ei23mummy · 25/09/2005 23:44

good evening !!
i ended up falling asleep last night about 10 mins after putting on my film! good job i was in bed tho! im thanking that sleep-easy oil that i was sent as part of my ss gift bag!! thankyou to ss again for sending me it!! i did wake up a few times tho. once when dp came in from the pub and again at 2am as i had v.v. bad h/burn and then needed to be sick!! after that tho i slept like a baby til 9:30 when the cat woke me up!! iv been a busy bee today! went to costco this morn then to dp's mums, then to my mums, then back to dp's mums for sunday dinner then back home for our weekly cleaning blitz which took us about 2 hours to do!! it was quite a big clean today as it usually only takes about an hour to do the whole house top to bottom!
ah well that was me today! hows everyone enjoyed their weekends??

Morning everyone. Can't believe it, I've had my usual 40 minutes on the tube but I don't feel sick!!! First time for ages I've got to work feeling OK. Hope it is the start of a good week.

Bonkerz, my DP is usualy the same as your DH when it comes to DIY. He is really being a star though at the moment & doing everything that is strenous. I'm not too good at not helping though so I keep being told off for lifting things!! Make sure you don't do too much Bonkerz, don't want you doing yourself any harm.

DQ, you are indeed domestic goddess . I think my DP is hoping a similar thing happens to me when I leave work. Might have to get the recipe for fishcakes from you to have a try though.

Late night again for you Ei?

george32 · 26/09/2005 09:56

Where is everyone today?

sweetheart · 26/09/2005 10:00

iT'S WAGES DAY HERE AND i'M SKINT SO GOTTA PAY MYSELF BEFORE i CAN CHATTER [GRIN]

sweetheart · 26/09/2005 10:01

Whoops, sorry - didn't mean to shout!!

Nemo1977 · 26/09/2005 10:07

morning

George glad the tube trip went well for a change

SH get paying and if you want my details will be more than willing to take a wage

Bought myself a book yesterday by the comedien mel from mel and sue and its sooo funny. Its about her pregnancy will post it on when I have finished as its had me in stitches..must be good as I chose to stay in bed and read this morning instead of get up and come on here

sweetheart · 26/09/2005 10:21

Right, now thats done....

George, glad your feeling a bit better hun. Perhaps you've moved into your "blooming" phase.

Nemo - I read that book when I was first pregnant. Is it called from here to maternity - or something like that. I don't read much but my sil gave it to me. Thought it was quite a good read, although it ends with her labour and I was a bit disappointed as I'd have liked to hear what happened next IYSWIM!!

george32 · 26/09/2005 10:38

Glad you have paid yourself SH!

Hmm, blooming? Doesn't that phase end soon? Better make the most of it today then.

Oooh, Nemo, staying in bed reading - how lovely. Did you manage to get some sleep again last night?
I told DP that I was bound to wake up at 1.30, 3.00 and 5.00am, close as I woke at 1.30 and 3.00 but then at 4.00 - hope this isn't indicative of how the baby will be waking!!

Nemo1977 · 26/09/2005 10:46

lol george..so so whenever i woke up i read instead of getting up. However if its any consolation adam kept me awake most nights for long long hours..however apart from the first few weeks he was sleeping through well 12-6 from 7wks old.

sh thats the book, bit disappointing not to know further on but then she may be doing another one..lol

scully · 26/09/2005 11:21

Thx for the b'day wishes, has a relaxing day yesterday, apart from getting upset when dh broke a dish I liked. My hormones really aren't being nice right now......
Spent 4hrs in A&E on Friday night, for dh. Dropped dd off with a friend at 10pm and picked her up again at 3.45am, after dh had had a load of tests etc. They decided not to admit him but left us all feeling sleep deprived on Sat.....He's feeling a lot better now but it has taken almost a week. Hoping to get more diy done this weekend, if we can all manage to be well
Awful news about your accident Bonkerz, hope you have a better week this week.
SH, I had meant to get to that NCT sale as well on Sat, but didn't quite make it, with dd's swimming and having to back to the hospital to get a prescription filled. I do like them though, they have some great bargains.

ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 12:01

glad you enjoyed your birthday scully! did ya get anything nice??
i went to bed after posting on here last night and actually fell asleep for the second night in a row without trouble!!! yay!!

Hi all,

No phone call from garage yet so dont know if thats good or bad about quote! Hopefully it means the repairs will be less than £250 and we wont have to go through insurance! Hate not having a car though and feel trapped!
Quiet morning here as all midees went to bed but phone and door havent stopped so no rest for me!
Have started having to stay up late now as well but have to go downstairs cos DH needs his sleep! Alex had hiccups about 4 times last night and im still on the toilet every 15 mins! She kicked so hard yesterday that i yelped! Gald she is getting stronger but just makes me realise how much i want her out now!
Ok gonna get lunch done for mindees and may ring garage!

dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 12:28

oh scully, sorry hun hope you had a lovely lovely birthday yesterday. if my brain wasnt total mush I would of remembered
s/h we got paid last week. which means we are a week closer to being broke again!LOL
nemo, not read that one, but recently read jules oliver's, which is lovely.
george, may your blooming continue
been sorting out chritmas gifts here and delighted to find i had more than I thought stashed away. which is good, because ever since you said youre single countdown fgures s/h I have been seriously panicing. told dh last night that am going to freak when I hit 30wks as tenwks is no time at all and we must get nursery and christmas sorted ASAP. he kinda look at me blankly and said okay I hear you.
which as we all know means he didnt!!!

dramaqueen72 · 26/09/2005 12:29

and bonkerz fingers crossed car is v cheap for you!

george32 · 26/09/2005 13:08

Oh DQ, that sounds so like me talking to my DP.
I keep have really panicky moments when I reel off to him everything we need to do and get myself in a pickle about it. No sympathy from him either!

Hope it's good news for you from the garage Bonkerz - fingers crossed for you.

Ei, how awful for you to be stuck at home. I'm not at all .

Glad you had a relaxing day yesterday Scully. Sounds like it is DIY city all round at the moment.

sweetheart · 26/09/2005 13:14

Scully - Happy b'day hun. Sorry I didn't post, hope you had a fab day!

DQ sorry to freak you out lady but I have to say I am very happy to be in single figures (even if it is only by 1 day!!) Like bonkerz said, it's lovely knowing our little beans are safe and healthy BUT I do just want it out now!

I'm trying to be really healthy from now on as I've been feeling really sluggish and in alot of pain. So today I have:-

Had weetabix with ss milk (instead of cornflakes and cream )
had 3 bits of fruit (instead of a packet of biscuits)
Been to the gym (instead of sitting on my fat arse doing nothing)
And am about to eat a "healthy eating" sandwich - I've also substituted my full fat fizzy drink for water (still got crisps though)

AND, I even resisted buying some choc to relieve my afternoon boredom. Instead I've got 2 more bits of fruit.

Are you proud of me........

Let's see how long it lasts, probably until tomorrow

How is everyone else feeling?

george32 · 26/09/2005 13:34

Wow, I'm impressed SH. The gym too??? How??? I walk to the shop & have to sit down for hours as I'm knackered

I keep trying to get my digestive system working again but I think it has totally given up the ghost now. Nothing comes out any more.....where does it go???

sweetheart · 26/09/2005 13:37

My work colleague has just brought me a flake!! I'm going to have to try and resist it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 13:40

hey im not trapped anymore!!! dp got a long lunch off work and brought my keys home so i could go out if i wanted!! have just been to post my ss prezzie so lady its on the way!!! if your in single figures for your due date s/h i must be in them for my mat leave!! yay! i havent been keeping track as it always seems so far away! so much to do so little time!!

OP posts:
ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 13:43

i say eat the flake s/h! a reward for all your hard work towards being healthy! thats prob why i find it so hard to lose weight!!
george did you not try the polo experiment- or the prune one??

OP posts:
george32 · 26/09/2005 13:47

Eat it SH, eat it!!

I've eaten prunes / apricots / bran / senakot / baked beans / jacket potatoes but nothing works. I admit I've not tried the Polos yet.
I think everything must be evaporating somehow.

ei23mummy · 26/09/2005 13:57

my m/w suggested something called fibregel orange which is like a dilute orange juice drink with fibre grains in the bottom of it its supposed to be really good and completely safe during pg! im not sure if youd have to get it prescribed tho or just buy it from the chemist! worth a try tho imo!
