Dilly I am so sorry I missed you off my congrats- Congratulations on the birth of Toby! What a marathon- you have my empathy Grin.

Thank you Hermya Smile.

Nymph Bronwen has had strip washes since day 1 and to combat her dry skin (normal apparently) she gets an olive oil massage. I really want to bathe her, but I haven't got the energy and time seems to get away from me! I'd like to do one in the evening as she has her strip washes in the morning. I WILL try one soon!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 31/10/2010 13:57

Congratulations all new babies!!

I've got the final of the major visitations underway, last set of ils, then we will finally be able to settle down as a family. Dd is doing well, but I'm getting really sleep deprived as dd is full of ds' cold so not feeding well- full of wind and snacking :( hopefully she is beginning to get better, I'm going to give gripe water a go rather than infacol and see if that winds her better.

I can't believe my baby will be a month old on Friday!! The 6-8 week watershed is speeding towards us!!

Nymph- I hope your ear clears up. Pnd watch sucks, do you feel ok this time?

Abfab-you sound so loved up :) you wait until he smiles at you, I think you'll burst!!

Hermya-glad you feel more comfortable!

Elsa-lovely name :)

Ilgh-Booo! I hope things get going for you soon. It must suck to hear us wittering on. It can't possibly be long now!

Never new about cauls so thanks for educating me! Lol at mil!

Right, best go. I'm going to need nerves of steel for the next few days.

Ooh: nearlyforgot: new series 2.15pm weekdays has the lovely JOHN SIMM and Jenny agutter in it-someone is determined I get through this year without pnd :) perfect for watching during my toddler's nap :)

Happy days :)

Elsa123 · 31/10/2010 14:00

Seashells It must be pants that your DD has the cold- I'm really paranoid about mine catching one!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 31/10/2010 14:24

Colds are unavoidable-but I had hoped she would have been bigger when she got her first!!

sam12 · 31/10/2010 14:58

Congrats to any babies born since I last posted. Am struggling to keep up my brain is officially mush!

Elsa love the name. I've been bathing dd in olive oil for the dry skin and I decided to get in with her the other day and my skin felt lovely so going to try and do that more often. She loves it in the bath.

Sea I keep thinking we've finished with the visitors and then more show up! Hope Your Dds cold clears up soon.

Ilgh hope your lo makes an appearance soon you must be so frustrated

Hello to everyone else

AbFabT · 31/10/2010 15:10

Sea, am totally loved up, yes! He is amazing to me. :) He's already formed smiles though I know he's not smiling smiling, just changing mouth shape, but I think it's close!

Sorry to hear about the poorliness in your home - hope it clears up soon.

We just watched The Devil's Whore, for all you John Simm fans - was just on TV - I know it's a couple of years old, I don't remember seeing it being advertised before, but one to catch up with if you like JS and haven't seen it.

DS has taken to feeding laying down now, so I am very pleased about that. It's lovely, just laying snuggling with him. He feeds well, and looks to be thriving.

Elsa123 · 31/10/2010 15:23

Well done AbfabT- I'm wondering if my DD is too small for the lying down thing at the moment. I can lie back and have her draped over me for skin to skin and she'll feed that way. She falls asleep so easily anyway without doing the lying down thing!

I've just had to pack away DD's first sleep suits. They were early baby ones from mothercare and they fitted in the body but not in the legs anymore and I feel really sad! I feel so sad she's no longer that size even if she's still tiny. She's now on tiny baby size, but its huge on her.

nymphadora · 31/10/2010 15:35

elsa I bath then massage in front of the fire so its warm. Dd3 had v dry skin but looking better now.

seashells few dodgy moments like refusing to get up when the shower broke but so far just hormonal fluctuations I think. What's the John SIMM thing called?

nymphadora · 31/10/2010 15:37

elsa dd3s newborn stuff is getting small now :( some of it is 11 years old & did dd1/2 and I'm v :( that this is the end

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 31/10/2010 17:49

Bbc1 2.15pm moving on. Claire skinner too.

Nymph- I find everyone around me analyzing every mood swing is driving me loopy! But this time with Ds I already had every sign, so being alot more positive. I hope everyone else is feeling good :) it's tough but worth it!

Hermya321 · 01/11/2010 10:34

DS has hit his feeding frenzy stage, I was up more times last night than I care to remember. DH kept waking up to me crying in sheer frustration as everytime I put DS down he would start to root again.

Gosh you think you've found your edge and then they move you right past that one to the next one don't they.

OP posts:
nymphadora · 01/11/2010 10:43

What day are you now hermya ? dd3 had a frenzy just after my milk came in I think its something to do with ensuring supply

Dd3 kept ending up in bed with me last night as I was shattered. Ear not conductive to getting up & down which isd when it hurt. other one feeling fuzzy today too. :(

sam12 · 01/11/2010 10:48

Feeling for you hermya. It is frustrating isn't it? Dd just wouldn't settle or feed last night and then was massively sick in the early hours so that must have been the problem. I am so tired now.
Hope ds calms down for you soon.

Hermya321 · 01/11/2010 11:30

Nymph We're on day 8 now, he's had a break and has now started feeding again. I doubt I'm going to bother getting dressed today.

SamB Hope Dd calms down for you soon as well.

nymphadora · 01/11/2010 12:29

Do they both root if with dh? I've found if dd3 is with me she always roots whereas if she's with dh she only does if she's hungry.

kelsuprise · 01/11/2010 13:10

Hi ladies. Congrats on all who have had their little ones- well done to you all, I have loved reading all your stories and envious of all your baby snuggles!! Well I was due on Saturday and was told that as I have polyhydramnios (excess fluid) that I would DEF not go overdue!! Suprise Suprise, still here with no obvious signs of labour approaching!! At last midwife appointment measured 51 weeks!!!!!! Midwife said I was this biggest she had ever measured, even mums with twins!! Desperate to go into labour soon, who is still waiting???

rollerbaby · 01/11/2010 14:18

I'm STILL waiting!! Have had sex, pineapple and a very long walk today... Fingers crossed!!!

Only 40+1 so could be days I suppose. Wondering if I should get going on reflexilogy or acupuncture or wait until MW appointment on Weds.

I know she will offer a sweep, but can I get her to look at cervix without touching?

I'd rather let things happen naturally...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 01/11/2010 14:31

Well, that's three of us waiting. Am in tomorrow for monitoring and a check on cervix. honeymoo doc or midwife will be able to tell without too much prodding iyswim.

Spoke to dh this morning. We want to wait another week and if no action go for elcs. Don't want the uncertainty of induction.

rollerbaby · 01/11/2010 15:39

How come elcs Gregory instead of induction? Just out of curiosity...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 01/11/2010 15:48

Am a control freak and would worry about the induction being the start of a series of interventions. At least with elcs i know what i'm getting. Sort of. But i really hope she'll be here soon enough.

rollerbaby · 01/11/2010 16:11

Hmm I see your point. Well let's keep bouncing and praying in the meantime!!

nymphadora · 01/11/2010 16:39

Good luck you three!

nymphadora · 01/11/2010 17:02

Keep looking at job sites for dh & came across a perfect one for me IF I hadn't just had a baby. It's full time & would be some shifts. Much more money & promotion but I don't want FT! Plus think they would want me in the new year & don't want to go back that soon, but I've been looking for this sort of job for a few years [frustrated] may sound them out

Hermya321 · 01/11/2010 18:48

Good look you three!! I hope we get some baby news off of you soon.

Nymph There's nothing wrong with giving them a ring is there, they may be flexible for the right person if they like you enough. How is the job hunt for DH going?

OP posts:
nymphadora · 01/11/2010 18:56

Only just started looking for dh , he applied for one on fri at v last min so may have been too late. More than I thought out there in his specifications (not wanting previous work). Can cope for a bit if he doesn't get anything & I do like having him at home Blush
