I went in to him once and gave him a drink then after that when he shouted i just shouted back from our bed..did the trick..lol Am paying today for all the moving around yesterday though..arghhh

dramaqueen72 · 21/09/2005 09:07

ninah · 21/09/2005 09:07

hello all
Nemo I'm interested to hear how Adam got on in a gateless room cos will be shortly trying this out on ds! he didn't try to escape, then? that's good!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DQ! you are looking radiant this morning
ei sorry about the holiday stuff. S/he will be your child, up to you! hope it dies down.
and thanks majorstress, nice to have visitors!

ninah · 21/09/2005 09:08

oh good, have a lovely day!

Nemo1977 · 21/09/2005 09:09

ninah i was really surprised he didnt try and come into our room...jus tthis morning when he woke up and thats it....quite odd as he usually stands at his gate shouting..lol

Nemo1977 · 21/09/2005 09:11

meant to say...on other site i use one of the dec girls has had her baby by c sec...he is 2lb 7oz and doing well apart from a little breathing tube scarey to think our little babes could survive now...

Ninah how are things for you hun [hugs]]]]

expatinscotland · 21/09/2005 09:17

Happy Bday, DQ!

Ei, I'd tell the nan to piss off. Sorry, but I would. It's one thing if she'd ASKED you. Besides, I think 5 months is too young for a baby to go away on holiday w/o you. Put your foot down, it's YOUR baby.

ninah · 21/09/2005 09:17

hey, that's good, just like ds does ('cept he LIES there shouting the lazy beggar) Well, one less thing to worry about then, I hope!
Things much same here p and I have not spoken. Still, it's nice and peaceful I guess. In another life I would be fretting about one million things on a to do list but at the moment I have no idea where I will be or what will be happening at Christmas, and if I start to worry it will never end. So I'm adopting the ostrich approach.

Nemo1977 · 21/09/2005 09:23

Aww ninah hun not a nice place to be ..even if it is peaceful..lol If you wanna chat mail me on
[email protected]

lol just realised how old that account is as i am down as 23 and am nearly 28.

sweetheart · 21/09/2005 09:25

Happy Birthday DQ - I hope you have a lovely day today sweetie!!!!

Ninah - hope your ok. I think the Ostritch approach sounds like a marvellous idea - don't spend too much time stressing over things you can't really control - that my moto!

Nemo - sounds like Adam had a good first night in his new room - even if it did get off to a bumpy start. What you need now is the pil's to take him out again for the day so you can get some r&r And whats all this about using another site.......

ninah · 21/09/2005 09:29

might well take you up on that Nems!

Nemo1977 · 21/09/2005 09:29

lol SH its a site ive used since I found out i was pg with adam. Mainly use his birthboard and then just lurk on others. I wasnt introduced to mn until this time last year by a friend..lol

PIL took adam out yesterday afternoon and asked about taking him again...didnt want to seem too excited but a hell yes wouldnt have gone a miss..lol

scully · 21/09/2005 09:50

Lucky you Nemo, I would be taking full advantage of it if dd had grandparents in this country who were keen to spend time with her
Happy b'day dq, can we ask how old? I'll be 35 on Sunday, so wanted to see if you could make be feel better about it
ei, shame your discussion about the holiday didn't go well. but here's another incentive to try to still be breastfeeding at 5mths, as they can't take the baby then. also, I am sure they would require written permission to take the baby out of the country, if neither of you go, and your signature will need to be on the passport form for him/her to be issued with one, so if you haven't got around to doing that.....
TC, I know what you mean about having too much to do and not enough time, feel like I've spent this whole pregnancy overwhelmed by that though.

sweetheart · 21/09/2005 11:48

I'm having a clear out day at work - mainly because I've been forced to by the lack of chatter on here.

I figured I may as well turf out all my drawers, files etc etc in preperation for my maternity leave

Nothing like being over organized well in advance is there plus I'm just avoiding doing any real work!!

ninah · 21/09/2005 11:53

blimey, good for you! I am sorting out timetables which I hate and being breathed on by someone who drinks a LOT of beer

sweetheart · 21/09/2005 11:54

errghhh thats gross - go and get some mints/chewing gum and offer them some.

Mind you - I'd happily swap for the woman who sits opposite me. She is the loudest eater ever. I have to vacate the room whenever she starts muching.

ninah · 21/09/2005 11:57

I think he already has as there is a 'top note' of mint

sweetheart · 21/09/2005 11:58

lol 'top note' ha ha!!

That is horrible though, it means it's seaping out of his pours!!!

Dh's mother always eats way too much garlic and always stinks of it - it makes me want to vomit!

ninah · 21/09/2005 12:06

I know ...
doesn't mean he's full of the joys of spring, either!

george32 · 21/09/2005 12:22
