Very quiet here.

Everyone happy with x factor result? My guess for one erection was completely wrong (as usual...). I likes Rebecca alot but tbh I'm glad she came runner up as I think she can pick and choose a bit more what she does and has less media pressure on her.

I relented and finally had to ask DH to help me with shaving my legs and cutting my toe nails . I could have reached most bits but my bad back just makes it tricky and painful. I have reflexology tomorrow and don't want to put the poor woman through dodgily cut leg hair/toe nails Blush

Wish me good luck in trying to get through to my GP again this morning on the phone for my illusive indigestion medication

Thanks for the primark advice re: knickers/nighties but no way I'm braving it until mid january - there's not a car park that close to my local one and the thought of walking miles due to no spaces with christmas/new year maniacs I will not even be attempting.

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 13/12/2010 10:46

Morning all.I attempted to count the wees to report to my gp this week,i got to 4 at 3.30 when dd1 woke up puking so sleep ended there.Dh went to work knackered,i told him it was good practice haha.
DD had been to panto and out for a carvery with my sis but think its a bug,i have had to come out to the pc whilst i eat my toast as she cant stand food.
I felt thrilled about Mat,i was screaming, its the most excitemnt ive had for months.
DD and dh have been putting my socks on for weeks now,i do my leg hair in shower but it is hardly growing so not too bad,i did my 70s style pubic region the other day it was exhausting all that twisting and turning, dont think i will bother again.
Angels,i went to pri yesterday and had areally bad breathless attack in there, had to leav and go home, car was few mins walk away, got to my Mums in tears.

snowangels1 · 13/12/2010 11:01

Oh ledkr hope you DD feels better soon - she's only just had a bug as well hasn't she? Last time I went to primark it was really hot and airless in there - I felt a bit in need of air then and I didn't even suffer from that as a problem, so I can imagine it might make you quite bad.

Just spoke to GP and she is refusing to prescribe me anything other than gaviscon Xmas Hmm Xmas Confused Xmas Sad. Says nothing else is really that safe in pg, which I'm certain isn't true. Tbh I think she just doesn't want to bother looking it up/checking and gaviscon is her usual failsafe she prescribes. She sounded manic busy and just trying to get rid of me. Sigh. So I'll just keep on suffering and paying for my own gaviscon advanced I guess. At least I can now go to the loo as have been hanging on incase I missed the GP calling me again Xmas Wink

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 13/12/2010 11:29

dreadfull attitude from gp.Ring nhs direct and ask re rinatidine? It is safe i know lots of people taking it.
DD has not been to school since last week, she has had cough and cold like me,she was going back today, they are having xmas lunch tomorrow :(
I had a bit of a moan to the receptionist at my drs earlier, she was struggling to fit me in and said everyone thinks they need to come with colds.I agreed and said we have had a cold for over a week now and dd is puking but wouldnt dream of seeing gp.

jackfrost · 13/12/2010 12:18

Really feel for you all suffering with heart burn ad SPD, I think I get a trapped nerve every now and then in my lower back, can't get up sometimes, very painful but goes away! Ledkr - every 30 minutes for the loo, that can't be fun! I am up at 23:00, 02:00, 04:00 and 06:00, every night, have been for weeks! Apparently this will most likely end up as feeding times!

Got bugger all sleep last night as DH was snoring like an animal all bloody night! Went in the spare room for a few hours but couldn't gt comfortable, went back to my bed to find he had the entire duvet! Was so close to holding pillow over his face![embarrassed]

Got another scan and cons appointment Friday, 5 weeks to go until they say they will deliver! Might just get a date on Friday!!!

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 13/12/2010 12:28

gosh they are some god damn frequent feeding times jack!!I am having to bottle feed this time-due to the mastectomy-and am hoping this means she may go abit longer.Must admit having been up half the night with dd brought back some fairly unpleasant memories of no sleep etc.
Yes i felt a little murderous during the night as i heaved my pg self out of bed for the millionth time to empty sick bowl and see to dd who was in our room on a matress on the floor.DH was just snoozing away but to be fair dd did tell him to"go away i want Mummy"
Are your twins both head down?

PDR · 13/12/2010 12:37

Hi everyone,

Another one who's been up most of the night here! DS is poorly with some kind of nasty bug - had a temp of 40.3 last night even after I had given Nurofen. Called OOO doc in the end who didn't seem bothered and gave him Calpol and Nurofen together. DH has now come down with the same thing so both are in bed snoozing. DS's temp is now normal - slightly raised but he's still quite under the weather and wouldn't be surprised if temp returns tonight.

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 13/12/2010 12:45

horrible isnt it?I am selfishly praying i dont get it as i have so many other things wrong with me it may be the final straw.Pg seems to have flown by but i seem to have had "7wks to go" for ages now.Its just not cuttig it with me tbh.I wish dd would snooze so i dont have to watch the disney channel.

PDR · 13/12/2010 13:02

ledkr DS requires playhouse disney to be on at all times when he is awake so I feel your pain Wink he doesn't even watch it really but if I switch channels he objects [spoiled brat emoticon!]

Also crossing fingers I don't get it as we can't ALL be ill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 13/12/2010 14:03

yes i was planning on the hills a bit of dog the bounty hunter and his wifes unfeasable breasts and some e news, bloody hannah montana and selina gomez grrr

jackfrost · 13/12/2010 14:26

Ledkr, if they do end up as feeding times I'm assuming my girls think they will be feeding at different times - oh no, the sleeping one WILL be woken!!!

Yes both head down, have been since 20 weeks!!! They told me at 24 weeks that 'twin 1' will be out first and had started to engage!Shock

jackfrost · 13/12/2010 14:35

For any with kids already that haven't seen this try this link www.portablenorthpole.tv fill in the details and you get a personalised message from Santa to your child, note you can also do one for adults!!!Xmas Smile

snowangels1 · 13/12/2010 15:20

Thanks for that jackfrost - just sent a santa message to my (grown up) sister!!

debka · 13/12/2010 19:48

So weeing times become feeding times jackfrost - may have to stop drinking altogether so I NEVER wee in the night! I love my sleep!

My 'possible' SPD has gone from not that bad to really not very nice now. Walked round sains this morning and had to rest for 1/2 hr when we got home before I could put the shopping away. I find myself moaning and groaning all day, DH commented on it this evening, said I never moaned this much with DD. But I wasn't on and off the floor all day then, and didn't have a 20mo to look after. Glad I'm seeing the mw this week.

DH has been utterly rubbish today, am v jealous of you with sympathetic OHs. Don't know if he gets the fact that being pg is bloody hard work and painful now as well, but he is not treating me with any kind of care or consideration.

OK moan over, hope everyone else is ok, and you all get a better night sleep tonight.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 13/12/2010 23:09

Hello everyone, insomnia still here, ggrrr!

So sorry to hear about ill DCs, really don't know how I'd cope with that on top of feeling rubbish, you have my sympathy and respect Grin. Hope they're feeling better really soon and you get to reclaim your televisions! I am so fed up with late night tv, it's rubbish!

Really wanted Rebecca to win but you're right angels about her getting more freedom from coming second so that's good. Matt was good though and felt for him having such a bad cold and having to sing.

ledkr can't believe you have to wee every 30 mins, that's ridiculous! What about during the day? Can you get any rest then? I'm trying to have a lie down each aternoon even if it's just for 20 mins as so tired. Got to the point now when it feels as if I'm in some kind of twilight zone as so tired.

angels please find out about the other medication, your gp may be busy but she has a duty of care towards you and it really isn't on to let you suffer.

jackfrost, how exciting! must let us know your date if/when you get it Smile Sounds as if they're all ready in there!

TMI ALERT
OH tried the perineal massage on me on Saturday night and it was hilarious. All the mystery has finally evaporated now as my piles were on show Blush Blush Blush. Not sure if it's going to help but really hope it does. Was quite uncomfortable at points. Very funny though, I was reading the instructions to him as he was doing it and I kept correcting him, think he got the hang of it in the end and we're going to try again.....My advice for anyone thinking about trying this is to make sure you have a warm bath beforehand so you're as relaxed as possible.

I bought some knickers from m&s just in a couple of sizes bigger and they are a god send! Had been struggling with my regular ones for long enough. Also, for comfort, I've been living in my tesco crop top style bras (2 for £3) for the past few weeks as they're so soft, past the point of caring what they look like.

Hope everyone is tucked up in bed, going to have a bath and see if that makes any difference. Oh, the bananas have made a bit of a difference to the restless legs/arms, thank you for the tip! ALso helping with the funny tummy so that's a bonus.

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 14/12/2010 09:00

morning all.Anyone got any advice re sleeping.I lie on my side and after half to one hr my hip hurts so much it wakes me up hats when i need a wee.I feel like a rhino when i turn over.
Oh well i have just had a bad episode of the shits and now feel sick so presume i am going into dds bug.Ill probably be back in afew days arrrgh.

wigglesrock · 14/12/2010 10:00

Take care Ledkr - I've been unable to keep anything down for few days, assumed it was the usual sickness but am now wondering if its a bit of a bug!! No advice on sleeping I'm afraid, dd2 still wakes in the night, if she sleeps with us she'll sleep for 12 hours but she doesn't like sleeping alone Xmas Hmm. So I'm so tired I can usually sleep on demand, although I'm really uncomfy turning over.

DD1 nativity play is today, we are all going, grannys and all, so it should be fun!!! I am having combined flu jab tomorrow, had been really lazy about getting it, but the Health Promotion Agency in NI put an advice warning out yesterday about increasing number of pregnant women getting swine flu and Mr Wiggles is putting his foot down Xmas Grin

Also anyone who hasn't received Health in Pregnancy grant yet, I rang office this am as it's almost been 6 weeks and no money. A really nice advisor (and I'm not being sarcastic) told me midwife has dated form with wrong year!! and they are waiting on her getting back to them grrr.

perkypopsy · 14/12/2010 10:02

Hi Everyone, I've not been on MN since the birth of my DD in October 2008 so feel a bit rusty about posting etc. Think I can remember the emoticons ummm Xmas Smile...hooray!

I'm due to have my second on 18th Feb (same as PDR?). Have been really struggling with this pregnancy - so much bigger and unfit. Feels like am 9 months already but still have 2 months to go - cannot believe stomach can stretch any further Hmm

Anyhoo - just reading through your messages was soooo nice as you are all going through the same stuff - insomnia, breathless, aches and pains, lack of sex life (poor DH just looks at me with sad puppy eyes and I run for the hills!). We've all been ill with a bug and I just thought it must be the pregnancy - was so depressed at thought but am now feeling better phew.

Am at work until end of Jan - not sure how will manage it - am too bloody tired but I need the money so am trying to not do anything rash like call them all a bunch of *ssholes and storm out Wink

Hope it is okay for me to join you all here?
pp
p.s. I got my govt money quickly too and am going to a spa - sod it - I'll eat carrots while I'm there Smile
p.p.s. anyone had a c-section already? Am trying hard not to think about going through it all again but have a feeling I'll be sliced and diced as per usual Sad

santaslittleheroine · 14/12/2010 10:08

Morning everyone - so sorry to hear you and/or kids are not well. Lots of rest and keep up the fluid intake (that definitely includes ice cream!).
We had another scan as we're flying home for Christmas, and all is well. He was blinking and yawning - so cute (to us - late scans = a face only parents could love!!) Xmas Smile
On another note, everyone here is on strike tomorrow - good! - but the transport system is all on strike for THREE DAYS. So I left 'D'P in bed this morning and walked the 40 minutes in to work - have to get home again later on. Xmas Angry
Think I will have to 'work from home' for the next two days and I was exhausted before 8 this morning (feeling ok now, but obviously not up to working as I'm on MN!)
The only thing that has helped my heartburn (including gaviscon advanced) is greek yoghurt with honey. Don't know why but was told this by a long-time non-pregnant sufferer and it does work.

santaslittleheroine · 14/12/2010 10:09

Oh, and welcome perky Xmas Grin

perkypopsy · 14/12/2010 10:25

Morning santaslittleheroine a minute walk?!?!? I hope you are eating mars bars with your feet up now? I tried a short walk to the posh garden centre on sunday and had to hold on to the pram so DH could push us all up the hill Blush

santaslittleheroine · 14/12/2010 10:39

I know, right? Yes, safely here with chocolate and tea and praying it doesn't rain.... Actually, don't think it will [relieved]
I'm knackered already and don't have any kids at all yet - not sure how i'll cope.
FIL has been threatening to 'send MIL over' (his words) to help in the first few months weeks (?). I didn't really mind that much, but DP has already told her to 'just live her own life' instead Xmas Hmm (again - his words)
Your DH sounds very useful, keep him!

PDR · 14/12/2010 10:45

Welcome perky :)

DS and DH are still suffering :( Was up 4 times in the night with DS but he just wanted a cuddle and a sip of water. He seems ok now but was exactly the same yesterday - come 4pm he'll have a temp of 40 again. DH is in bed sweating buckets. I think it's seasonal flu - hope I don't get it! I haven't been vaccinated - might regret that LOL!

Got physio appointment in an hour so DH is going to have to come downstairs and watch DS. Also need to get some bread / milk etc in. Last night I had to eat chicken fingers, jacket potato and sweetcorn as nothing fresh in Hmm

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 14/12/2010 11:09

pdr it hell isnt it?I just have the cold and now the shits(cant spell diareeeeeeah Grin)dd is bit better but still monopolising the tv i just sneezed and my ligaments in my bump went into spasm, did anyone hear me scream,i then sobbed for half an hour.dd watched me and then asked if she could have some shreddies grrr.I havent had the jab either but i think im over the worst of the cold im just praying that i dont start to vomit,i can cope with the other just not puke please. We had a kiddy tea last night too.DH was at work all day then off to football so i just didnt move. When he came back he shuffled about in the kitchen before declaring "shall i make some tea?"

ElleB1980 · 14/12/2010 11:53

Lots and lots of sympathy to those of you struggling with the lurgy. I've been a complete wreck since Saturday with aches, pains and a fever. Saw the Dr yesterday and fortunately all is well but I've not made it out of bed yet.
Feeling better today but only so far as I can sit up in bed today and watch Sex and the City box sets. I think the whole situation is being made worse by the fact our house is a total shambles while we get the kitchen done. I'm starting to wonder why I ever thought getting so much work done before the baby arrives was
a good idea!

Have developed a new syptom today...have manically itchy ankles? Anyone have any advice?
