Arrgghhh! My joints are KILLING me. I've had a lot of sports injuries in the past - including 4 knee surgeries and a right knee full of pins and staples. And it's all come back to haunt me.

Took DD out to the Botanical Gardens today and she had soooo much fun. DH was off, thankfully, cuz I creaked around like an old woman.

The baby is SO active, and I can hardly eat more than a bite of two at a time b/c my stomach is pushed up so high.

Roll on December!

george32 · 25/09/2005 06:03

Well, an early start for me today. Been up for a while pottering as my body has decided I've had way to much sleep already. All quiet on the Insomniac thread last night so I hope everyone got a better night.

Expat, all sounds very painful. Lots of rest for you I think. I know what you mean about eating. We treated ourselves to delivered Pizza last night and I was done after 1 slice - pathetic!!

Ei, did you find something to do last night in the end?

dramaqueen72 · 25/09/2005 09:11

blimey george, that was early!!!
up and at 'em myself quite early today -dd2's idea tho not mine........never mind.
going to buy a new birthing ball today, as just cannot get comfy sat on sofa or floor now. the balls are very comfy to perch on whilst watching television

Nemo1977 · 25/09/2005 11:08

ooo DQ i loved my birthing ballwiht adam...am sure its on top of the wardrobe...thanks for the reminder.

George..poor you up so early and not even due to anyone else [apart from baby of course].

Expat ouch is all I can say and only being able to take paracetamol is a pain. Or if you have a sympathetic gp..which i dont..you may get kapake..lol

Well I managed to sleep last night from about 1am would have been earlier but adam woke up as he is getting his final molar..woo hoo only after 19mths of teething on and off..lol However he made up for it this morning by waking at 7.30 but then he played in his bedroom for 2 whole hours DH and I didnt know what hit us when he came back to say hello at 9.30..lol Would have been super if I hadnt been up at 7.30 with him because he was wet so had to get dressed..but even so..lol
Nothing much planned I dont think, have washing in house tidy ish..dh is building a cupboard for his computer in the dining room[living n dining is through room. So i am chilling on here while adam watches dora and harrasses daddy about hammers..lol

sweetheart · 25/09/2005 14:06

I'm so glad to hear there is a June 06 thread. I've been waiting for that to happen.

Nemo, colds are rife in this house too I'm afraid. All of us are feeling under the weather.

Expat - sorry your feeling achey. I've been so uncomfortable the last two days, especially laying in bed. I had to put a spare duvet in with us last night so I have something to lean on and wedge under my bump. Trouble is too long on one side leaves me in pain but it's a massive task to turn over AND move the duvet to the other side.

Dh is working in the garden again s=today so more pottering around the house for me. I quite like it though - it gives me an idea of what I'll be like on mat leave

Well ladies, as of tomorrow I will be in SINGLE FIGURES!!!!! Due 10 weeks today - so tomorrow it will be 9 +6!!!

george32 · 25/09/2005 14:41

SH, 10 weeks!!!
That doesn't seem long at all. Haven't really started counting the weeks down yet and I don't think I will now, that's just too scary!!

Glad you got some sleep Nemo, and a lie in too - you lucky thing.

DQ, I'm sure it will happen, but just at this moment I really can't see sitting on a ball being comfy!!

Well, DP has been a star today. He has demolished all the fitted furniture from the boys room & is just taking it down the tip. We can finally start decorating it so that both boys can move in leaving the other room free for the nursery. Feels like we are finally getting somewhere at last

bonkerz · 25/09/2005 17:24

I HATE HAVING ACID IN MY THROAT!!! HAd it for about 3 hours now and am starting to gag! Tried gaviscon and milk! HAve no almonds and am about ready to scream! Alex has had hiccups now for 20 minutes and i think its all because i ate a rolo muffin after lunch!!!!
Feeling better today. Am resigned to accepting that whats happened has happened and i need to move on! No point wondering what if and just be thankful that alex and i are ok. Still no quote from garage though so will probably get a shock tomorrow!!
Am fed up of the frequent trips to the toliet, am thinking of moiving TV in their cos it will save the walk every few minutes! Even DH is fed up with my disappearing!
Did anyone see the picture in the SUN today of the baby born at 22 weeks! 6 inches long and survived against all odds! Stories like that just make me cry for joy! Also did anyone watch BODIES last night? Baby on there born at full term but heartbeat dipped at end and there was an awful 2 minutes where baby didnt cry and i was sobbing and praying it would be ok! Dh really has no patience with me when i watch stuff like that cos it really upsets me! Baby was fine BTW!!!! Hormones are wonderful!
Am facing a week in the house with 3 kids under 3 cos have no car!! Not a nice prospect and only chance of going out is if i push a double buggy 2 miles into village! Not something that i think i can do without starting off my labour!
OK dreams...... Had a dream last night that my waters broke on the kitchen floor and had to go hospital! Dream or premonition? Ok am gonna shut up now cos im probably boring you!

ebbie22 · 25/09/2005 17:30

Hiya guys, sorry tohear ur still down bonkers,Dreams are such a funny thing, dreamt that dd cuts the umbilicole cord with kidsscissors even thiugh she doest own any, dsister phoned me up[notknowingbout the dream]to say that she brought ddsome scissors as knows how much she loves cutting....arhhhh

sweetheart · 25/09/2005 17:45

bonkerz - don't you just hate that. When you have one nice thing and it repeats on you for the rest of the day. Glad to hear your feeling more "rational" about the crash. You'll drive yourself crazy thinking of all the what if's!!

Ebbie - thats really spooky about your sister. Perhaps it was a premanition!!!

I'd be happy if I could just get some decent sleep!!! I've borrowed a friends body cushion thing today so fingers crossesd for tonight.

I'm just about to go blow up a birthing ball, hopefully that will help with the siatic pain which is keeping me awake at night!

dramaqueen72 · 25/09/2005 17:46

LOL ebbie, how funny! make sure you keep them very clean!!
spd pain killing me after attempting to potter about town with family today. as your 'help' as been pretty hopefless nemo, decided to miss out physio and opt for massage lady instead!
george, you are going to ahve to trust me on this, those large exercise/birthing balls are lovely, they tip your pelvis ever so slightly and make for comfy sitting.....esp if your like me and restless on sofa all eveing as cant get 'right', sat right back anymore.
bonkerz, sounds like a week of cutting sticking, and 'nature walks' round the garden for you!
s/h woohoo! nine wks eh? no time at all, now starting to panic! glad youre enjoying the pottering about, and sounds like this baby will have one heck of a gardent o lie out in come spring.........does your dh fancy taking on mine after yours???????????
made pumpkin pie this afternoon, smells delightful as its baking. so maybe behind on washing, with mess in big kids rooms, but never mind as am really domestic goddess with homemeade fishcakes and pumpkin pie for dinner

sweetheart · 25/09/2005 17:51

DQ I think dh might just kill me if I suggested any more gardening. He may just dig up our newly laid patio to bury me under it . We went to B&Q today and I said "lets look at wallpaper for our bedroom"

I won't tell you what reply I got

Still, if I nag enough it might just get done before the baby arrives.

bonkerz · 25/09/2005 17:59

LOL, you are so lucky SH to have a man to do DIY. My mission when i give up work on 11th NOvemebr is to decorate DS room! Then finish nursery, then sort out all the cupboards and chuck out stuff we havent used for years which means quite a few trips to the tip! My DH is useless at stuff like that and just moves junk around the house! Am actually getting itchy now and want to start all these jobs and am holding myself back!
2 weeks till i go on my holiday and am now panicking i am not going to be comfortable in the caravan due to growing bump!!! Have upgraded to a 3 bed caravan so am hoing that its slightly bigger than 2 bed one!!

sweetheart · 25/09/2005 18:45

bonkerz - to be honest it's fil that has meant our garden is finished. We have been doing "bits and pieces" to it for the last 6 months!! It's only him coming round and cracking the whip which has got it finished.

I think his wife will be glad it's done now

On the whole though, dh is pretty good with general DIY. I think even he would admit that this garden has been boyond his capabilities!!!

ebbie22 · 25/09/2005 22:27

Night all,im shattered and feel like s*...hundred and one things running thru my head and just need to SLEAP...Sweet dreams when you all finally get some..lol
