Mornng everyone,

I hope you enjoyed your anniversary TicTac.

I gave DH my list of pros and cons for my early maternity and also a list of money saving ideas I came up with. He is now in agreement with me and has apologised for having his little outburst - wow, thanks guys - amazing how you can solve things by being civil and diplomatic!

Amanda - I can't do sunday, my bro is cooking sunday lunch so that should be interesting! Can we arrange for one night next week?

flamebat · 30/09/2005 09:51

Chloe - YAY!!!!!!! I was thinking about you last night and wondering just what exactly it had to do with your SIL but I guess we don't have to go there now! I am back in work today if you want to play on email.

Frizbe · 30/09/2005 12:31

Frizbe · 30/09/2005 18:45

Frizbe · 30/09/2005 18:54

Have been trying to potty train dd today, so far two wee's on the floor and one poo in her pants.....ahh the joys of motherhood! lets hope tomorrow's a better day for it! she seems to be slowly getting the idea, that it should be in the potty, just not quite asking in time

TicTac · 30/09/2005 20:26

Oh Frizbe us first timers have it al to come...at least it is a couple of years away I guess!

Had a lovely night thanks Space, was some how made very special by the fact we have little tic tac on the way

Has anyone been looking at nurseries yet (for babies not flowers!!)? I went to see 1 yesterday and was a little disappointed but going to see another one next week which I really like the look of! Got to get in early for these baby places although feel weird talking about a baby in school who isn't even born yet!!

flamebat · 01/10/2005 09:33

I'm feeling odd.

I woke up yesterday morning feeling a bit... I don't know, just wrong. I had wriggling about 3pm, and then from about 5pm I was aching lots - back ache and base of bump. I had a warm bath last night, and it didn't help much, I just kept hurting. After a lot of scared tears last night, I finally fell asleep. This morning I still ache slightly, but more stiffness and a tender base of my bump. No movements yet.

Its probably just a growth spurt causing muscle aches, but I am scared. I just feel wrong. Going to a friend's today, so can't update you all until this evening. Hopefully Spark will move soon and put my mind at rest.

TicTac · 01/10/2005 09:39

Flame - if you are even slightly concerned...phone your midwife team! They are there to help you!! I hope spark gives you a good kicking later though

flamebat · 01/10/2005 09:50

Very gentle... but I HAVE KICKS!!!

Still gonna keep an eye on things, but much happier.

space x

Tabs · 01/10/2005 10:54

Oh dear - lots of people having stressful mornings then. Amanda - hope all turns out to be fine.

Well I've been awake since 4am and up since 6am! Just couldn't get back to sleep, so thought I'd get up and finish cleaning the bathrooms and create a music playlist for the party this afternoon. Was thinking that then I'd have time for a sleep before everyone turns up, but can't see that actually happening, so will be a tired bunny later!

Hopefully will be able to sneak on briefly during party to check for Amanda's update.

TicTac - don't need to think about nurseries, as not planning on going back to work (until I've had enough time with Chip to decide that I need to for my sanity!).

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Huge huge hugs Amanda, I know how scared you must be (actually I probably don't as I only had the pain).

Thinking of you.

xxxx

spacecadet · 01/10/2005 11:53

spacecadet · 01/10/2005 11:54

TicTac · 01/10/2005 14:01

Tabs - good luck for the party, hope all goes well ans you get a bit of relief from the rain!

Not heard from Angedmarche!

Amanda - XX

Tabs · 01/10/2005 14:54

Typical - been lovely weather all day. Guests due in 5 mins and now it's started to rain!!!!!

OP posts:
Frizbe · 01/10/2005 18:05

Tabs good luck for tonight

Amanda1 {{{{Hugs}}}} Hope all is ok x

Flame, sure all is ok, now as you have kicks right, probably just growing pains, I had a few last night, followed by a few braxton hicks! yikes! and have been out working today, and whilst out, appear to have grown.....now struggling to fit into my spare pair of jeans....so that's me down to one pair of non maternity jeans (19 wks tomorrow!) and these were my two pairs of bigger size jeans from last time after the birth.....ot oh! think I'd better go maternity shopping tomorrow

TicTac · 01/10/2005 19:31

Frizbe - get shopping!! I am 21 weeks and can't do the top 2 buttons on jeans...I am not a small girl anyway!

Lots of kicks yesterday and today so tictac must have been having a rest Wednesday/ Thursday

Tabs - it only "stopped" raining here at 3 so it must all be travelling South...hope it's going well and DH is a happy bunny!!

Frizbe · 01/10/2005 19:55

bitwintandem don't know what you think girls, but I'm thinking about getting one of these? whaddya reckon? anyone got one/experienced one?
Ok Tictac I'm on the case!

3k · 01/10/2005 22:51

Hi Girls,

Amanda - I hope all is well with your little bubba, I had a bleed a few weeks back and have had all that pain, apparantly if you have a low lying placenta it can cause it which is what I have. Still getting pains on and off but really trying hard to get home and put my feet up. I hope it is just ligament pains like me - hugs to you xxxxx

Yesterday I had my scan which predicts if I will have an early labour or not. Kings College are doing them but they came to my local hospital to do it and they are going to make it a general scan in all hospitals eventually as it is quite a new thing. It was an internal scan (had loads cos of IVF anyway so used to these) and they measured my cervix. If it is below 15mm then this is not good and they would predict you would have the baby before 34 weeks so would therefore give you drugs to make baby stronger. Anyway mine was 30mm so I am at lower than 1% chance of delivering naturally early which put my mind at rest.

Midwife gave me a leaflet on Monday for a group called AceBabes which is for women who have conceived via IVF etc and it says in there about how much you worry more with this kind of conception about something going wrong. It was good to see I'm not the only one although I am starting to relax a little now.

REally fancy a Nesqick but only half a pint of milk in and DH in bed as been working all day! I've given him strict instructions to get to the shop first thing and get 4 pints as I need it now!!!!!!
