My hubby cant even come to my 20 week scan tomorrow as his work is short staffed too!! I feel very miserable now, I want him to be there but I'm sure my mum will jump at the chance

chloe55 · 22/09/2005 13:46

Ah that's awful 3k, bloody work! Who needs it! Erm most of us probably..........

3k · 22/09/2005 13:49

I know, it really annoys me as loads of people at his place always bunk off for one reason or another and Paul is always there even if he feels unwell. Then when he wants an hour or two off he cant because he is covering for other people!! I think it is important for him to be there as this will be the last proper scan. Is anyone else not going with their partner?

TicTac · 22/09/2005 14:06

Amanda - I think you are fine but need the rest! Stress is not going to help you at all.

3K - Well my DH wasn't going to come to the hospital for my last scan but I am not sure now.. I think I want him there.

Tabs - Funny I was thinking about Space last night, I will CAT her and see if she replies.

TicTac · 22/09/2005 14:11

Space has not posted since Monday. I have sent her a CAT so I hope she will be back on soon.
Wow...we are quite protective of our brood aren't we!!

3K - not sure what day or if we are going yet. Just want to get the all clear from 20 week scan before we decide!

No they are really funny about it. I will take my mum, she is feeling a bit down at the moment as it was the anniversary of my dad's death last weekend so it may cheer her up and give her soemthing to look forward to.

Amanda - I reckon you should ask you new "friend" to go with you for moral support, you never know where it could lead!!

That's a shame Amanda. Perhaps one of your friends can come along instead.

Off home at 3.30pm, hope you feel better soon. Get some rest and bar all calls from your ex to your phone as you dont need the stress from him.

I will try and post tomorrow from home after my scan. Tabs - is yours tomorrow too?

Tabs · 22/09/2005 15:12

Yep, I'm tomorrow too, and someone else is - JuA I think.

Tictac, that's a rather long way to travel for the day! isn't there one in Birmingham soon??/ before you have bump??

Tabs, don't worry about the blowout, it happens to us all, and I couldn't stop eating the other day, and wow if I'm not sporting a bigger bump today just a spurt I guess!

3k, {{hugs}} re dh not being able to get the time of work, but like you say it'll be good for your mum, you never know the hospital might decide you need more scans later anyway!(they took me back last time for possible placenta previa, that wasn't! also did another 3 of my friends in aqua natal, none of whom had it!) that way he'll get to 'see' bump again before the big day

Amanda1, hope you feel better soon x

Tabs · 22/09/2005 15:19

Frizbe - Birmingham show isn't until May sadly, as I'd rather go there too (slightly further but driveable rather than having to do public transport).

OP posts:
Frizbe · 22/09/2005 15:21

Oh bugger! thought they're be another one before then....pah!

3k · 22/09/2005 15:21

Thanks Frizbe xxxx

Tabs - good luck tomorrow and other person. Are you both finding out flavours?

Off home shortly so may not reply any more

Speak soon

3K

TicTac · 22/09/2005 15:23

I know...grumble at Birmingham not being until after the birth...
TABS - we went to a home show in Olympia not too long ago and parked at a nearby station for £3 and then got the train the other 20 minutes in...it was all very easy...I think it was Hillingdon Station! So we would do that again. Would that not work for you?

x

Frizbe · 22/09/2005 15:25

Tabs could you make a weekend of it and get a nice romantic hotel break out of dh for it as well?!

JuA · 22/09/2005 18:45

Scan tomorrow - I am quite excited to find out the flavour now!! I have been getting loads of comments at work - I reckon I look about 30 weeks - so I look much closer to 40 weeks than I am so lots of people are asking when I finish or when I am due!!!
Tabs and 3K - hope everthing goes OK tomorrow

Tabs · 22/09/2005 19:27

Thanks JuA - good luck to you and 3K too. I'm also quite excited.

Met a lady in Saks last weekend who was expecting twins and had just 3 weeks to go. She was really big, but still seemed perfectly mobile and cheery, so hopefully you'll be the same.

JuA · 22/09/2005 19:59

I am feeling really well at the moment (touch wood)- I am sure that has quite a lot to do with a 2 week holiday from work! but it was nice to go back just for the compliments about how well I looked and how impressive the bump is!

Morning ladies - not sleeping so well at the moment, so thought I'd pop on for a quick hello.
Scan isn't until 2pm, so I'll still be around this morning.

Amanda - how was focaccia and olive oil/balsamic vinegar - sounds yummy, and no, there's no reason not to have it, apart from maybe it being responsible for your bigger belly this morning .

Womba - sorry to hear that you're feeling under the weather. Hope you are a little brighter today.
