that Ribena nomore and am sooo tempted to put in the vodka you suggested!

Congrats millie - as others have said, sure the brown discharge is nothing at all to worry about.

Glad I didn't go as the snow is still coming! First we've had here, but it's always worse where I work ...

Baublepink · 16/12/2010 19:52

Hi all! Great to hear of all the positive scans.

Well ours went well too. Baby was in a good position which helped for measurements etc. Nuchal is 1.0mm. Even though I've seen scans before with having DD, it was still amazing to see it again and think that there really is a new little baby in there Smile. Due date 25th June, have added myself to list (finally!)

I did ask if the sonographer thought it was a girl or boy and she said leant towards girl! (but I asked her in advance not to sound too definite because although it's fairly accurate there's still a margin for error so ddidn't want to spend the next 8 weeks bonding with "him" or "her" to find out it is actually the opposite, if that makes sense!) Anyway, very excited about it possibly being another pink one. but would equally love it to be a blue one as I think little boys so squidgy and gorgeous Smile

Going to make something to eat now but back later to catch up properly on everyone's news.

Millie - glad you and DH have made it up. Don't worry, here is the place you can have a moan, nobody thinks badly of your DH (well I don't anyway) because everyone has an off day here and there, I know I do, doesn't make them ogres Smile. The fact you have talked about it today and come to a good compromise shows you have a good relationship. Lots of others would have just sulked for days!

Oh cross post millie. Sickness is another sign you're absolutely fine, I'm sure :)

What a bunch of party poopers we are tonight! DH can't even celebrate as he's got a ton of marking before tomorrow. Rubbish!

But we got 5 scan pics for free (for no reason other than the lady was so nice and said not to worry!) so we've got £10 burning a hole in our pockets .. and will probably spend it on £30 of eating out we can't afford tomorrow :)

takethatlady · 16/12/2010 19:55

Congrats bauble! Can't believe everyone's nuchal measurements were so low!

Great day on here ... sure there are some fellow scanners missing though ...

moomin156 · 16/12/2010 19:57

There is 42 on the stats list now......anyone else not added yet???

What a busy busy month June is going to be for the health care professionals........

BarbieLovesKen · 16/12/2010 20:00

Milliemuffin I dont think badly of your dp at all!! Your a couple - your going to have your stresses in life and your rows - if you didnt you would be seriously abnormal!!! I do know what you mean though, myself and dh have some whoppers, I feel like I hate him and am so angry with him at times but its gone within a few days and hours and it really puts me off having a good moan about him because all in all I do love him, hes a good 'ol skin and I dont want people thinking ill of him.
I had brownish discharge last week and all is perfect today, I second what monica has said.

PML at jasmine being a walrus who swallowed a walrus

Have to go study so flying by (and thank you so much knackered) to tell you all that scan went fantastically well, what appears to be an active, healthy baby bopping about in there. So happy and relieved.

To be honest, Im having a crazy stressful time with the whole work situation and have bearly stopped crying for a day and half now!!! baby is perfect - puts things in perspective. That said, got a phone call from a manager tonight who wants to meet at 10am in the as he may have a solution (as things are going to get very serious as of Monday) please cross your fingers and toes as the stress is really affecting me and I feel depression flaring its ugly head slightly.

Huge congratulations to other on their scans. Am thinking of catherine now....

Will be miracle if I pass this exam tomorrow.. cross those fingers again Grin xxx thanks again for all your well wishing for today - means alot

BPrincess · 16/12/2010 20:05

Evening all! Just joined, and may I join your lovely June list (even though strictly speaking due date is 30/5)? At first they said 5 June, but at the scan last month they changed their minds...

It's my first, I'm 41, and it was totally unplanned, so we're still getting our heads round it really. So far so good though!

Did anyone else's scan take AGES? I was in there at least an hour as baby was in the wrong position, then wriggling around and all sorts. And they took heaps of differnt measurements. But in the end was glad to report a Downs risk of 1 in 970, which they say is the same as a 26 year old. I was SO pleased with that!

Isn't June just the best time to have a baby! So glad it's not due in this hideous weather. I'm dreaming of laying on the lawn with my newborn in the sunshine...

ps. Would someone pls add me to the list.

Thanks!

BarbieLovesKen · 16/12/2010 20:15
