Morning spg and welcome! I don't know if I can help much, but the radiographer couldn't get a great view in my 12 week scan last week cos baby was all curled up, so they couldn't measure very easily, so she sent me off to the toilet to wee; I can't understand why yours didn't do that if your bladder was too full!

They did get some measurements in the end, and we saw enough to know that our baby's heart was beating, he / she was healthy, and kicking her legs. I would try not to worry too much, as I'm sure of there was real cause for concern with your baby's health they would have told you. Maybe they could measure the nuchal sac but not the baby's limb lengths and total length from the position it was in? Maybe they are calling you back because they couldn't get your due date as accurate as possible from the baby's measurements.

On a me-me-me tip, I am still suffering from ms, it was well and truly over by now with ds (13 weeks today), so am feeling bleurgh and Sad. I am also panicking about bump popping out over Christmas and not having any clothes to fit. We have a retail park nearby with a Mamas and Papas (don't have to brave the centre), so am going back again today to pick up something... anything.... to tide me over until the madness of the sales is over.

Hey autumn and spg! Congratulations! Agree with supersunny spg - I'm sure she's just being ultra-cautious and it's nothing to worry about. But I'd go with a list of questions at your next appointment and make sure they're answered.

Hope everyone's preparing for the snow again!

I've also got my 12wk scan tomorrow, 12pm! Have to pickup DS from school at 1 so hope it's on time! We're taking DD with us but she's only 1 and 2days so she won't have a clue what's going on.

Best of luck to everyone having scans xxx

Xmas Grin leroy. OR should that be Xmas Sad? I'm sure this is coming to me. It's only in the last couple of days I've noticed I need the loo immediately after a drink. I sneeze a lot, too.

I haven't had the flu jab. Has anyone had their blood test results back from the doctor? (I think you have them around 8 weeks - I had mine at 9 weeks- they're for German measles and stuff). I never got mine, and I can't ring at the times they let you ring for blood tests because I'm usually working. Although I have forgotten a few times, too Xmas Blush

millie happy birthday to your DD! And good luck tomorrow. Mine's at 11.30 Smile

8rubberduckies · 15/12/2010 15:13

So exciting all those scan tomorrow Grin Good luck all of you, can't wait to hear the news. Bet you're glad yours is early supersunny, don't have to spend the day amusing yourself with pointless things like tidying the house :)

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 17:02

I know that you will all be so nervous and feeling so anxious.....then when you seee your bean moving and that little heart beat you will all be in tears like we were. It was so emotional and amazing. The midwife said.....just make sure the waiting room knows its happy tears!!!! So excited for you all.

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 17:04

Ive had a lovely day talking babies.......and pregnancy, and fears, looking at prams on internet......and talking about all the stuff we do but in RL! My friennds DD is 6 months and they are just TTC again........:)

takethatlady · 15/12/2010 17:15

Thanks moomin! Glad you had a lovely day :)

knackered I am going to buy bras before the scan. Yesterday I wore a bra I bought probably on the day I conceived (!) and it basically covered my nipples and squeezed the rest out of the sides. My boobs looked like my Yorkshire puddings - all squished and misshapen.

And I need new make-up, and I want some new shoes, so I am going to drag DH around the shops treating myself to stuff and giving him the I-will-get-scared-about-the-scan-if-I-don't-buy-this-now look Grin

That's if I've stopped being pointlessly-angry-wife-from-hell by then Wink

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 17:26

TTL how on earth have you managed to still be in your normal bras......i was in Maternity bras at about 7 weeks as mine had doubled in size.....well not quite but they are mahoosive!

takethatlady · 15/12/2010 17:46

Basically I have one bra that was too big to begin with and I've been living in that, and the days I work from home or it's the weekend have been washing it. Even that is too small, though tbh my boobs went up a cup size by 5 weeks and have just stayed there!

Double in size! I am jealous Xmas Envy Mine were a B to begin with and I'm guessing they're still only a C Xmas Sad

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 17:59

well mine are a whopping FF.........wouldnt wish them on anyone

jbells · 15/12/2010 18:32

moomin know how u feel at 5ft1 mine are a E-f cup getting such a bad back lately :(, i am always jelous of people with B-c cup i wud love to have small boobs

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 18:37

So would I jbells........i would love to be able to wear vest tops without having to wear scaffolding underneath and thats when im not pg...... DH loves them though Xmas Grin

jbells · 15/12/2010 18:42

and strappy tops in the summer i wud love to wear, and little triangle bikini's and low cut tops that look sexy not slutty lol, and for strappy dresses to fit me round the bust aswell as the waist, the list is endless hehe Grin

moomin156 · 15/12/2010 18:46

I find halter neck tankinis the best for my boobs.........dont do dresses but its definitely the summer tops that are an issue.......my friend today who was an E cup pre pregnancy and now stopped BF, her boobs have disappeared. Fingers crossed eh!

MainlyMaynie · 15/12/2010 18:56

spg, the sonographer at my scan had some problems seeing things to start with due to the baby's position (standing on his head most of the time). She was really good and spent ages making sure she could tick off as much as possible. She also had me rolling over, coughing and jumping up and down to try and change the position! (it worked in the end). I guess from the position your baby was in she may not have been able to check things like the bladder?

I'm sure it's more likely that she wasn't able to check everything she wanted than that there's a problem.

Good luck to everyone who has scans tomorrow.
