I was trying to think of a decent title to start it! I like yours!!!!

No idea what flavour mine is... can I ask one request... can we stick to "flavour" rather than pink baby or blue baby - blue baby always makes my stomach churn

So far I keep thinking "he", but no real clue! Not finding out either.

Tabs · 14/09/2005 12:34

I keep referring to mine as 'he' as well. Last time I referred to it as 'she' all the time.
At least this time I'll actually get to find out (at some point even if not on scan)!!

Afternoon girls - just scoffing my lunch at my desk so doing a bit of surfing!

Like the flavour reference - have known mine is girl flavour since 14 weeks - already done my list of names - though dp has yet to - again!

Last time, dp was cramming 3 initials a night the week before I was due - like it was an exam. Bit of a waste of time really as I had decided what she was going to be called anyway. Did discuss the middle name - on the way to the hossy as we couldn't make up our minds!

Intend to get the name sorted before Christmas.

How is everyone - hope you are well.

flamesparrow · 14/09/2005 12:40

I'm not planning on doing much naming until we have a baby in our arms.

I was never settled with DD's name - felt when I saw her that it wasn't her... so this time we're letting baby tell us.

Tabs · 14/09/2005 12:53

We are still absolutely set on first name of Elliot if it's a boy. Still unsure of middle name though.

Had a dawning realisation that I love the name 'Fitz' the other day, but need a longer version for a middle name. Apparently it can be short for Fitzpatrick, Fitzgerald, Fitzroy or Fitzhugh. Unfortunately DH doesn't like any of these, and despite mentioning that it was also short for Fitzwilliam, he won't go for that as it's really a surname.

I'd really like a nice distinguished (poss biblical) 4 syllable middle name, but I can't sell Zacharius to DH, and struggling to think of many others.

Errr... Fitz is another word for bastard though. I do like it too though!

And Grrrr at Amanda!

3k · 14/09/2005 13:05

Come on Amanda - I'm dying to know!!!

Yay for girlie!!!

Can I be really awkward.... is there any way we can change the stats to show what flavour people are having too?

Feel free to beat me with a big stick

flamesparrow · 14/09/2005 13:10

I can go out now too.. not been capable of leaving the computer without knowing

3k · 14/09/2005 13:10

Ahhhh, this is turning into a girlie flavoured link. Congrats on a little sister for your DD.

Perhaps there will be a few boy flavours next week to balance it out as there is only me so far isnt there??????

hotmama1 · 14/09/2005 13:15

It'll be fun to find out what names we choose - and when we duplicate. I'm on the October 04 thread where my dd has the same name as someone else. Won't make a bit of difference to me what names are being chosen - because our little ones will be our individuals.

Yay for girlies - I am so looking forward to having 2 (although only not quite 16 months apart - oh the hard work at the beginning).

chloe55 · 14/09/2005 13:17

No idea what mine is yet, I'm all out in front so some say girl, some say boy but I think it is all a load of crap anyway. DH would really like a boy, I'm not bothered. Not decided if we will find out the flavour yet, don't want DH disappointed that he might get peach flavour as appose to strawberry (if you know what I mean!) Whereas if we don't know until the day then I don't think it will be an issue eitherway just a long as the fruit is in good condition!

Morgan · 14/09/2005 13:21

Amanda1 - congrats on your girlie flavour.

Last time when i had a clot i was on 40mg all the way through. But this time my consultant (different one and different hospital) says only 20mg as a preventative dose until 28 weeks and then 40mg so i don't know why you are on 40 straight away. Re giving the injections i suggest trying to relax and i breathe out as i put the needle in (sorry if tmi for some people) and find that helps and usually it is painless. Sometimes it can be a sensitive area so i feel around until i find an area that feels ok.

Morgan · 14/09/2005 13:22

Re flavours i am not going to find out although ds1 keeps saying he wants a brother !

Tabs · 14/09/2005 13:25

Flame - is it really - I didn't know that . Good job DH has vetoed it then!

Amanda - congrats on impending DD!

Course I can add the flavour into the stats Flame. Let me check that I can remember everyone who knows so far...
Girls are Hotmama, Amanda, TicTac
Boys just 3K so far
Does anyone else know who I've forgotten?

teuch · 14/09/2005 13:25

Hullo all! I found you!!

COngrats to all who know which flavour they are getting - I won't find out which suits me. I would like to know, but then un-know before baby arrives IYKWIM so that it is a surprise!

Anyway, ticking along here at almost 21wks - weekly antenatal yoga which I love, starting to think about what we need to shop for and clearing out junk to make room for matty clothes and baby stuff!

I have been floored with tiredness and nausea again (nausea because I'm so tired I think)...I have just started iron tablets so hopefully that will work without too much effect on the 'other' end!

Also, the ever-growing breasts are continuing (now in E cup from a C!!) which has put paid to my best outfit - and I have 2 weddings this weekend!!

Sorry for the massive post - I don't get a chance to do it very often!

RachelRog · 14/09/2005 13:43

Whoops I have just posted on old thread! DURRR!!

My amnio on Monday went smoothly - this time the consultant really knew what she was doing and didn't mess around like the other one seemed to last week.

Results back yesterday and all is well!! So very relieved and going to start enjoying this pregnancy now!

Still taking it easy and hopefully moving house on Friday so lots to look forward to.

XXXX

3k · 14/09/2005 13:49

Glad to hear all is ok for you Rachel, I'm really pleased it all worked out well. Just chill out and relax now and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!!!

RachelRog - fab news. Did they tell you the sex? Can't remember if you wanted to find out or not?

Ok - just read your post on old thread - so you didn't find out. You could always call them back and not tell DH you know

OP posts:
popmum · 14/09/2005 14:19

Hi all - we had a lovely holiday in france and am now having to wear mat trousers. Was struggling with my old jeans but they were juts too painful! Am feeling a bit self concious in them though.
Am busy trying to potty train my 2 year old today and try and find out about nurseries etc!

Anyway, is anyone else rhesus negative? If so, what have you been told or are you doing re anti d injections? I am and am really not sure what to do

Morgan · 14/09/2005 14:31

Amanda 1 - six weeks after. You can go on warfarin but the injections are better in my experience. You have to go for regular blood checks which is no fun with a new baby.
