cowboylover · 01/12/2010 20:01

Hello all,I hope everyone is well and happy Wednesday so the mid way point to the weekend so in our house it makes it another week closer to the 20 week scan which I am so excited about. I am really looking forward to hearing about everyones scans over the next few weeks.

Sorry for not name checking tonight but I have just got home from work and I have still got another 2 hours work to do on my report and I have got to get my numbers right or I wont be getting as much cute baby stuff as I was planning on with my bonus (I hope!)in January!

Loopy your girls are sooo cute I cant wait to see the pics of the 4 some!

LittleMilla · 01/12/2010 20:35

hi all, how's everyone feeling this week? I am utterly cream crackered and am literally having flashbacks to about week nine when I was fit for nothing.

Loopy and others, I am also far too knackered to namecheck, so looks like we're all in the same boat!

My bump has suddenly started to get mahoosive. Really is no doubting that I am pg now and I had my first "oooh, sure there's only one in there" comment yesterday. Joyous.

Work is killing me at the moment and am fantising about the weekend. I know I mustn't grumble as many of you already have DC to deal with. But i am doing silly hours and have got to try and cut back.

Oh, and ribcage has expanded so I had to buy another three bras this evening. Tired of the red marks at the end of every day. Hmm

Love to all, xxx

Thank you for the welcomes Smile
Have added myself to the list (hope I did it right?)

We have our first snow day today, can't wait to build a snowman!

Loopymumsy - your making me panic, feel like there's more I need to be doing at the moment! Going through another tired stage again I think, I can't think of anything but sleep!

How is everybody getting on with the snow? Its terrible here and I am a bit scared about falling over. I fell over on the snow/ice two years ago near the childminders house and hit my head pretty hard.
I am still spotting. So bored of it now!!
Am 16 weeks + 3 (I think, been given two different "day" measurements so keep losing track!). Think I have felt movements, but not entirely sure. May just be me and wishful thinking!
Midwife next week but I must rearrange the time, as its DD's Christmas concert half hour earlier so I cant be in two places at once, and I'd be gutted to miss her singing.
Her school is closed today. Was supposed to be in an exam today but was so ill this morning I couldn't make it, plus had to stay in for my dad to pop around and start work on fixing my heating. Our carbon monoxide detector went off yesterday morning, so we called National Grid out and they condemed the boiler; not because they could prove c/m but because they couldn't relight the boiler to confirm/deny. So, my dad has bought me a combi heater (love my dad Grin) and it should be getting fitted Friday & Saturday. House is a mess as have had to rip up some of DD's floor to get to some pipes, the contents of the airing cupboard are now on my bedroom floor. Luckily still have hot water. Dad gave me a little blow heater, so last night DD, DH and I were walking around the room with this one little heater. It does kick off some heat though, but it costs a lot to run!!

Hope everybody is okay. Did catch up on everybody's posts. Haven't been on for a while.

cowboylover · 02/12/2010 18:15

Elf I am 16+3 and I think I have as well and when I described the feelings to my midwife today she said it sounds like it!

We listed to the heartbeat and it was lovely, she only agreed after she made it very clear that if may not be possible to hear. Couldnt do it for long as it kept moving and she said they dont like it so didnt get to ask how many BPM she just said about twice as fast as yoursSmile

I had a look at that Birth choices website and all red from my hospital but I like them and felt good so far so I not going to let it change my decision.
Waiting for the new baby play mat to arrive but with the snow we have had I would expect it to be a few days late, no rush but I am looking forward to seeing it.

Went mad online with my card last night and I think I have now ordered all of Christmas for the family (only a few I buy for) so feeling a bit more in to the idea now x

cowboylover · 02/12/2010 18:18

(starting to well up at the thought of familiy pics in the future!)

DMCWelshCakes · 02/12/2010 20:18

Hello everybody. Just a quick read & dash, but glad to see everyone's ok. Am 18 weeks tomorrow & can't believe how quickly this pregnancy's going compared to the last one.

Hope everyone's ok in the cold weather.

Hello all, hope your all coping with the snow and ice. We don't have much here but its very cold.
I'm finally feeling that i'm getting top side of the cold and sinusitus that has plagued me for the last 4 weeks. My bump seems to be growing everyday and I now look pregnant and not just fat :o .
Staying in today and attacking a pile of ironing then i'm planning on baking later on to warm the kitchen up and have some goddies waiting for DH when he finishes work.
Can't wait til next week we're away for a few days R+R staying in a lovely hotel with a spa for some pampering, just hope the snow doesn't spoil our plans.

gingerwench · 03/12/2010 14:25

17+1.
Finally the nausea and sickness seem to have abated. I've kept dinner down several days in a row and not even a retch this morning! It's nice to be able to cook for DH and DS again too.

This morning's amnio was unpleasant but quick. I'm lying on the sofa relaxing. Nice to see Falafel again moving happily around. Hope the next 5 days go quickly.

Lots and lots of snow here and amazing icicles developing on the house. Terribly cold.

tiredandgrumpy · 03/12/2010 21:35

Is anyone else having very emotional dreams? I seem to have ones in which I get utterly furious over ridiculous scenarios. Last night I stropped about the layout of a gap store! Why can't these hormones give me nice dreams?

Dh feels very disappointed that I'm still not feeling horny, even though it's the 2nd trimester ( he'd been hoping it would be 3rd time lucky).

brillopads · 03/12/2010 22:20

Went emergency bra shopping today as the one I was wearing (30d) was definitely no longer doing the trick. I came away with a 30G; hopefully leaving a little room in the cup so I don't have to go back again in a fortnight- but trying it on at home the underwires just seem to be digging in my armpits ?? Confused

tired&grumpy I think my sex-drive hormones are finally kicking in Wink perhaps my DH won't know what hit him this weekend... especially with my 'sexy' new massive bra that doesn't fit properly Grin

fijibaby · 04/12/2010 05:24

Hello Ladies,

Haven't posted for a while but have tried to keep up with everyone's news. Was writing a list of noteworthy things a la Loopy but they seem completely out-of-date now.

Welcome new people!

The last week and half has been taken up with a lot of rushing around and some feeling dreadful - the predicted cyclone last weekend turned into a mere tropical depression with 4 days of torrential rain and the accompanying headache, the cherub and I went stir crazy confined to the house while the heavens opened. Spent some of the time debating with self whether huge amounts of rain is better/worse than the huge amounts of snow you've been getting in UK. But all better now and on with the packing!

We move back to NZ in 14 days and so I seem to have a list as long as Loopy's of things to do in the next 2 weeks... pack, say goodbye to people, sort clothes into several piles - take home with us, send home with house lot, donate to worthy causes, consign to rag pile, pack some more, cry with dear friends we are leaving behind, and all this whilst trying not to fret too much about the fact that we don't have a house to live in when we get back to NZ 5 days before Christmas. No stress. Hmm

Tiredandgrumpy have been having really weird dreams, woke up in a panic last night because I couldn't remeber DD's name... I don't have a DD... yet. Do you think this is a sign or just wishful thinking?

Gingerwench is perfect excuse to lie back and take it easy. Hope the wait goes quickly.

Loopy I was really ticked off when I found out that my DB told our sis about his wife's pg really early but waited until 12 weeks to tell me, apparently we are in the 'everybody else' category. In a fit of pique I did the same to him this time. I'm so grown up Grin

15+4 today and no kicks yet. Was hoping for a little flutter but it will come.

Sending warming thoughts to all.

pissovski · 04/12/2010 16:27

hi all,

am now 18+3 and think i have felt a few tiny movements. I definitely feel 'firmer' round my waist and my tummy, but still look outwardly the same. Am just about getting away with pre pg clothes - loose tops for work over a long sleeved t shirt have become my uniform!

Had my 16 wk appt (at 17+1) and heard the heartbeat :) so lovely. Have my scan at 20+2 so not long now!

Feeling a little lightheaded occasionally - esp in the morning. Don't think its anything to worry about but just wish it would go! It feels like my eyes are moving faster than my head! Weird

Hope you are all well x

cowboylover · 04/12/2010 17:29

Tired: My sex drive is more on and off than before but I think that has mroe to do with the cold I think I have had for ages!

I went to work yesterday and was sick on myself on the way to work in the car so had to turn around after a massive coughing fit and continued to do the same all day so walked around the house with a bucket! I still managed to work from home in some sort of fashion.

Very excited today as DH bought a new car and I am having his lush Focus so no more worries about fitting everything in my KA! Hes good to me x

Watching Mrs Doubtfire now Grin

sesamesmith · 04/12/2010 21:59

Hi All.

Finally managed to get enough energy to sit up enough to use the computer. I have THE BUG that all the school kids seem to have a the moment - sick, very sick! Feeling extremely sorry for self and hoping that the little bairn will cope.

The up side is that I can clearly feel movements. Like little tiny kicks. Thanks to being totally stationary for hours trying not to throw up!

17 + 2 today.

Went shopping with a pregnant friend yesterday for pushchairs. What confusion! Anyone any advice I can pass her way? Her budget is limited and she's looking for a car seat as well.

It's lovely to hear everyone's news - really perks the day/week up :)

QwertyQueen · 05/12/2010 04:34

HI all,
Hope you are all doing well....
have had such a distrupted night's sleep - my joint pain is back :(
Haven't had it this whole pregnancy and was really hoping it would last but apparently not... feeling sore and down about it :(

15 weeks now, and desperate to feel definite movements! Roll on week 19 and the next scan!

Have any of you done your Christmas shopping? I think I might get to a mall and try and crack it this morning, don't want to leave it till the last minute rush...
