I'm not sure ninah. doing up stuff, like furniture, is my 'thing. i love all the stripping and sanding and painting -and admiring at the end! so the fireplace is a labour of love thing I am determined to do
I hope youre getting paid super well, fancy not having enough work time to get on mumsnet!!

dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 17:26

nemo, remind me tonight and I will mail you fabulous one. and the fishcake one to george too.
you can just call me nigella.........

ninah · 26/09/2005 17:29

dq sure it will look great.
Doesn't often happen I'm too busy to mn but work at Uni and it's that time of year, so may be less regular over next two weeks or so, doesn't mean I'm awol! I'm here in spirit, don't forget me!

Nemo1977 · 26/09/2005 17:33

Dq sounds fab..I just dont seem to have the energy anymore..am sure the furniture looks superb..I kepe meaning to get started on my cards I need to make but then forget and before I know another day has gone by.

bonkerz · 26/09/2005 17:57

Ok so things really are not as bad as they could have been. Had quote for the car and it SHOULD come in bang on £250 for cash! Main problem is waiting for parts as they have been hard to find due to car being a rare 8 seater rather than common 7 seater! Garage dropped off the courtesy car for me today so atleast im no longer stranded! Should have car back by Friday at lastest and Wednesday at best! SO good news all round really!
DQ: im same as you, really find it hard to stomach main meals so end up snacking all day and get to 7pm and realise i dont want tea so end up eating apples and bananas cos feel quilty about poor diet! Never mind!!! I know Alex is getting bigger so my fat reserves really must be high quality! Will defo post ss tomorrow!! Although that will probably give it away to who its for!! Hope they like it! Am proud of my shopping skills!!!
On another postitive note i rang the dreaded Tax Credit today and informed about maternity leave etc and we will get double what we are getting now once baby is here! HOORAH!!!
More real nappies arrived today so am stocked up and ready to go i think!
Now am off for a glass of cold coke (longing for malibu in there!) and some chocolate erm... i mean a juicy apple!!!

ebbie22 · 26/09/2005 20:36

I too am here in spirt, bloody busy lately....only just doing dinner now,im starvingGlad u are all ok...
happy belated birthday to u xxxx
How much are tickets for baby show is it 22 pounds each?Is there a website?>

dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 21:11

ebbie yes there is a web site.......I think its thebabyshow.co.uk or something like that, will try and look later. and no, the tickets are about that for 2 not 1.
if you're buying baby things anyhow its worth a rip IMO. lots of special at show offers going on. if youve got everything already then it may not be so much.

Nemo1977 · 26/09/2005 21:42

hello again
DQ recipe pleeeeeeeaaaaaaassssssseeeeeeeeeeee

Dh got home from work at 8.30pm only to be phoned to say the alarm at the store was going off...grrrrrr so we decided to do an impromptu family outing to go with him as otherwise he would only have seen ds for a total of 5mins today.

ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 21:57

howdy! im just lurking atm cos no-one seems to be around!! im soooo bored and the bub is booting me right in my belly so i feel rather sick!(that could be partly cause i ate three mince pies with my dinner!!) i cant help it if the baby wants the pies!!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 22:31

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 23:47

mmmmmmmmm, me too!

ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 23:52

YAY! are you a sleep-o-phobe DQ? i was just about to give up and go and lie on my bed staring at the ceiling!! its ridiculous how the telly bosses never put anything good on in the middle of the night! im so bored!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 00:00

I am about to give up too. done the whole of ebay -nothing exciting, read most fo mumsnet, sigh..........will go make hot drink and attempt sleepy vibes. yeh right! i can only sleep between 5-8am. unfortunately my fmaily all get up at 6.30/7am. so I am cranky and tired THEN but not now!!!!

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 00:11

me too DQ but i havent got the family to keep me awake!! its 'well-timed' early morning calls from mobile phone dealers that all seem to think that their latest offer is more important than my sleep that disturb me!!lol they almost always regret waking me up as an under-slept, irate pg woman is never the best customer imo!! iv tried the hot drink thing tonight and also the sleep easy oil on my pillow but to no effect! i might try a 'jog' around the house to wear me out!!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 00:12

oh steady.jogging.not a good idea, no moving fast, not now..............

dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 00:16

right thats it, I am off to bed, -this ovaltine is very good
wishing you a good nights sleep when you get one.
and, just a thought, how about turning off phone so you get a lie in?????? may all cold callers misdial tomorrow and not wake you

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 00:20

i doubt wether i could actually jog cos i get out of breath standing up out of my chair recently!! i used to do situps but thats obv not allowed- also it would be more 'lie downs and not be able to sit ups' for me!! i think il have to start liniting my sugar intake before bed as i get the feeling that might be to blame!(i had a sugary rasberry jam filled doughnut before coming up to bed!!) but the baby wants what it wants so whats a girl to do??

OP posts:
ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 00:22

im going to try bed aswell so night night DQ sweet dreams hun- hope the ovaltine does the trick!!

OP posts:
george32 · 27/09/2005 07:43

Hope you 2 got some sleep in the end.
I "pinged" awake at 1.30am again (what is it with 1.30am?) and took until about 3.00 to go back to sleep. Too tired to get up though

Ei, it's lovely to see someone eating as much sweet stuff as me
No dinner for me last night though apart from grapes, 2 sachets of senokot and a glass of prune juice (blugh!!), just couldn't fit anything else in.

Working from home for me today so will finally get to the post office (sorry for keeping my ss lady waiting)and later start hanging some wallpaper to cover the big holes where we took the wardrobe down. (Obviously in between doing very important work related things!)

How is everyone today?
Don't forget it's TP Tuesday.....

dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 08:16

morning ladies
yes some sleep in the end george, but bothered by bad dreams its almost not worth going to bed anymore!!
glad youre at home and busy, sounds a nice day ahead.
hope youre sleeping ei
