Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fastasleep · 27/09/2005 08:14

Congrats NM2B!! I mentioned nipple tweaking I did Hope your consult goes well today Elf... can't believe you have no water still Hester!!

I'm due late in October DM so I'll probably be hanging around with you...

I got no action last night either, pathetic man! Can't stop drinking too...

I wonder who's next! So exciting! Anyway better find DS and change that nappy... I got no snooze this morning up at 6... pah. Hope we all start feeling better cos I'm grumpy and sore and fed up!

triceratops · 27/09/2005 08:18

Congratulations NM (UR). Very good planning getting your dh to let us know how you got on. Welcome baby Joseph.

Can everyone else wait until October please? I don't want to be the only mum on the october board. Cross your legs for the next three days .

JM you are not due until a couple of days after me. It is ages off - stop trying so hard. If your db is 10 days overdue you are going to go mad waiting . Although your dh sounds like he is getting a good deal .

I am also drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of pears. And I mean a lot. I think I got through 8 yesterday. Poor little daughter - last time it was mangos and ds was born ginger - do you think she is going to come out pear shaped?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 08:19

Trice.... its only the hospitals dates that make me the 21st..... my dates are more like the 6th-8th but hey, we will see.... and with a 14 month old wrecking the place 24/7 i could do with getting this baby out and getting back to normality!!!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 08:20

Nah but she can blame you later on when she eats too many jaffa cakes and gets a big bum

I'm sooooooooooo tired. Right, that nappy, right! Where is that rampaging little sod anyway? Argh!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 08:32

Fa - hope you catch up with him soon before he wrecks something else!!!

We have changed the nappy this morning, but as yet cannot be arsed to get dressed! Im not planning on going out til 1pm anyway so im sure we can survive til at least 12.45!

SusiS · 27/09/2005 08:43

managed to change ds nappy; but getting dressed? nawwwww! pj is just fiiiiine

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 09:11

Are we all just lazy or is it a pg thing that makes us want to stay in our jammies all day?!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 09:18

I'm not even in PJs I couldn't be arsed to get into them last night! So am currently wandering round in fleecey top and knickers lol... don't know if we're even going out.. no groups on, feel a bit like nesting! Might go mad and clean everything (the midwife's coming tomorrow about the homebirth) although I'll probably just get in a grump with DS... Could go to the park but it's a 20 minute walk each way... ugh..

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 09:21

Im off for a coffee afternono this afternoon - 15 minute walk each way, but it gets me out! Once i get there i can sit and chill and once i get home i can sit and chill.... thats my reasoning.

Depending on the weather though, i may just be really lazy and drive! Been raining all morning!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 09:24

Oh for a car my back hurts loads still.. and going to the park involves 20 minutes walk 5 minute walk then an hour of chasing DS as he climbs up everything and throws himself off scarily and then 5 min walk then 20 min walk and I just totally talked myself out of that one! I'll save it for when I feel like locking him in a cupboard lol, might not be far away that... nasty little grumpface.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 09:25

lol.... to be honest, since i moved house, i have hardly used my car! Chuck Jess in the buggy and walk everywhere now.... save the car for rainy days!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 09:27

You don't live in the ghetto though I live 40 mins away from the city centre! And no one dares have toddler groups here with the 'scallies' lol so everything's like a 40 min bus journey and then a long walk (silly DH buying this house!)

They closed down the one group I could walk to because the Surestart staff didn't want to do it anymore! Feels pathetic, looks melodramatic..

mawbroon · 27/09/2005 09:28

Awww congratulations NM

Danishmummy - I'm not due until 27th Oct, but of course if the baby doesn't turn then he is likely to arrive before then. So I might be hanging around the October board for a while. Re your baby turning - are you feeling knees and elbows up high or are you still getting big thumps low down?

Elf - here's hoping he turns tonight, but I have my doubts somehow

Hester - I can't believe that you STILL have no hot water. Write to Watchdog!!

Today's activities will include finishing tidying up and getting back to normal after getting our new floor and then (drum roll) packing my hospital bag When is it going to sink in that I am having a baby???????

MB

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 09:32

Oh yeaaahh hospital bag... my excuse is that I'm not going to hospital lol - I have a big pack of huge pads now, totally thanks to DH remembering the other day while in the supermarket.. I'm all ready

morningpaper · 27/09/2005 09:36

Congratulations NM - what a big baby! Looking forward to hearing how you are getting on with the granny contingent! xxx

Elf1981 · 27/09/2005 09:51

Congratulations Nervousmum!

Got down to nookie last night with DH which was reeeeeeeally nice but now my backache has disappeared, so have the pains in the sides (well, subsided rather than gone completely) so I think that Boo has decided they're not coming out if that's the kind of noise they can expect from their parents

I've got 15 days til my due date, 9 days til my section date. I must admit, last week I was desperate for Boo to come out, but only becuase I was fed up with being unable to sleep and sick of the constant heartburn. Now some of those symptoms have eased, I'm a bit more relaxed. The only reason I want Boo to arrive early is because I want my mum to be there before her op, but theres not much I can do - if Boo takes after me or DH, they're going to be stubborn and do everything in their own time!!

Elf1981 · 27/09/2005 09:57

Saying that though, if I get to the hospital today and Boo has turned and I am told no section and I go overdue waiting for them to arrive naturally I'll be a little wound up!!

Anybody interest in a new thread of due dates Vs arrival dates, with info about the births on it?

Moomin · 27/09/2005 10:11

good idea.

i cant believe that if this pg was 'normal' id still have 4 wks til my due date and then wot about if i was ovedue?!! 6 more weeks of being this size with lungs the size of orange pips and feet poking into my hips at all times! met another mum yesterday who lost her 1st baby at 26wks from plac praev so have decided not to moan about being here anymore. 2wks is nothing.

Elf1981 · 27/09/2005 10:27

I'll get a thread set up...

Agree Moomin, puts things in perceptive doesn't it? Found out that a woman I used to work with lost her second baby quite early on but at the same time in the office there was me and another girl blooming with pregnancy and chatting away. Poor woman, must have awful for her.

Elf1981 · 27/09/2005 10:31

I set up a thread in Ante-natal clubs (though maybe should be somewhere else, but it's done now!) called October Stats - Due dates Vs Arrival dates.

Just a place to put down all info we wish to share about the births.

BigBumpBonnie · 27/09/2005 10:46

CONGRATS NM!!!! Babies are coming thick and fast (except mine ) Not in too much of a hurry but dh being self employed has decided not to book any jobs in now as he doesn't want to start something he can't finish. He's now getting jobs done around the house which is great, but we can't afford for him to have too much time off!! Scan due date is 5th Oct for me, so hopefully something will get going by next week. Keep having twinges as well but nothing that lasts. Been sleeping ok since baby engaged but had a bad night last night for some reason. Dh snoring and taking up most of the bed didn't help. Little dd keeps saying 'baby come soon' and I do hope she's right Anyway, good luck at the consultants today to those going and lets hope elf and mawrbroons babies turn soonxxx

Watched the most painful natural birth ever on Home birth diaries yesterday so have def settled on screaming for an epidural as soon as I get to hospital! You home birthers are BRAVE!!!!!

RTL, lol at your canesten/gaviscon slip

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 11:38

Right, have now decided there is NO MORE ROOM for this baby in my tummy anymore! My bump is rock solid all the time and the movements are hurting!

My belly button is flat.... which never happened with Jess and my boobs hurt BAD!

I really am turning into a whingy old bag now..... the MW wants to be NICE tomorrow or she may get the sharp end of my tongue!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 11:56

Wah I don't feel well, I feel pukey and exhausted and breathless and DS is driving me MAD MAD MAD! If he gets the phone from 6 feet off the floor one more time I'm going to whack him with it!!

Maybe I'll try dragging him to the park.. but it's so faaarrr..

I've scared Sophia even, she's got hiccups from my ranting and raving fit lol

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 27/09/2005 11:59

Fa - i dont feel great either.... and if Jess pulls the sky card out one more time i dont know what ill do!

Really not sure about going out at 1pm.... im just SO tired!

fastasleep · 27/09/2005 12:01

AAAAAAAAAAAAARGH I think we should hybernate now! Make a nice nest in bed, and wake up when we're half way through labour... wanders off to make DS lunch...and find him lol
