TTL shopping for yourself is never a pointless activity :) I'm glad to hear you have thought of something constructive to do while waiting Grin

Welcome spg and autumn :)

Having a nightmare finding maternity clothes, being a short arse makes it all rather difficult! Oh well, I might just cut a hole in a bin bag for the duration . . . .that way people will be amazed with my post pregnancy body and I will have looked like an orange for a few months :)

KaraStarbuckThrace · 15/12/2010 19:29

SPG - I am fat - and all my weight is on my tummy - I really do look like I ate all the pies :( But the radiographer had no issue with my 12 week scan (though mine was at 13 weeks!).
I also had a m/c in July.

TTl - your boss sounds lovely :)

Crumble - loved your scan pic!

Good luck to everyone having scans tomorrow!

leeroy 9/10 times.....my DH would be glad of that 1 chance. Mine are a full nono.....even if i am in the mood for anything else, the boobs stay covered, protected and in full harness mode LOL
I can see my DH being at the baby end in the delivery, he'll have forgotten about me and be far too interested in the technicalities at the other end!

Hi all. Thanks so much for all the well wishes for the scan tomorrow I really appreciate it. I've not been on here much because I have suddenly cold feet as the scan draws nearer that writing about the pregancy is tempting fate in some way Sad I know it doesn't work like that but there's been lots of good news and a fair share of bad news on the thread so I have got into a "can't take anything for granted" state of mind.

Anyway it's tomorrow at 10.15 Smile. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

My boobs are getting enormous too. They were a generous C before but now they are heading for E Shock. I should be grateful but I just feel like a walking pair of boobs! I am trying to disguise them a bit. Hopefully when the bump gets going it'll balance them out a bit.

Hi to all the newcomers too and I will trawl through the last 100 pages I have missed to see what you lot have all been up to Xmas Grin

Good luck to all the other scan-ees tomorrow too!!

milliemuffin · 15/12/2010 20:26

I'm now absolutely dreading tomorrows scan for absolute fear it might be twins. I know we wouldn't be able to cope financially, emotionally or physically. I know I'm probably getting too worked up over it but I really have no idea what I'll do if it's two. :(

milliemuffin · 15/12/2010 20:29

Really emotional tonight, sorry xx

Millie I was worried about twins too for very similar reasons. Most likely you've just the one on board though.

Does it help to know I have a sore arse and can hardly walk?! I've managed to make my PBS flare up.

Clarkiee · 15/12/2010 20:47

millie I'm sure you'd be a little bit excited too if it was twins Wink

My boobs were a c before now they are a dd with my stomach sticking out so much they don't look that different to me. The nibbles are bigger but the area around it (is it the areoa or something) is much bigger- Confused

Had the infant Christmas performance tonight at school- soooo adorable I felt so proud of them all (and I'm just the teacher) Grin

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 20:50

My DH wanted it to be twins but thank goodness it wasnt......i know how you feel though millie. Im sure if it is you will cope, twins are a real gift and we are all very good at adapting emotionally and physically to deal with situations.

nurse whats PBS

Baublepink · 15/12/2010 21:01

Twins would be fab! We all learn to adapt to what we get. I think Clarkiee very lucky to have two lovely babies on the way and it's double the fun! They will likely be great friends for each other. I wished with all my heart that I had a twin when I was younger as I often felt alone and my older DB found me too babyish to play with no matter how much older I got, he was always older than me! It would be great to have a sibling at the same age, enjoying the same games with you.

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 21:06

i agree bauble my sister was always 4 years older than me and that was too bigger age gap, its only when we got to our 20's that we became friends.....couldnt do without her now Grin

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 21:08

LOL...she still is 4 years older obviously

BarbieLovesKen · 15/12/2010 21:22

Hi all,

The very, very best of luck to everyone whos being scanned tomorrow too!.

Just wondering, I will be 16+5, do I need a full bladder or am I ok by now (cant remember)?

Baublepink · 15/12/2010 21:27

Aw, good luck Barbie. I'm sure you'll be fine and you'll be back here this time tomorrow night telling us about a great scan with a lovely wriggly bean in there.

What time are you in? I'll be thinking about you, especially because you'll be going on your own.

BarbieLovesKen · 15/12/2010 21:31

Oh Baublepink, bless your cotton socks - thank you so much. Your very kind Smile

BarbieLovesKen · 15/12/2010 21:41

Oooh thanks for that Moomin Grin. Am so excited for everyone....

milliemuffin · 15/12/2010 21:47

Twins would be fantastic IF I were a first time mum but I have a 3.5year old DS and a 1yo DD so as it is I'm broke, tired and rowing with DP who's just stormed out. Best of luck ladies xx

OP posts:
moomin156 · 15/12/2010 21:48

millie hope you and DP make it up for tomorrow

BarbieLovesKen · 15/12/2010 21:52

Are you ok Millie?

santamaxx · 15/12/2010 21:56

Good luck for all the scans tomorrow!
leroy I've had those exact pains - I posted about them earlier in the thread (or the previous one) - they seem to be a normal thing though so I wouldn't worry Smile

I've still not been invited for the flu jab - not sure what's going on with that...

milliemuffin try not to worry - if it is twins, you'll find that people are generous and give you lots of stuff I'm sure to ease the financial demands. Also, you really will cope with them. I thought I might be having twins and was a little disappointed when I discovered that I wasn't - we're never happy are we?

milliemuffin · 15/12/2010 21:59

We have VERY different views when it comes to money. We owe on the mortgage, electricity, council tax yet he wants to buy a new tele. His life won't change if it's one or three babies, he'll just have to work harder as he's self employed, he has agreed with me on that. He was going to the pub tonight anyway but he stormed out saying he hated me for being selfish (because I'd prefer to pay the bills but he thinks he deserves a tele). He never thinks or worries about stuff until it falls in his lap and then it's left for me to deal with because he works and I don't so I have 'all day' to make calls.

Both kids asleep so I'm going to join them.

Night all, sorry for my moaning, really do hope everyone gets on ok tomorrow xxx
