Hi all - we've very nearly exhausted the 1,000 post limit on our previous thread so here is the new one.

Looking forward to continuing to share the ups, downs, symptoms, queries, worries and joy (fingers tightly crossed!)

More than 53!

IsabelleSE19 · 26/10/2010 16:14

Afternoon all. Went to the hospital for the first time this morning for a dietary advice session. Was all basic stuff I pretty much knew, but it was good to hear someone standing up and saying it - will try to think of her before reaching for the chocolate instead of the fruit!

Still no word about midwife or scan - am 9 weeks today so hopefully won't be much longer.

mummynumber2 - saw that you are in Thornton Heath. Are you going to be at Mayday for the birth?

broughthimroundtotheidea · 26/10/2010 16:20

Not really cep except my DF who loves to say " use the fork Luke " at any available opportunity!
Going back to the take that concert, I'm thinking would it be better for me to try and go to the earlier concert in manchester, with 2 weeks to go?? I did drop out of a Robbie concert when I was pregnant with DS but that was all standing, I could go seated at 9 months pregnant do we reckon? Grin

8rubberduckies · 26/10/2010 16:26

My more realistic guess is 65.

yellowtomato · 26/10/2010 16:27

ok...........62!

broughthimround having never done it before I've no idea what it is like to be 9 months pregnant....my course finished 2 weeks after my due date so I was wondering if I'd be able to finish that if i go overdue.....which is probably less ambitious than a concert.

Maybe it would depend on how much standing/queuing/toilet situation?

CuppaMouldyBatBallsBrothJanice · 26/10/2010 16:40

I think physically there's a good chance you'd be able to go to a concert etc at 8 or 9 months pregnant, as long as you don't get SPD, pre-eclampsia or that type of problem.

The trouble is, you've got something very, very tiring to do soon afterwards. If somebody said to you 'We're going to climb Everest at some point in the next couple of weeks, but I'm only going to give you a few hours notice, so pack your bags!' would you spend those two weeks resting, or out working/partying/watching Take That? I don't take my own advice, by the way. Last time I was working on my due date!

More than 65...

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 26/10/2010 16:48

Watching you all worry about the TT concerts makes me very pleased I can't stand them and therefore having no issue at all missing them [hgrin] [henvy] (that's a witch not envy).
Of course now I said that no doubt something else will come up in late June that'll I'll have to miss Grin

yellowtomato · 26/10/2010 16:50

ok........73......am I getting warmer?

broughthimroundtotheidea · 26/10/2010 16:52

hmm, decision decisions.........I would have to have a CS which would be booked in and if my dates work out right and I am lucky enough for this pregnancy to last, I would be due around the 16th, concerts run from may 30th to july 7th. Realistically think it's got to be a No to going. I am feeling rather cynical about the concert to be honest, i'm not feeling the love for Rob being back in the band and think it is all being cooked up for cash. tickets range from £55 to £90 not including booking fees which is rather steep. I paid £45 last time for TT and £45 for Knebworth (which was awesome) having said that if I wasn't PG I wouldn't not go!!!

CuppaMouldyBatBallsBrothJanice · 26/10/2010 16:53

Closer, but still lukewarm!

8rubberduckies · 26/10/2010 17:02

85?

yellowtomato · 26/10/2010 17:07

91?

Beesok · 26/10/2010 17:34

how about 107! ;)

Beesok · 26/10/2010 17:37

Anyone sleepy out there? I fell asleep (deeply!) on the way back from work. I feel a bit bad - I was in a really shitty mood today (why hormones??) and I was such a grouch at work when my staff are really lovely and v. supportive of my pregnancy (I only told the people in my room) Blush

I was so stressed out by the kids (I work in nursery) and I am worried I will have a colic baby if I don't calm down!

Clarkiee · 26/10/2010 17:48

My DH went to the local supermarket yesterday whilst I had a great nap in the car (unfortunatly he'd parked by the crossing so hope nobody saw me).

mrsbigw · 26/10/2010 18:00

I'm sure I saw take that when I was pg with DS1 (now 15)or DS2 (12), it was at Manchester & I was definately 3rd trimester. We were seated but high up and the steps were awful as it was so busy & my balance isnt great when heavily PG. Having said that I was quite large at the time with baby. broughthimroundtotheidea I agree about the robbie thing.

I was hoping to go on a big holiday Winter 2012 & thats been shelved for Lord knows how long now as I don't like taking very little ones on holiday; I like sunbathing too much!

Beesok I think colic is just one of those things that either happens or it doesn't so dont worry.

67?

Beesok · 26/10/2010 18:21

Thanks MrsBig :) sometimes I feel so stressed - not by the workload but the mere fact of dealing with, let's put it delicately, very difficult children. It's hard because I obviously maintain professional standards and do not show my anger (well, a raised voice every now and then) but I feel like it's stressing me from the inside and that's not helping my baby. I really hope I will not make similar mistakes with my children - it's unbelievable how some 4 yr olds behave and when you speak to the parents they shrug it off with a laugh (I'm talking about a child spitting (!) at a teacher!) am very patient with normal 3-4 yr old behavior but some things I cannot tolerate.

Sorry for the rant!!!!!!!! Am off to the gym to cool down :)

mrsbigw · 26/10/2010 18:37

Aw Beesok that sounds like a hard day at work, is it a nursery for kids with behavioural difficulties or just kids who arent getting boundaries at home? It's no wonder the kids act bad when you see some of the parents attitudes eh, poor you.

Am impressed with those of us still managing gym etc I am a complete couch potato at the moment I have never been so bleurghhh.

CuppaMouldyBatBallsBrothJanice · 26/10/2010 18:48

Sorry, went to Sainsburys and bought a lemon meringue pie!!

Beesok's closest - 105, including those who have sadly bowed out. I couldn't believe it!! Quite a few have posted once and disappeared - I hope they're all ok.

Yarnie · 26/10/2010 19:08

Oh my goodness! I can't believe there's so many of us!

On the subject of concerts, one of my mum's favourite stories is how she went to a gig when 9 months pregnant with me, fainted and had to be passed out over people's head like some sort of unconscious crowd surfer. Mind you, she was 16, so didn't know any better Wink.

I just had a viability scan and the bean is ok!! Heartbeat thwocking away. Measures about right. Phew. I'm going to try and relax now.

Hope I can send some calming vibes to all the other nervous nellies out there ---->

crumbletastic · 26/10/2010 19:12

mrswantstobeamum have been advised by midwifes that non-wired bras are not necessary as long as you have been properly measured so wire isn't pinching. I know someone else said this further up the thread too. Its a good job too as I was getting zero support in a non wired bra last pregnancy (I'm an F) but go for whatever is comfy

Yarnie · 26/10/2010 19:31

I echo the comments re: underwired bras. I had non-underwired last time and never felt I got enough support. I started off an E and ballooned enormously. I'm sticking with the underwires this time. I'm still nursing DS at least once a day, so he'll let me know if I have any supply issues!

Igglybuff · 26/10/2010 19:32

wow there are loads of us!

isabelle and mummy are you around croydon sort of way? not far from me.

yarnie glad you had a great scan! Did you get pics?

sasamaxx · 26/10/2010 20:13

I can't believe how many of us there are - that's unbelievable! [hshock]

I'm so gutted about Take That as well - I saw the last 2 tours (was early pregnant with the first one) and just loved them. Agree - not sure how Robbie will change things - was never a Robbie fan really.

Saw the midwife today - she just took some details and checked BP (100 over 60 so OK)
I'll get a booking appt over the next couple of weeks and scan should be somewhere between 20th Nov and 4th Dec.

I'm in for a tough couple of days - babysitting my SIL's 5 kids (along with my 2) tomorrow for 2 hours and Thursday for 7 hours. I'm going to be knackered - to make matters worse DH doesn't get home on a Thurs until late so no help with the kids in the evening after a day of having 7 kids all day.

Anyway - def getting an early night tonight - off to watch Eastenders and then bed.

Hope everyone is OK today and staying on top of their symptoms [hsmile]

Beesok · 26/10/2010 20:23

Yarni that's great news!!!!! So happy for you!

And yes! I won the counting competition [hgrin]

Got back from the gym rosy cheeked and relaxed - now it's a bath and snuggles with hubby for a bit in front of TV and BED :)

PS My husband is somewhat grateful for this forum where I can rant and talk about my pregnancy all day long but he's getting a bit jealous too [hwink]
