jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 12:01

its bad when we get like this isnt it!!!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 12:04

I've got past caring about how bad I am I just want to go to bed and tell everyone to piss off

Anyway, lunch! Lunch! Bleh!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 12:39

lunch? whats that? Jess will be fine til tea time surely!!!

Seriously though - she doesnt eat lunch - breakfast and then snacky stuff all morning - it means she then EATS her tea rather than chuck it on the floor!

hester · 27/09/2005 13:30

Congratulations NM2B and many thanks Mr NM2B for letting us know. What lovely news. Joseph is one of my favourite names and was in our top three choices for a boy. Can't wait to hear all the gory details

I'm loving my first day of maternity leave. I did my normal waking up after five hours and not getting back to sleep, but this time I was able to get up, eat and read, then go back to bed for a couple of hours. It's made such a difference. Still feeling nauseous but it sounds like that's normal...

Must leave the house soon, but you know what that means, ladies - will have to boil lots of kettles first!

SusiS · 27/09/2005 15:46

phewww, back from softplay!!! dp is home and he suggested going there. well, he is worn out now and ds is in bed - i was just sitting there for good an hour watching both running around like mad

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 16:01

Ahhh I'm poo, I've managed to do nothing and the house looks worse than when I started my 'tidying'... Wah. Hester, it would be funny if you were having a homebirth, your DP really would have to boil loads of water! It wouldn't just be a midwife myth to get her in the kitchen!

Feel so sorry for you though!

Wish there was a softplay to send DS and DH to... poor wee man he's bored..

triceratops · 27/09/2005 16:19

I have just been sorting the nursery with all the new things I have been given. I have 34 second hand sleepsuits size 0-3 months and about twice as many vests. Will she get to wear them all even once before she is too big?

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 16:20

Trice - nope lol, my advice is, don't be tempted to change her every five minutes because you have so many clothes - in a few months you'll be looking back on those days in sadness, the first few months when their poo doesn't tend to escape from their nappies !!

mawbroon · 27/09/2005 16:28

Hello all. Just back from the midwife who has confirmed that baby is still breech - like he was going to turn and me not know about it!! She has referred me to the consultant and I have an appointment on Thursday afternoon. Apparantly this particular consultant is not a fan of EVC so looks like I might have to fight if I really want to go down that road. I knew that my pregnancy had been too good to be true

On a cheerier note - I am currently washing all the baby clothes just now in preparation for my hospital bag

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 17:11

im still in awe that some of you havent packed your bags!!! Mines been done for 3 weeks now!

I know what you mean about the millions of sleepsuits and vests - its all this baby is going to wear for the first 3 months because otherwise its a waste - but then saying that - none of them are brand new!

Got my Caboodle change bag today from another MNer.... its great - loads of room for Jess's stuff and the baby's so well happy!

YOKEFLEET · 27/09/2005 17:15

Congratulations to NM & dp on the birth of Joseph.

mawbroon · 27/09/2005 18:02

I'm not due for another 4 weeks yet J&BM. Thats my excuse and i'm sticking to it!!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 18:23

mawbroon - i have SUPPOSEDLY still got 3 weeks to go!!!

Elf1981 · 27/09/2005 18:38

Seen hospital today for all pre op info on the section. Go in the morning of the section so getting a little nervous now, it all seems so official!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 18:39

Elf.... when are you going in hun?!

morningpaper · 27/09/2005 19:07

Hehe I think we should take bets on when J&BM is going to drop...

I reckon in the last week of October...

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 19:20

thanks for that hun!!!

I WILL MAKE THIS BABY ARRIVE BEFORE MY DUE DATE!

Redtartanlass · 27/09/2005 20:40

Hester ? wish I was on mat leave, think I?m gonna jack it in after this week, the person who is supposed to be covering my workload wile I?m off, has gone on long term sick?.?stress?, she hasn?t even started with my workload yet FGS

Hey Tri can I have some of your vests?..i still don?t have any?Right am going to buy some tomorrow.

Maw ? was keeping my fingers crossed for you and elf today, but hey?.there?s still time eh? {{hides behind screen as hormonally enraged Maw launches at RTL, as she?s probably heard that a million times}}

I?ve got appointment with consultant tomorrow, check she?s growing ok, probably get another scan. Fingers crossed.

If Man U win tonight, might try and have some sex, see if that gets things started again. All my aches and pains have disappeared.

Jockey · 27/09/2005 21:05

RTL - I don't know how you've kept working so long! And what is the likelihood of Man Utd winning tonight?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 21:06

RTL - mine too! Had the spicy food, managed a bit of pineapple (even though i want to puke it straight back up) and DH is now taking me to bed.... lets hope this starts something again.....

mawbroon · 27/09/2005 21:34

Lol RTL. I have been surprisingly unhormonal for this whole pregnancy. Don't worry about saying that there's still time - even I am telling myself that, however if I get booked in for a section and someone says "still time" as I leave for the hospital then I might be tempted to swing for them ......

I am absolutely pooped tonight after finally getting the house back to normal. How come that although we were getting the floor fitted in one room that the whole house was a tip??? Always a mystery to me.

Starting on the baby's room tomorrow. Everything is bought and the room was decorated before I was even pg so it's just a case of rearranging everything and assembling the cot bed. Hmm, perhaps a job for DH. I can do it, but the question is can I be arsed.....

Redtartanlass · 27/09/2005 21:40

Right girls, I'm off to bed. Man U won, dp happy as harry. Off to do the dirty deed. Anything to get off work early

SusiS · 27/09/2005 22:03

tired tired tired ...
that's all that seems going on at the moment!

getting another sweep tomorrow; luckily ds will be in nusery all afternoon - so don't have to take him with me

i thought bubs should be way too big by now but she is still kicking for the kingdom
but kicks are getting quite low now!!!

mawbroon · 28/09/2005 08:21

Morning all. I suffered from insomnia last night for the first time EVER in my life. Normally I am very talented at sleeping. So, after finally getting to sleep at 3.30am I woke up with a "ping" at 7.15am. This is also unheard of!!

I think this is going to result in me collapsing on the sofa all afternoon but first I have to nest a bit more....... I can't help it.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 28/09/2005 08:43
